Granada is a city in the South of Spain, with
approximately 235,000 inhabitants, and is the
centre of an urban area of approximately
530,000 inhabitants.
Founded in 1531, the University of Granada
was is one of the largest and most important
universities in Spain. With over 60.000
undergraduate and postgraduate students
and 6.000 staff.
UGR offers a total of 89 degrees, 110
master’s degrees and 28 doctoral
programmes through its 123 departments
and 27 centers.

What is Medialab UGR?
Medialab UGR - Research Laboratory for Digital Culture and Society
(https://medialab.ugr.es/) is a Digital Social Innovation Lab committed to promote
public innovation from universities in order to improve public policies through
knowledge and citizen engagement.
A laboratory for research, experimentation, creativity and the
exploration of new forms of knowledge in the digital society.
Our research is focused on participation, science and technology studies, digital
humanities, using methodologies such as social network analysis.
