PDHPE stands for physical development, health and physical education and is one of six key learning areas in the primary school curriculum. It covers topics like nutrition, growth, safe living, games, sports, and healthy lifestyles. Teaching PDHPE in primary school allows students to learn the importance of healthy living and physical activity from a young age to develop lifelong healthy habits. It also enhances learning by combining other key areas like ICT, English, and math within lessons. PDHPE teaches essential life skills beyond physical health like decision making, problem solving, social skills, acceptance, tolerance, and leadership. Lessons should be fun, engaging, varied, cooperative, exciting, informative, active, and modified for students
