a child’s education as it provides children with
support to develop a healthy lifestyle.
PDHPE incorporates all aspects of wellbeing and
promotes children to be active and take
responsibility over life choices.

 PDHPE is not just about physical education but also
about providing life long skills for children to guide
them through their lives.
 PDHPE is valuable as it allows children to identify
who they are in this world and their amazing
capabilities.
 In 2011- 2012 only 19% of 5-17 year olds were
engaged in the recommended 60 minutes of physical
education a day across 7 days.
