2. 1. Jon Egging Memorial, Bournemouth
I chose this location in
particular as it links
directly to the title of the
song ‘Flight’, which I am
using for my production.
The imagery of
aeroplanes will capture
the heart and minds of
my audience, and
therefore would be very
striking.
3. 2. RNLI Memorial, Poole
I chose this location as it
contains many names of
people risking their lives
at sea, and therefore will
allow my audience to
really think about the
themes of my piece:
•Loss
•Grief
•Mourning
•Moving forward
4. 3. “Semper Paratus”, Poole Quay
I felt that this location
would link well to the
RNLI Memorial I had
already chosen, as it is
also another memorial
that remembers those
who have been out at
sea.
5. 4. World War II Memorial,
Bournemouth Gardens
The memorials I have already
chosen are very much confined to
my local area, and therefore I
wanted to choose a location which
will appeal to my broad audience.
World War II was an event which
affected a huge number of people,
and therefore I feel this location
will tie in very well to my key
themes, and capture the emotion
of many.
6. 5. My School
In my school, we have a
grand piano, and therefore
I wanted to use this to its
advantage. It would be
easy to gain permission,
and as both myself and my
singer/songwriter attend
the same school, it would
be easy to arrange when to
film.
