Safety Brake for Motorised Platforms
Eide manufactures two types of safety brakes for motorized platforms with
different brake systems.
Type EC brakes for motorized platforms: their assembly consists of two distinct
points to the transmission of the motorized platform.
Assembly between motor and reductive.
Independent assembly of the transmission.
Type FPC platform brakes: in motorized platforms to elevate people and charge,
besides conventional motorized brakes to guarantee safety in the case of any
break, it is used an FPC safety brake with and independent assembly that assures
the charge stop safely leaving aside all the transmission elements.
Thus, it is mandatory an FPC safety brake in all kind of motorized platforms
regulated by current legislation.
Brake for CN Numeric Control Machinery
In the process of mechanizing big pieces used by a worker in a checkpoint to
guarantee his safety, type EC centrifugal safety brakes and type FPC total safety
are used.
FPC over speed safety brakes activate when they detect a superior descent
speed. They are automatically rearmed once the problem is solved.
EC centrifugal over speed safety brakes avoid any acceleration that goes out of
control. A possible accident becomes just an incident thanks to them.
Clutch for Winding Machine
Clutches for winding machines keep the tension belt in a bobbin. To control the
acceleration of a winding machine successfully, EIDE manufactures some
electromagnetic clutches with this function: SER clutch, NE clutch or SEE clutch.
The SER electromagnetic clutch is formed by a single-disc clutch, which is self-
supporting and assumes a normal and regular voltage from 0 to 24 V.c.c.
2. The NE pneumatic clutch allows the pressure control in a decoiler that regulates
the pressure between 0 and 5.5 bar.
Finally, the SEE electromagnetic clutch shares most of the characteristics of the
SER electromagnetic clutch.
Cutter Clutch-Brake
Eide’s NEF pneumatic clutch-brake is used in cutters from the graphic arts
industry, sheets and textile industry. It has a safe and fast response with high
durability, performance, and precision.
NEF pneumatic clutch-brake main feature is that it does not need any rotating air
taking so it can be assembled at any point on a shaft.
The fact of being self-supporting and its constructive shape allow multiple
assemblies without applying any particular action.
Limiter for Paper Cutter
LPC torque limiter for paper cutters in the graphic arts industry can absorb
overcharges and wears without modifying the regulated torque. Moreover, it can
work continuously.
Its system of helicoidal springs provides great sensibility.
Limiter for Strapping Machine
The main goal of a strapping machine is packing up any product. EIDE’s limiters
allow tension in the attachment shafts of the product.
EIDE’s LPC torque limiter, having a vast regulation field that does not modify the
regulated torque abruptly, avoids overcharges and wears in the strapping
machine and allows continuous working.
Couplings for Rolling Mill
Rolling mills have steamrollers which add pressure over malleable material
against another steamroller that makes it thinner and provides it a sheet shape.
To achieve it successfully, it is necessary to apply them on their torque limiters,
clutches and brakes, and elastic couplings.
Such elastic couplings are manufactured to be applied in rolling mills where there
are a hard work and frequent stops and starts.

3. Coupling for Profiling Machines
In the hard work performed by profiling machines, it is necessary the use of

A profiling machine is formed by different rollers divided into stations. Within such
stations, the material is outlined. It is a laborious process in which stops and
starts are frequent and where it is necessary to apply elastic couplings but also
torque limiters and electromagnetic and pneumatic clutches.
There are several Nil-Union elastic couplings applied to aligned shafts, clutches
or brakes to get an efficient performance during the working process.
