A vast amount of young people are big fans of the
genre
Good for people seeking a cheap thrill
Easy to follow, similar to many other films situated
within this genre
3. Camerawork/Editing
Vast array of angles/sizes, such as wide shots leading to close ups, tracking
and establishing shots.
Graphic Matching
Used a lot of audio, instead of sound in many clips, heightens tension and
enigma
Lots of tracking shots to help show the audience the environment and to
aid them in analysing the area so they can understand what is happening
more
4. Enigma!!!
Major part of an opening is to create enigma
Lack of dialogue heightens tension
Normal routine of protagonist and innocence of environment
around him, urges viewers to think that a problem is inevitable.
The opening is almost a sign if the film is going to be entertaining
and of good quality, that is why we have tried to pack as much
excitement in as possible.
5. Cast
Use of young actor makes the audience feel more empathetic towards him,
as he has his whole life ahead of him yet he is meeting such an early death.
Also, the use of an unknown actor will intrigue the audience, as they are
seeing a young unexperienced actor partake in a film and develop a talent
and ability to act.
