Developer Data Modeling Mistakes: From Postgres to NoSQL
Presentation7
1. Through out this process i have learnt allot about technology that i new about but
didn't necessarily use. one major piece of technology that i haven't used before
and have grown to like is a blog, i have learnt to imbed video and import both text
and images into a blog. Although i have used Photoshop before for minor tasks i
have learnt allot more about the more technical elements of the software through
the production of this piece. One very important thing that i learnt was how to go
back a stage more than one time in a row. this saved me allot of time when
producing the piece as i didn't have to keep recreating things.
Another thing that i learnt to use and now
use in all kinds of software is the use of
layers. this is a great sort of organization
system when producing items on a
software. it allows you to put thing in
different layers of the document, then you
can lock this layer so you cant edit it or you
can make this layer invisible so that you can
work on items behind. this helps you get
the best out of the software.
2. I also feel that i have improved my photography skills throughout this process as i have
learnt more about focus and how to achieve different looks using a camera. i have learnt
about auto focus and manual focus and the benefits of both. i learnt the hard way that if
you do not regularly change the manual focus for each shot the image will be extremely
blurry and create an unusable image. although saying this you can get some really
interesting affects on shots if you use manual focus by focusing on the foreground image
and having the back ground blurry. another thing that i learnt about is the shutter speed
and that you can increase it and move the camera with the object to get a shot of a
blurry back ground but an in-focus foreground shot. bellow is an example of the shot i
was talking about.
