To Fail is to Succeed
Chloe, a former US Army officer and graduate of the Georgia Military College, reminisced with me when she was going through officer training. She
informed me of a general census that is perpetuated within the army; women don't belong in the military. Chloe's instructors would specifically target
her and other female cadets. She received tremendous amounts of hazing from some of her so called male teammates. She was kicked in the face
and spat on but despite all the challenges Chloe overcame them and was commissioned as a second lieutenant. Chloe's story made me really
wonder what keeps people motivated throughout life and why some people give up on their dreams. How do we know when we should throw in
the towel? Why do we decide to just stop pursuing our goals? I found myself lost in thought reflecting upon my own life and goals; How do you
overcome past failures? I have always had a fear of failure that has held me back from reaching my potential; however, after facing many life
challenges I have established a philosophy that I can only get what I want out of life by taking a chance, win or lose.

So how do we define innovation and more importantly, how can we describe it in terms of policing? I'm hoping to dispel some fears along the way

importantly, it also requires a particular type of person – Those who are willing to think differently, willing to take punt on an idea and those who can

As I read J. K. Rowling's commencement speech for a graduating class of Harvard University, I found myself connecting with the text on a very

My Future Goals
One of the most definite answers about my future goals, when I was young, was "I want to be a doctor." I commonly caught myself fantasizing about
treating patients and using the magnificent machines I see in movies to treat people. My ideas were not motivated by my experience. My ideas were
based on movies and other nice stories that I had heard to construct my ideas about my ideal job and education potential. Currently, I wish it was as
easy as I once thought. As I have matured and gotten older, I have realized that to accomplish any career; one has to work very hard and be
passionate about it. I have also learned that my accomplishment of my educational goals is not solemnly based on my abilities, but also the input of the
teachers. Through experience, I have learned that for one to achieve, they should not only be motivated to excel, but also be led by talented and
motivated teachers.
I learned from two separate experiences that the success of a student depends on their input as well as the input of their teachers and their hard work.
I learned that the application of different techniques was important for students to understand and get interested in a subject. An example of a
negative experience I have had in my educational life was when I was in my junior year of studies. I had an algebra class that I was supposed to pass to
