Dear Parent,
The first sustainability theme which your child will be covering under this program is Water. While water pollution is a key problem which needs to be discussed, our focus will be more from the point of view of consumption as in understanding how an individual consumes water in his/her home and how the same can be optimized.
However to begin learning the same, we want to take your child back to our roots, back to the source from where all the water we consume originates.
Identify one river out of the two – Ganga Or Yamuna. On the India Map below, try to create a path of either of the rivers and list down various cities which the river passes through before being merged with the sea. Once you identify all cities, colour code them as follows:
Green – Clean Water Orange – Little Pollution Red – Alarmingly high Pollution Levels
