Dear Parent,
Today in the class we discussed with your child how our irresponsible consumption is impacting the biodiversity around us. We took a case study of Palm Oil which is a very common ingredient in a lot of our products we use daily such as cream, bakery, shampoo etc. You would be amazed to know that an area equivalent to 300 football fields is being removed every hour to grow palm oil. This is leading to a specie called Orangutan to extinction.
We now need your support to inculcate in your child a habit of always choosing to buy responsible products made from naturally existing natural materials. Help you child fill up the below table which essentially looks at some key products you use, what they contain, do they harm the environment and can we find a natural alternative to such products.
