2. Poles waste water not only by not turning the
taps off while shaving or brushing their teeth,
but also ... by throwing food away.
3. Inefficient washing, frequent dish, watering a
garden - careless use of water is a big
problem. But there are bigger problems, too. We
often waste water without even realizing it.
An old leaky pipe - a typical example of accidental water wasting
4. Polish water resources are smaller than, for
example, Egyptian ones and one decent drought
can make the taps dry in many Polish cities.
5. Researchers say that a leaky faucet, from which
water drips at a frequency of one drop per
second, means losses of up to five thousand
liters per year.
8. Lots of tourists staying in the
Tenerife’s hotels forgets about limited
potable water resources of the island.
9. Taking too many showers or baths, using too
much water for washing, flushing toilets and
wasting food are the problems which hotels in
Tenerife and the Canary Islands cope with.
10. We should realize that there is a
problem today before it’s too late!
Be aware of water wasting and
save water wherever and
whenever you can! Tell your
friends and make them aware,
too!
