The surveys conducted with students and teachers at the end of the "Happy Maths" project found that: - The vast majority believed their contribution to be significant, with most students and teachers seeing improvements in English skills. - Students particularly enjoyed activities related to math and English, while teachers favored math-focused topics. - Popular activities included student exchanges, video conferences, and eTwinning cooperation. - Both groups wished to continue collaboration with partners in Portugal.

SUMMARY
The vast majority of the surveyed students - 90% want to take part in the "Happy
Maths" project, only 10% has no opinion on this topic. 90% of students also wants
to establish cooperation with students from the partner schools in Portugal.
Activities within the project that students are interested in include: student
exchanges - 80%, open days and project events - 80%, videoconferences and
online meetings with students from partner schools - 70%, team meetings - 60%,
cooperation via e-twinning - 50%, additional classes and workshops - 10%.
During the implementation of the project, students expect: fun - 100%, increase
in mathematical skills - 50%, increase in language skills - 50%, deepening
knowledge about the country of the partner schools - 10%.

3. AFTER THE EXCHANGE OF STUDENTS IN POLAND

9. SUMMARY
The contribution of work on the project during the exchange in Poland
was significant in the opinion of 64% of teachers, and big in the opinion
of 36% of teachers. 50% of the teachers improved their knowledge of
English during the student exchange in Poland to a very high degree,
awarding the highest rating - i.e. 6 stars, 5% of the teachers awarded 5
stars. 27% of teachers awarded 4 stars, 18% - 3 and 1 star. All the
teachers found the activities, workshops and cultural visits proposed
during the student exchange in Poland attractive and interesting. 100%
of the teachers claims that their participation in the exchange brought
very positive effects, awarding respectively 6 stars (73% of the
teachers) and 5 stars (27% of teachers).
70% of parents involved in the exchange of students in Poland with a
partner school from Portugal (Agrupamento de Escolas de Aljustrel),
who hosted Portuguese students in their homes, say that they spent a lot
of time on the project during the exchange in Poland; 30% say not
much. The vast majority of parents (80%) believe that their child's
participation in the exchange in Poland was very positive, awarding the
highest number of stars - 6 in a scale of 1-6, and 20% awarding 5 stars.
All parents say that their child's participation in the exchange had a very
positive impact on improving English - 90% of parents gives 6 stars
and 10% of parents gives 5 stars in a scale of 1-6. 100% of parents
believes that the project should be continued.
73% of Polish and Portuguese students believes that their contribution
in the implementation of project activities during the exchange in
Poland was significant, and 27% that it was large. 38% of students
claims that they have improved their English language competences to
a very large extent, 42% to a large extent, and 20% to a small extent.
Among the activities that students liked the most during the exchange
are: cultural visits and trips - for 65% of students, spending time with a
partner - for 58% of students, volleyball match - 35%, activities at
school - 31%, farewell dinner (tasting Polish dishes) - 27%. Dance
workshops (81%) and coin minting (35%) were the most interesting for
students. Among the places related to Polish culture that made the
greatest impression on students, the following can be distinguished:

10. Kraków - 62%, Zakopane - 50% and the concentration camp in Oświęcim - 42%.
All Polish and Portuguese students want to keep in touch with their
Polish/Portuguese partners; all students also want to continue the project.
The comments of Polish and Portuguese students after the student exchange in
Poland were very positive. The students said that the exchange was a great
experience for them, that they had an amazing time, for some of them it was the
best time of their lives. They mentioned that they spent wonderful moments
together.

11. AFTER THE EXCHANGE OF STUDENTS IN PORTUGAL,
ALJUSTREL
The student exchange in Aljustrel, Portugal turned out to be an adventure of a
lifetime for many students. They appreciated the wonderful hospitality of their
partners' families and the beauty of Aljustrel and Lisbon. The students also
appreciated the teachers participating in the exchange. By taking part in
workshops and solving various types of tasks, students also realized that math can
be fun and solving problems can be fun.

12. AFTER THE EXCHANGE OF STUDENTS IN PORTUGAL, Povoa de
Varzim
Pupils participating in the student exchange in Povoa de Varzim, Portugal highly
appreciated this mobility. They admitted that they had a nice time, and for many
of them these were the best moments of their lives so far. It is also worth
emphasizing that they claim they will have unforgettable memories.

SUMMARY
The vast majority of students (approx. 80%) believes that their contribution to the
work on the project is significant or large. Almost 90% of the students involved
in the project saw a very large increase in their English language skills, only 5%
saw a slight increase. Most of the students liked the activities and topics touched
on in the project related to mathematics 65% and English (70%) the most. For a
large group of students, topics in the field of European citizenship (approx. 50%)
and sports and arts (approx. 40%) turned out to be interesting and engaging. The
least interesting for students were topics related to science (only 10% of
respondents). Student exchanges, video-conferences and online meetings with
students from partner schools as well as cooperation within eTwinning are the
most interesting project activities according to students (over 70% of
respondents). Over 60% of students considers open days and project events to be

18. SUMMARY
The majority of parents - 60% - devoted little time to the implementation of the
project. 30% much and only 10% a lot. The vast majority of parents - 90%
believes that their child's participation in the project has brought very positive,
and 10% quite positive effects. No parent claims that the effects were minor. All
parents believe that the implementation of the project contributed to a very large
(70%) and large (30%) extent to the improvement of their children's English
language skills. All parents agree that international cooperation should be
continued.
SUMMARY BASED ON ANALYSIS OF
SURVEYS AND INTERVIEWS, CONCLUSIONS FOR THE FUTURE
Both students, teachers and parents evaluate the implementation of the project
very highly. Their positive comments and opinions prove that the project was
successfully implemented and had a significant impact on the people participating
in it as well as on the school. Most parents feel that their child's participation in
the project has had very positive effects and has improved his/her English and
maths skills. It is worth emphasizing that after the project, students began to see
mathematics as a subject that can be fun to learn. They realized that mathematics
is not as difficult as they thought before the project. In addition, many of them
indicated math classes as the most attractive during the project (mainly tangrams
and donuts, a visit to a DIY store, classes at the "Sowa" Science Center). Both
teachers, students and parents agree that international cooperation with partner
schools from Portugal and other European countries should be continued.
Since activities and topics related to science were rated as the least attractive for
students, we plan to expand the project's activities in this area. We are going to
continue math activities in conjunction with science. The idea of a new project to
be implemented in the school year 2023/24 - "Happy Maths & Happy Science"
was born.
