Distance Education
What is distance education?
• Distance education is the innovator education system which is in virtual
environment. Teaching a lesson is supplied as the video, out loud and
interactive. The participant can join courses whenever she/he wants and
watch the lesson again and again.
What are the advantages?
• Student-centered
• There is no time-limit. It is accessable at any time.
• It is a good way of learning for the physically disabled people.
What are the disadvantages?
• Preparing a lesson is a bit difficult for the teachers.
• There is no interaction between students and teacher.
• There can be technical problem during learning and this can distract people.
Evaluation
• Writing self-reflection every week.
• Preparing an online presentation.
Criteria
• For the self-reflection, it requires the use of memory, recall, and
comprehension. The student can construct search strategies and
demonstrates higher-level learning outcomes.
• For the presentation, it requires the good use of new knowledge. The
students can transfer the knowledge in an effective and creative way.
