genre ‘ContemporaryR&B’.The age of the audience would mainly be between14-25 yearolds.
However,thisdoesn’tmeanthatpeopleolderoryoungerthanthisage bracket cannot listentothis
genre itmeansthat majorityof the audience are betweenthese ages.Iwouldalsoexpectthis
audience to be interestedinSoul,Jazz,funk,HipHopand pop music.The reasonwhyit reachesout
to male andfemale audience isbecausethe musicvideosusuallyhas featuresthatattractboth
genders.Some featuresincludememorable songlyrics,female dancers, upbeatandfastpace
instrumental andarapper. AlthoughR&BoriginatedfromAfricantribes thisgenre attractsawide
range audience anditdoesn’tmatterwhatrace, age and genderyouare to be able to listentothis
genre.
I wouldexpectthisaudience toalwaysbe upto date withthe latestsongsof theirfavourite artists,
have mostsocial mediaaccounts(Facebook,Instagram, SnapchatandTwitter) andupto date with
latesttechnology. Furthermore,Iwould imagine themtoalwaysbe outwithfriendsratherthanin
withthe family.Aswell asthat,I wouldthinkthattheyare intotheirdesignerbrandclothingaswell
as the high streetbrands. The target audience of R&Bis becomingwidelymore diverse andasthe
genre expandsthe typesof peopleitreaches outtoalso grows.
