2. The Artist
Shanzy is an emerging Afroswing
artist from Hackney. She can go
from Grime to R&B in a flash
without breaking the listener’s
eardrums. The growth of the
artist from her previous music
group demonstrates her artistic
ability to perform as a solo artist.
Living in East London, Shanzy
has had to overcome similar
problems to her targeted
audience and experienced
negative situations. It is through
this that her passion for music
has made her stronger and more
talented!
3. The narrative
For this project, as a group we
created an original track which we
will produce a music video for. The
non linear narrative is used to show
4. Target audience
Our target audience are young people with an
urban background. This is because they are able
to relate to the lyrics making it more enjoyable for
them to listen to. They are mostly aged around 16
– 24 and will most likely already listen to this
genre of music. She already has videos online and
has built a following so more people are due to
watch the new visuals because the audience are
familiar with her music.
5. Location
We are going to use a range of locations
to shoot the video including London
Docklands. The area has recently been
renovated meaning the visuals will be of
a high scale. Moreover, the Thames runs
near the location allowing us to use a
range of camera shots and techniques.
We got inspiration from “C-Biz -Hating “,
a music video set by a water front.
