Regional Coffee & Tea Coordinator
Operations:
• Strategic vision, critical thinking, financial analysis, category management, goal setting and team building to drive year
over year sales.
• Lead and design all aspects of new store development and renovations for coffee bar and down the aisle coffee/tea
channels.
o Integral in all aspects of design and in-store execution for 18 stores to date.
• Collaborate with architects, designers, and project managers on venue design and build out.
o Asist with remodel phase execution through supervision of re-set teams, construction crew, and overall scope
of projects for coffee bar and down the aisle coffee/tea channels.
• Direct and continuously improve store operations to exceed the service, product and cleanliness expectations of Whole
Foods Market and Allegro Coffee.
• Champion and assist in Team Member and consumer training and education.
o Drive Allegro Coffee global training programs and work with stores to ensure successful execution. Create
regional product focused training tools that assist in empowering stores while driving quality and sales.
o Identify quantitative and qualitative areas of opportunity across coffee/tea channels, and partner with store
management to strategize and execute an action plan that resolves issues.
• Acquisition Task Force Team-Member for training teams on Whole Foods Market vision and values. Oversaw all data
unification and mapping, category re-alignment, margin and sales analysis. Integrated new products in various
channels to drive both sales and margin.
o Green Life Grocery Acquisition 2010
o Wild Oats Acquisition 2008
Financials:
• Set financial targets for Coffee Bar and Down Aisle Coffee/Tea channels.
• Spearhead year over year sales growth.
• Through product dissection and cogs analysis, drive margin.
• Oversee and lead all aspects of coffee/tea channels with over $15 million in annual sales.
• Identify financially challenged programs through detailed P/L review and store visits. Create strategies and focus to
help bring teams into positive financial performance. Continually lead and drive attention on strong financial
performance.
Product:
• Manage all aspects of category management for coffee bars and down the aisle coffee/tea channels.
• Identify key vendors and products that drive innovation, category excitement, and points of differentiation.
• Strategize, design, and lead all aspects of a new products and promotions for 36 stores.
• Brought to market and continue to grow over 30 regional coffee roasters. Partner with vendors on exclusive product
launches and promotional initiatives to drive sales and margin.
• Ongoing analysis of category trends and competitive concerns; including competitor’s pricing and assortment,
consumer trends and how national new items and promotions affect categories on a period and quarterly basis.
• Extensive travels to coffee origin throughout Latin America.
o Lead trips to origin for the purposes of training new TMs, driving brand position, and overall energy in the
coffee category.
