2. King Diomedes and King Eurystheus made a plan to kill Hercules. Diomedes had four mares and they usually ate human flesh. They called Hercules to tame his four mares. Hercules, who was clever, took with him his friend Abderus. Together they saild to Tirida. The next day before the guards killed them Hercules and Abderus went down to the stables and freed the mares.
3. But the horses had iron chains and made a lot of noise and woke up Diomedes. Diomedes and his army went after Hercules and Abderus. Hercules took Abderus and the mares to the shore and went back to fight with Diomedes. Hercules drowned Diomedes and his army. When Hercules returned the mares had eaten Abderus.
4. Hercules was angry, then he gave the mares Diomedes’ body to eat. Before returning home he called this place Abdera in memory of his friend. Hercules took the mares to King Eurystheus and the King killed them. Alicia 3º c
