I. Rationale
In compliance with the Dangerous Drugs Board (DDB) Board Regulation No. 5, Series of 2007
under Section 77 Art IX of RA 9165 otherwise known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of
2002, (Name of School) is acquiescence to propel the program as one of the enjoined sectors of society to
advocate and serve as models to young people to live their lives away from the malevolent effects of drugs.
This DDB Flagship named BARKADAKONTRA DROGA (BKD) is designed as a preventive
education and information program for students to counter the threats and devastating chattels of abusing
drugs. It empowers the individual to be an agent among his peers in advocating healthy and drug-free
lifestyles through involvement in various wholesome activities.
Hence, the school National Drug Education Program (NDEP) and Guidance Office will work
jointly to lead the implantation and then progress it to a “Barkadahan” concept or a collective action
among the students that would brace camaraderie, collaboration, cooperation, solidarity, and connections
in their mutual commitment to attain meaningful life.
1. Objectives
To reinforce people's empowerment in leading a healthy lifestyle that is drug-free and productive this
activity aims to:
1. Establish a Barkada Kontra Droga movement
2. Train the people in advocating a healthy and productive drug-free lifestyle
3. Create a fully drug-free environment in the school. Home, workplace, and community
4. Encourage productive use of time and alternative activities
5. Provide support services towards the adoption of the Barkada concept among families, educators,
professionals, workforces, peer groups and other sectors

This covers the students of the school as the main beneficiaries and members of the program. Activities
that are constrained by the new normal restrictions shall be done remotely and primarily held at school premises
only. Time frame is subject for adjustments as deemed necessary.
III. Budgetary Requirements
Expenditures and variables costs during the activity shall be taken from MOOE subject to the usual accounting
and auditing rules and regulation and availability of funds.

3. IV. Monitoring and Evaluation
To ensure projected results, constant monitoring and coordination with the school head and the members of
the committees of the program shall be done during and after the conduct of the activity. Evaluation form shall
be used to collect feedbacks as a reference for the improvement of the program for the next school years.
