Pursuant to Presidential Proclamation No. 479 dated October 24, 1994, declaring the
month of November of every year as Filipino Values Month (FVM), the Department of
Education joins the country in the celebration of the 2021 National Observance of the
Filipino Values Month (FVM) with the theme, Pagpapaunlad ng Pagkatao,
Pakikipagkapuwa at Pananampalataya: Hamon sa Panahon ng Pandemya. This
year’s theme focuses on how the challenges of the COVID-19 Pandemic led to the
discovery of the meaning of life, strengthen one’s faith that drives understanding of
others, and exercise.
The San Juan Baño elementary celebrate School-based Launching of the Filipino
Values Month to promote Filipino values and culture and create moral awakening and
national consciousness on human values that are unique, genuine and positively
Filipino. The celebration aims to create moral awakening and national consciousness

sustain and revitalize the practice of caring for others, treating others with respect and
dignity, and assisting others to become better persons starting from the family.
This school year is greatly different because of the Pandemic, learning happens mostly
in social media and other online platforms thus programs and activities need to be
aligned on the said setting. With the current situation, the Edukasyon sa Pagpapakato
still seeks the significance of these two celebrations in the consciousness of the
students of SJBES and other part of the educative community.
This school year's activities are still meaningful, simple, and doable, and are not limited
to contests or competitions only but also showcase exhibits, talents, and innovation-
acting out alternative interventions that exemplify positive Filipino Values and welfare
of the students. The month-long celebration will consist of activities such as exhibits
of talents, slogan making, etc. that will highlight Filipino values.
These were the activities done by the SJBES pupils to promote or raise awareness on
the existing programs and activities of the Filipino Values Month.
