5How does your Thriller hold the audience’s attention? Refer to specific
moments, characters, and conventions you have used. Why would they watch
your film? What would appeal to them? Why would they want to carry on
watching after your opening has ended? Write about your audience feedback,
what did they say they enjoyed? You can refer to how you have attracted
attention to it by posting it on Youtube, Twitter, Facebook, etc or how you
created a poster or held a screening. How did you attract/address your
audience?

2. I believe my thriller holds the audience's attention by causing it to relate to specific types of audiences. For our thriller
opening, there are two main audiences that we are targeting which are the younger, urban working class audience and
the middle aged, middle class audience. In our thriller, two of our characters who are both of a working class are wearing
dark hooded jackets which are a major trend within street fashion at the moment that a lot of working class people wear
so by allowing our characters to wear this, their characters are seen to be more relatable towards our younger and more
urban working class audience. Also, another character in our thriller opening who is a businessman is wearing a cream
coloured trench coat along with formal trousers and smart suede loafers. These can be seen as trends within fashion
that is worn by the middle class that show the class which middle aged middle class people would like to keep by
wearing this so through this, it can help that part of our target audience be able to relate to what they see within our
thriller.
3. We attracted our audience through the use of social media on websites such as Twitter, Snapchat and
Instagram. This is because the younger, urban working class are widely known for being able to use
social media to connect with people through various kinds of technological devices such as game
consoles, phones and tablets which they are familiar with, teenagers spend approximately 9 hours per
day on social media so I and the rest of my team saw this as a way to create a breakthrough within
advertisement as it does not cost money to do. Also, it is one of the best forms of media at this present
time because of how many people use this form of media. Roughly 2.6 billion people in the world
currently use a form of social media and I believe this is a very important fact as it shows how much of
a wide scaled platform it really is. We also asked part of our audience to join a private screening for our
product to create a buzz and allow them to feel special and contributing towards the film's production
