3. Trace the Document in Flash.
Insert Layer 2.
Then Trace.
Lock Layer 1

4. Save as “Mouth Reference”

5. • Open Character.
Remove the mouth of the character.
Insert New Layer.
Rename the layer
as “mouth” layer.

6. •Hello. My name is ______.
•He-ll-o (close) Ma-ay (close) ne-
eym (close) is (close)
For Example
•Hello. My name is Nixde.
•He-ll-o (close) Ma-ay (close) ne-

•Nix-de.

7. On Frame 1,
copy “B,M,P”
mouth in your
mouth
reference then
paste it on
“mouth” layer.

8. Insert
Keyframe in
Frame 10.
Apply some
guidelines.

9. Press
Delete.
GO to
Mouth
Reference
and Copy
“Ee” mouth

10. Paste (CTRL V)
Fix and arrange
the mouth.
Apply horizontal
guideline to the
mouth.

11. Press F6.
Press Delete.

12. GO to
Mouth
Reference
and Copy
“L” mouth

13. Paste (CTRL V)
Fix and arrange
the mouth.
Press F6.
Press Delete.

14. GO to
Mouth
Reference
and Copy
“O” mouth

15. Paste (CTRL V)
Fix and arrange
the mouth.

16. Press F6.
Press Delete.

17. Go to frame 1.
Press CTRL C.

18. Go back to the
last frame you
have done then
right click on the
drawing. Select
“Paste in Place”.

19. Insert a new
layer, named as
“Text” layer.

20. Click on Frame
10 then press F6
to insert
keyframe.

21. Use Text Tool (T) to insert
Text. Type in the word
“Hello”

22. Go to Frame 20.
Press F6.
Then press “Delete”.

23. In Mouth Layer, go to Layer
20 then press F6.
Press Delete and apply the
following using the same
procedures…(next slide)

Paste. F6. Delete

25. Y
Paste. F6. Delete

26. CLOSED
Copy From Frame 1,
Paste In Place. Delete

27. NE
Paste. F6. Delete

28. M
Copy From Frame 1,
Paste In Place. Delete

29. IS
Paste. F6. Delete

30. CLOSED
Copy From Frame 1,
Paste In Place. Delete

31. Continue
using the
name of
your
character.

32. End with
closed
mouth.
F6. Delete

33. Apply the
text in
Text Layer
after doing
all the
mouth
animation.

34. HELLO MY NAME IS NIXDE.
