March 19,2012 Steve Jobs Everyone is unique on this plant. We share the air and shine to live but
we all do things in our own ways. Some people don't do anything with their lives and others do
great things with theirs. One particular person that has done great things with his life is Steve Jobs.
Steve Jobs wasn't some original person, he was a creative, crazy, rebellion, and over all a life
changing person that wanted to make a difference in the world. On February 24, 1955, a very
intelligent boy was born in San Francisco California. His biological mother Joanna Simpson and his
biological father Abdulfattah John Gandhi had him out of wedlock in the puritan America of the

Microsoft and Apple were enemies and they were not letting anyone take anything form either of
them. Apple and Microsoft agree that they would release Mac versions Microsoft office in exchange
of Internet Explorer the default web on the Mac. After a few month, Steve had announced that they
were the hardest in the industry in his life. Since Steve Jobs was trying to fix the Apple company,
critics started to believe in him and his products. He introduced the iMac that was took over the PC
industry and started to produce more and more Apple products. In January 2000, Jobs made
software that would be the start to something amazing. Apple started to grow with more programs
such as iMovie, iDVD, iTunes, and iPhoto. This was the digital hub strategy idea that Jobs had to
better the company. He decided to use Apple's unique knowledge of making both powerful and
attractive machines, but they would also run software. This softwares were launched in the years
1999–2002.In many ways, the juggernaut that Apple became was shaped by very smart decisions
that Jobs and his executive team took in et crucial in the 2000–2001 timeframe. In 2000, Jobs
started to realized that digital music file–sharing service such as Napster we starting to become
popular. All the young people were spending their time downloading music and listening to MP3
music files. That's when iTunes was born out if that realization. In March 2001

Steve Jobs Rule
A rule to live by. Well what is a rule to live by? This is the rule that suits you the best. It motivates
you everyday, and when you are in a tough situation, you can call on it to help you. The rule that I
use to live by is that when life gives you a problem, make the most out of it. This is very important
to me. Life is never a walk in the park. There are always problems that everyone face, whether they
are personal, or global. Many problems such as depression, hunger, or even disability hurt people
every day. Many people let these problems take over their lives. But, when I face a problem, I
remember this fundamental, and make the best out of the situation. Throughout my life, this moral
has been very important to me.
Without this rule, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Even some of the richest most famous people face problems that they have to overcome. Look at
Steve Jobs, who faced many problems in his life. One of his problems was that when he was the co–
founder of Apple, they fired him at age 30. In a speech that Steve jobs recited at Stanford, he said
"What had been the focus of my entire life was gone, and it was devastating," (Jobs page 3). He
knew this was his problem, because he did not know what to do next. Steve Jobs could have quit
technology forever, but he came back and made a new company of his own. He made the most out
of his problem. In his speech he said "I started a company named Pixar, and fell in love with an
amazing woman who would become my wife. Pixar went on to create the world's first computer
animated feature film, Toy Story, and is now the most successful animation studio in the world,"
(Jobs page 3). This speech is a key example of this rule to live by. This rule is important, because
even when you are facing a problem, the outcome could still be successful. This is a real life
example of this rule to live by that everyone can relate to. This can tie into fear of failure. Being
fired from Apple rattled Steve Jobs. But when we face a problem I think we all can say it takes us by
surprise. This guideline can help us learn how to problem solve and make the most out of the

Mystique Of Steve Jobs
Steve Jobs was broadly known for being the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Apple Company,
and was frequently thought to be a virtuoso and a genuine pioneer. It is the general thought that he
was a phenomenal individual who was monstrously appreciated by devotees of Apple items and
numerous other individuals, whose lives were by one means or another impacted by his items. In
addition, Steve Jobs had mystique that affected his initiative style and brought about his
conspicuous achievement. In this way, Steve Jobs was accepted to have an appealing administration
style, as indicated by Weber's meaning of alluring initiative, in which he expresses that a magnetic
pioneer more often than not displays a particular conduct in having a dream, being charming,
mentally invigorating individuals who tail him, and moving and propelling individuals to go past the
breaking points of desires. Furthermore, magnetic pioneers continually search for change and
change, hence, making advancement, and affecting advancement. All the previously mentioned
qualities identify with Steve Jobs' identity and initiative style. In this way, one can consider Steve
Jobs a genuine magnetic pioneer and a standout amongst the most persuasive pioneers of the 21st
century. Steve Jobs has dependably been viewed as an irregularity in administration; his initiative
style was a comment or to reprimand, yet unquestionably not to reproduce. He didn't fit into the
systems of business reading material: there was

In this ever growing, rapid developing world as we can see today, there are many different
successful leaders. As we know it, leaders are humans just like everyone else. How did they manage
to stand out from the crowd? What did they do to achieve great success for an organization? As of
all the successful leaders in the world, Steve Jobs is one of the successful leaders that managed to
achieve great success for an organization. Therefore, Steve Jobs is the leader that I personally
admire and would like to emulate.
According to Gallo (2011, p. 4), Jobs was named the best–performing CEO in the world by the
Harvard Business Review. Jobs was given the title as he delivered "a whopping 3188% industry
adjusted return (34% compounded ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Hence, these are the seven principles and the core principles that Jobs lived by to be a successful
and inspiring leader. I personally admire Steve Jobs as he is one that does things in a very
systematic manner which lead him to his success. Talking about success, in a YouTube video by
Jandafrique (2009), it shows Jobs himself explaining the rules of success. In the video, Jobs quoted,
"You got to love it, you got to have passion". I strongly agree to what Steve Jobs had said because to
succeed, you need to be passionate about what you are doing. A given task would not be a burden to
one if that particular one loved their job. They would enjoy doing every bit of it if they love doing it,
therefore making everything simpler and faster to accomplish. Other than that,"No matter how smart
you are, you need a team of great people" (Jobs cited in Jandafrique 2009) was also quoted by Jobs.
One cannot open an organization and work alone to be successful. It would almost be impossible.
As quoted by John Heywood, "many hands make light work." Therefore, this shows the ways and
traits in which made Jobs an inspiring man.
One of the leadership traits that Jobs go by is his very own saying, "stay hungry, stay foolish" (Jash,
n.d.). The meanings in which I interpreted from the quote, is that one should always be looking out
and have never ending questions to a

Monster Steve Analysis
George Bernard once said, "Progress is impossible without change, and those who cannot change
their minds cannot change anything". In Monster Steve shows the progress of changing. Although,
he did not change his mind set right away. Steve had to go through the prison system, and then a
depressed state of mind, in order to become a mature young man. Thus, throughout the course of the
text Steve begins as a hopeful teenager and develops into a mature young man. Before Steve get in
trouble with the law, he was a great hard working student. Mr. Sawicki, Steve's teacher, was at the
stand. When asked if he can give his opinion on Steve's work shown in his class, Mr. Sawicki
answers, but add some. "I [Mr. Sawicki] think he is an outstanding young ... Show more content on

As Steve was waiting to be found guilty, or not guilty, he was freaking out, as would any of us
would be. James King was the other man on trial, he was found guilty. James King was first to go,
so that left Steve even more anxieux finding out that James was found guilty. "He (Steve) has been
found not guilty. STEVE turns toward O'BRIEN, but she stiffens and turns to pick up her papers
from the table before them" (Myers 276). Steve is now showing emotion again. "He has been found
not guilty", is the turning point of his mood. He now is back to showing emotion again. He went
from being depressed, to one of the happiest people in the world. Not only is Steve now showing
emotion, he is showing maturity. After trial, he starting to making films for the movie he wanted to
make about his trial. He mainly filmed himself. He could tell his father thought of him differently
for associating with men like James King. So Steve filmed himself to figure out who he was. "My
father is no longer sure of who I [Steve] am. He doesn't understand me even knowing people like
King... He wonders what else he doesn't know. That is why I take the films of myself. I want to
know who I am" (Myers 281). Steve does not know he is. Steve became a more shy, and solo. He
sat in his room a lot, but only so he can know who he truly is. Steve decided that it was time he
changed, the only way he can change, is to figure

Steve Jobs Motivation
"Your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do
what you believe is great work. And the only way to do great work is to love what you do. If you
haven't found it yet, keep looking." (Jobs). A person's life revolves around their ambitions as Steve
Jobs revealed in a 2005 commemorative address at Stanford University. Jobs was not a man who
took his work lightly. In fact, he lived his life so that he impacted the whole world. Steve Jobs'
pursuit of doing great work and loving what he did can be traced through his early life, his time as a
business executive, and even though his legacy, where his ideas live perpetually.
Steve Jobs' life could be described with three words– "Abandoned. Chosen. Special" (Isaacson 27).
First, he was abandoned because his biological parents gave him up for adoption shortly after his
birth. His birth mom, Joanne, demanded that he be adopted by scholarly people of high caliber, yet
she settled for a loving but lower class couple. So it was that Steve was adopted by Paul and Clara
Jobs (Moisescot). Twenty years passed, and it seemed like all Steve would be was abandoned and
chosen. In school, Steve was unmotivated and never completed his homework. One of his fourth–
grade teacher's saw this, so she bribed him with money to get him to accomplish his work. This
method of motivation proved to be effective in obtaining Steve's attention (Hunter 7). Steve
maintained this motivation in his

Specific Purpose: To inform the general public of the reasons why consumers predominantly prefer

Q: Steve Jobs, the founder of Apple, was asked to come back as Chief Executive in 1997 when the
business was making a loss. Jobs was appointed to provide a clearer vision for the business and to
improve its profitability. How easy is it for a Chief Executive to change a struggling business into a
more successful one? Justify your answer with reference to Apple and/or other organisations you
know.
A: There have been many different companies in the past which have suffered from internal /
external problems. However they have also recovered because of critical decision–making and also
because of strong leaders who have also the skill of being potential visionaries and mavericks. Steve
jobs had been replaced by John sculley (who was ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Howard Schultz and Steve jobs would have taken an authoritarian approach towards the situation
their company was in. Their experience and strong–minded will would have led them into taking
those essential decisions.
Any large company should have contingency plans, which will enable them to recover from a
sudden crisis whether internal or external. The chief executive should have a vision initially created
which enables the managers to use and employ in the business. They should be responsible for
planning, organising, coordinating and monitoring. However with any firm, a crisis may occur and
cause the overall downfall of the company. Some adversities cannot be foreseen e.g. external
changes such as social taste, economic negative growth and environmental concerns. It's relatively
easier to deal with internal problems rather than external. Another example of a leader who changed
a company's future is Sir Terry Leahy – Former CEO of Tesco supermarkets. His company struggled
previously because there was heavy competition from the 2 main oligopolies – Marks and Spencers
and Sainsburys. Under his leadership, Sales quadrupled & Profit levels increased by 6 times to 3.2
Billion in 2010. He had 10 principles which made him a great leader however all his main principles
relied upon: goals and corporate objectives for the company, employee well–being and customer
satisfaction.

Steve Jobs Thesis
Let's face it, many people in today's world have used or owned an apple product. Whether it's an
imac computer, an apple watch, or an iphone, each apple device can help us in many ways. Who do
we have to thank for this modern technology? We can thank Steve Jobs. Born on February 24, 1955
in San Francisco, California, Jobs was out up for adoption. Little did his biological parents know
that their son would one day change the world. Jobs was adopted by Clara and Paul Jobs, and they
lived in an area of California called Silicon Valley. Growing up, Steve and his father would work on
electronics in their family garage. They'd take machines apart to see what was inside and how they
worked. In school, Steve was very smart, but he didn't want to study. One teacher even bribed him

is showing that he achieved his goal to earn money and use that money to go to college and learn

which created an internal desire and almost frenzied drive to further educate himself in the world of

Steve Jobs was born on February 24, 1955 in Los Altos, California. He is Co–founder, Chairman,
and former CEO of Apple Inc. Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak high school friends and both college
dropouts joined together to start Apple Computer in 1976. They are credited for inventing the first
computer for home use. They made it possible for people to have a computer anywhere in their
home, or on an office desk, where previously a single computer took up a whole room. There
creation changed the world. However Steve Jobs didn't change what was in the products but how
they looked, functioned, and what they meant.

He didn't only pay attention to what was in his products but what they looked like and what they
meant to his buyers. That is how he changed the world, not with what his products have in them, all
of the components of his products are the same as any other out there, but with how they look and
what they make easier in our lives. No one goes out and says oh I'm going to buy a MP3 player
that's only 29.00$, they're going to want to buy Apples iPod even if they have the same software.
When you buy an apple product you're not just buying the actual product your buying what the
product represents. Job's ability to take what he wants in a phone, portable music device, and
computer and make it real and wanted by the masses is a gift.
In conclusion, Steve Jobs changed the world not only with the invention of the Apple II in 76'which
was in collaboration with Steve Wozniak, but with how he thinks. When Job's thinks of the next big

Steve Jobs Abuse
Steve Jobs was an autocratic leader. He used abuse and threats to motivate Apple employees. Jobs
also made the larger decisions early in the company, by influencing others opinions. As well as
using his own personal vision for Apple products.
First of all Jobs abused employees to encourage them. He would yell obscenities that downgraded
his workers so that they would push themselves further. Debi Coleman, an Apple employee, was
often yelled at by Jobs during board meetings. His words were clear, she wasn't good enough and
neither was her work. Although the criticism was activating it still left the feeling of fear in his
workers, which many autocratic leaders leave with their people so that they follow orders.
Secondly, because, early in Apple history, Jobs would make the larger decisions and use
manipulation to have people agree with him. He had a way of using his charisma to make his own
way of thinking sound better than the opposition's, so that they would agree with him. For instance,
he convinced co–founder Steve Wozniak to start selling what was the first edition ... Show more

This resulted in engineers and other employees not having any say in the product they were
creating. For example, the engineers who created the first Macintosh had the inside layout so that it
gave the computer the best way to function. Jobs however, saw the inside of the Mac and ordered
that it be laid out in a more pleasing appearance. This request was thought ridiculous by the
engineers because no one was even going to see the inside of the computers anyways, but Jobs made
them redo the inside for his own aesthetic. This shows that he didn't allow a lot of freedom in Apple
and instead hovered over every detail of the Apple products, which didn't let any of the employees
have a relevant opinion on the product. That is the same as any autocratic leader making sure
everyone obeys them and doesn't have a

Steve Jobs always followed a philosophy of proving himself before taking any new responsibility.
Once the same was done then only he takes on the new position and then make new teams. It
enables good understanding among the team members and thus fostering good results (Adair J,

Steve

Steve Jobs: A Inspiring and Influential Businessman
The iPod, iPad, iMac, and iPhone all share one thing in common other than their elegant design.
Their creator, Steve Jobs, oversaw the creation of many of these "extremely personal" and
innovative electronics. He thought of technology and devices we did not know we needed or wanted
because we never knew they existed. Although he was often called crazy, but his different ideas and
rebelling personality drove him beyond what many expected of him as he "built" Apple and other
companies. Steve Jobs is most admired for his co–founding of Apple and NeXT, as well as his
involvement in Pixar.

company he would become involved in, and Jobs bought Pixar Animation Studios from George

and most of all Pixar's "software amazed him". Most importantly, he took Pixar in a different

The Founder Of Steve Jobs

innovative and intelligent thinker. He tested so well in school that he was proposed to skip ahead,
but his parent declined. While Steve attended Homestead High School, he met Steve Wozniak.
Wozniak eventually became Jobs future partner and co–founder of Apple. In a 2007 interview with
PC World, Steve Wozniak told of how he and Jobs worked together so well: "We both loved
electronics and the way we used to hook up digital chips," Wozniak said. "Very few people,
especially back then, had any idea what chips were, how they worked and what they could do. I had
designed many computers, so I was way ahead of him in electronics and computer design, but we
still had common interests. We both had pretty much sort of an independent attitude about things in
the world..." They went on to be one of the most innovative partners of our time. Upon graduation,
Jobs attended Reed College in Portland Oregon. Realizing it wasn't for him, he dropped out of

The Speech Of Steve Jobs
Speeches come in all shapes and sizes, some fantastic, some horrible, some motivational and some
inspirational. The one detail I can tell you there is always a few that will linger and stick around in
your head. These speeches go through history as being remembered and studied for decades. A few
that come to mind happen to be "I have a dream" by Martin Luther King, "Never give up...Don't
ever give up," by Jimmy Valvano and "You've got to find what you love," by Steve Jobs. Each and
every one of these speeches was written by men who were challenged to make difficult decisions in
their lives which would inadvertently affect their future in one way or another.
The most current speech of the four is Steve Jobs' "You've got to find what you love." His speech
targets college graduates of the 21st century. After I read Steve Jobs' speech, I understood the power
of his words. At the beginning, he stated that he, unlike the graduates, never graduated from college;
he dropped out after 6 months. Additionally, he reveals information about himself throughout the
speech, such as being adopted, and the fascination for calligraphy. At the age of 20, Steve and a
friend created Apple, a computer company in his parent 's garage, later to be fired from his own
company. But of course that did not stop Jobs; he ended up creating two more companies called
NeXT and Pixar. Presumably, the scariest time in his life started when he was diagnosed with an

The Success Of Steve Jobs
Over the course of 7 years, over 500 million iPhones have been sold worldwide. 122 million Macs
have been sold throughout 28 years, and up until September 2012, 350 million iPods have been
sold. The numbers are immense and still growing, and there are reasons that explain them. To
sustain a company, one that has sold well over 1 billion self–produced units (and counting) (up until
today), for about 21 years total, takes much prudence, determination, and most importantly,
leadership. Steve Jobs, co–founder of Apple, Inc., had all three of those traits, and they were always
used for the better in his company. Jobs got the company back up on its feet after rough stock
market shares and low sales caused by competing companies, and led it to success with increasingly
innovative products that rapidly sold nationally at first, then soon internationally. The new ideas that
computers such as the Macintosh put forward into the computer world has set the standard for
computers up until the current day. Steve Jobs' innovation and leadership led the company of Apple
to create renowned and life–changing products that essentially made the lives of their users easier
and changed the world of technology forever.

Mountain View, CA. Steve wasn't happy at school in Mountain View so the family moved to Palo
Alto, CA. Steve attended Homestead High School. His electronics teacher recalled that he was
"something of a loner" and "always had a different way of looking at things". [www.apple–
history.com] After school, Steve attended lectures at Hewlett Packard Electronics firm in Palo Alto,
CA. There he was hired as a summer employee. Another employee at Hewlett–Packard was Steven
Wozniak, a recent drop–out from the University of California, Berkeley. "Woz" was an engineering
whiz with a passion for inventing electric gadgets. He worked on perfecting an ... Show more

They marketed it at a price of $666.00 in 1976. The Apple I was the first computer with one board.
It had a built in video interface, on board ROM–which told the machine hold to load programs from
an external source. Jobs and Wozniak managed $774,000.00 in sales from the Apple I. Soon after
they started working on the Apple II. The Apple II supported built in circuitry allowing it to connect
to a color video monitor. Jobs encouraged programmers to write code and the result was some
16,000 programs for the Apple II. In 1977, Apple hired the most successful PR men in Silicon
Valley, Regis McKenna and Nolan Bushnell. They were both very good marketers and public
relation men on Apple's board of directors. In the first seven years of Apple's existence, Steve Jobs
had created a strong productive company with growth rates of over 150% a year. Then IBM muscled
its way into the PC market. In two years, IBM PC's had taken over as the top selling computer in the
PC industry. Steven countered the PC movement by introducing the Macintosh. The "Mac" was
radical, it was all driven by a mouse and had a graphical display. When the machine was introduced
during the Super Bowl in 1984, Steve Jobs described it as kind of like watching a gladiator going to
the arena and saying "here it is". [Scott 1991, page 71]. The commercial had a young woman athlete
going into the arena chased by faceless

Analysis Of Steve Biko And Steve Biko
1. Introduction
Steve Biko's political thought draws a significant amount of its ideas from Franz Fanon's political
thought. In fact, Steve Biko – in his only publicised works – often quotes Fanon and his ideas. Both
Biko and Fanon share similarities in their political thought. Such similarity is seen in their belief on
how political emancipation should be achieved. Biko, in similar respect to Fanon, is of the opinion
that mental emancipation is a prerequisite to being emancipated politically. Therefore psychology
and the psyche play a very significant role in the political thought of Steve Biko and Franz Fanon.
This essay will seek to explain, in light of Biko's political thought, how mental emancipation is a
precondition to political emancipation. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Referring again to his book, Biko makes reference to Fanon's writings by saying that the apartheid
government emptied black people's brain of 'all form and content', merely reducing the black man to
'a shell, a shadow of a man' (Biko, 1978: 31). Psychological oppression was very significant to the
apartheid government because 'the most potent weapon in the hands of the oppressor is the mind of
the oppressed' (Biko, 1978: 74). This refers to what Hook (2004: 85) describes as 'psychopolitics'.
Psychopolitics refers to the 'critical awareness of the role that political factors play within the
domain of the psychological' (Hook, 2004: 85). The apartheid government manipulated the minds of
black South Africans in such a way that they viewed themselves as incomplete and insignificant,
especially in relation to the white man. This made the black man easier to oppress politically,
economically and socially.
One could argue that mental oppression or psychological oppression is a precondition to political
oppression, particularly the oppression that occurred in apartheid South Africa. If one accepts such
an idea, one can begin to see the importance of Steve Biko's Black Consciousness Movement. It is
through consciousness that freedom can be achieved by the black man. Mental emancipation is the
necessity for political emancipation. Black Consciousness is what is needed

Steve Jobs Accomplishments
Can you imagine what it would be like to live in a world without the ability to own a personal
computer, an iPod, iPad, iPhone or iTunes? Thirty–nine years ago none of these devices were
available for purchase because they had not yet been invented. If it wasn't for Steve Jobs these
devices as we know them today may not exist. Because of Steve Jobs people all around the world
now own or have access to one if not all of these devices. Steve Jobs died on Oct. 5, 2011 at age 56
from pancreatic cancer (Gambino, 2011).
In my opinion Steve Jobs is a famous historical figure because of how he helped revolutionize the
tech industry. The history on wWhether these devices are to the benefit of or to the detriment of
society is still being debated ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Working from Job's garage, the two men designed, developed, built, marketed and sold the first ever
personal computers the Apple I.
"1976 Jobs pre–sold 50 of the as–yet unmade computers to a local store and managed to buy the
components on credit solely on the strength of the order enabling them to build the Apple I without
any funding at all" (Puri, n.d.). It was later in 1977 that the Apple II was released. "This computer
was the cutting edge of technology at the time, introducing the first operating system with color
graphics" (Richardson, n.d.). In the late 1980s the Apple Macintosh computer was released. Allison
considers the Macintosh to be the most significant. "The Macintosh really introduced the graphic–
user interface to the world" (Gambino, 2011).
In January 9, 2001 Apple introduced iTunes, and later that year on Oct 21 2001, Apple introduced
the first iPod. (Apple Introduces iTunes, n.d.)Steve Jobs announcement about the release of the iPod
would be the demise of the industry leader in personal music storage devices the Sony Walkman
(Walters, 2011). The IPod provided "consumers a device with instant purchasing power and the
ability to listen to high quality audio files on the go" (Walters,

In a speech that Steve jobs recited at Stanford, he said "What had been the focus of my entire life was gone, and it was devastating," (Jobs page 3). He knew this was his problem, because he did not know what to do next. Steve Jobs could have quit technology forever, but he came back and made a new company of his own. He made the most out of his problem. In his speech he said "I started a company named Pixar, and fell in love with an amazing woman who would become my wife. Pixar went on to create the world's first computer animated feature film, Toy Story, and is now the most successful animation studio in the world," (Jobs page 3). This speech is a key example of this rule to live by. This rule is important, because even when you are facing a problem, the outcome could still be successful. This is a real life example of this rule to live by that everyone can relate to. This can tie into fear of failure. Being fired from Apple rattled Steve Jobs. • 5. Mystique Of Steve Jobs Steve Jobs was broadly known for being the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Apple Company, and was frequently thought to be a virtuoso and a genuine pioneer. It is the general thought that he was a phenomenal individual who was monstrously appreciated by devotees of Apple items and numerous other individuals, whose lives were by one means or another impacted by his items. In addition, Steve Jobs had mystique that affected his initiative style and brought about his conspicuous achievement. In this way, Steve Jobs was accepted to have an appealing administration style, as indicated by Weber's meaning of alluring initiative, in which he expresses that a magnetic pioneer more often than not displays a particular conduct in having a dream, being charming, mentally invigorating individuals who tail him, and moving and propelling individuals to go past the breaking points of desires. Furthermore, magnetic pioneers continually search for change and change, hence, making advancement, and affecting advancement. All the previously mentioned qualities identify with Steve Jobs' identity and initiative style. In this way, one can consider Steve Jobs a genuine magnetic pioneer and a standout amongst the most persuasive pioneers of the 21st century. How did they manage to stand out from the crowd? What did they do to achieve great success for an organization? As of all the successful leaders in the world, Steve Jobs is one of the successful leaders that managed to achieve great success for an organization. Therefore, Steve Jobs is the leader that I personally admire and would like to emulate. Hence, these are the seven principles and the core principles that Jobs lived by to be a successful and inspiring leader. I personally admire Steve Jobs as he is one that does things in a very systematic manner which lead him to his success. Talking about success, in a YouTube video by Jandafrique (2009), it shows Jobs himself explaining the rules of success. In the video, Jobs quoted, "You got to love it, you got to have passion". I strongly agree to what Steve Jobs had said because to succeed, you need to be passionate about what you are doing. A given task would not be a burden to one if that particular one loved their job. They would enjoy doing every bit of it if they love doing it, therefore making everything simpler and faster to accomplish. Other than that,"No matter how smart you are, you need a team of great people" (Jobs cited in Jandafrique 2009) was also quoted by Jobs. One cannot open an organization and work alone to be successful. It would almost be impossible. As quoted by John Heywood, "many hands make light work." Therefore, this shows the ways and traits in which made Jobs an inspiring man. One of the leadership traits that Jobs go by is his very own saying, "stay hungry, stay foolish" (Jash, n.d.). The meanings in which I interpreted from the quote, is that one should always be looking out and have never ending questions to a ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

And the only way to do great work is to love what you do. If you haven't found it yet, keep looking." (Jobs). A person's life revolves around their ambitions as Steve Jobs revealed in a 2005 commemorative address at Stanford University. Jobs was not a man who took his work lightly. In fact, he lived his life so that he impacted the whole world. Steve Jobs' pursuit of doing great work and loving what he did can be traced through his early life, his time as a business executive, and even though his legacy, where his ideas live perpetually. Steve Jobs' life could be described with three words– "Abandoned. Chosen. Special" (Isaacson 27). First, he was abandoned because his biological parents gave him up for adoption shortly after his birth. His birth mom, Joanne, demanded that he be adopted by scholarly people of high caliber, yet she settled for a loving but lower class couple. So it was that Steve was adopted by Paul and Clara Jobs (Moisescot). Twenty years passed, and it seemed like all Steve would be was abandoned and chosen. In school, Steve was unmotivated and never completed his homework. One of his fourth– grade teacher's saw this, so she bribed him with money to get him to accomplish his work. This method of motivation proved to be effective in obtaining Steve's attention (Hunter 7). Steve maintained this motivation in his ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Justify your answer with reference to Apple and/or other organisations you know. A: There have been many different companies in the past which have suffered from internal / external problems. Their experience and strong–minded will would have led them into taking those essential decisions. Any large company should have contingency plans, which will enable them to recover from a sudden crisis whether internal or external. The chief executive should have a vision initially created which enables the managers to use and employ in the business. They should be responsible for planning, organising, coordinating and monitoring. However with any firm, a crisis may occur and cause the overall downfall of the company. Some adversities cannot be foreseen e.g. external changes such as social taste, economic negative growth and environmental concerns. It's relatively easier to deal with internal problems rather than external. Another example of a leader who changed a company's future is Sir Terry Leahy – Former CEO of Tesco supermarkets. • 25. Steve Jobs Abuse Steve Jobs was an autocratic leader. He used abuse and threats to motivate Apple employees. Jobs also made the larger decisions early in the company, by influencing others opinions. As well as using his own personal vision for Apple products. First of all Jobs abused employees to encourage them. He would yell obscenities that downgraded his workers so that they would push themselves further. Debi Coleman, an Apple employee, was often yelled at by Jobs during board meetings. His words were clear, she wasn't good enough and neither was her work. Although the criticism was activating it still left the feeling of fear in his workers, which many autocratic leaders leave with their people so that they follow orders. Secondly, because, early in Apple history, Jobs would make the larger decisions and use manipulation to have people agree with him. This request was thought ridiculous by the engineers because no one was even going to see the inside of the computers anyways, but Jobs made them redo the inside for his own aesthetic. This shows that he didn't allow a lot of freedom in Apple and instead hovered over every detail of the Apple products, which didn't let any of the employees have a relevant opinion on the product.

The Success Of Steve Jobs Over the course of 7 years, over 500 million iPhones have been sold worldwide. 122 million Macs have been sold throughout 28 years, and up until September 2012, 350 million iPods have been sold. The numbers are immense and still growing, and there are reasons that explain them. To sustain a company, one that has sold well over 1 billion self–produced units (and counting) (up until today), for about 21 years total, takes much prudence, determination, and most importantly, leadership. Steve Jobs, co–founder of Apple, Inc., had all three of those traits, and they were always used for the better in his company. Jobs got the company back up on its feet after rough stock market shares and low sales caused by competing companies, and led it to success with increasingly innovative products that rapidly sold nationally at first, then soon internationally. • 39. Analysis Of Steve Biko And Steve Biko 1. Introduction Steve Biko's political thought draws a significant amount of its ideas from Franz Fanon's political thought. In fact, Steve Biko – in his only publicised works – often quotes Fanon and his ideas. Both Biko and Fanon share similarities in their political thought. Such similarity is seen in their belief on how political emancipation should be achieved. Biko, in similar respect to Fanon, is of the opinion that mental emancipation is a prerequisite to being emancipated politically. Therefore psychology and the psyche play a very significant role in the political thought of Steve Biko and Franz Fanon. This essay will seek to explain, in light of Biko's political thought, how mental emancipation is a precondition to political emancipation. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Referring again to his book, Biko makes reference to Fanon's writings by saying that the apartheid government emptied black people's brain of 'all form and content', merely reducing the black man to 'a shell, a shadow of a man' (Biko, 1978: 31). Psychological oppression was very significant to the apartheid government because 'the most potent weapon in the hands of the oppressor is the mind of the oppressed' (Biko, 1978: 74). This refers to what Hook (2004: 85) describes as 'psychopolitics'. Psychopolitics refers to the 'critical awareness of the role that political factors play within the domain of the psychological' (Hook, 2004: 85). The apartheid government manipulated the minds of black South Africans in such a way that they viewed themselves as incomplete and insignificant, especially in relation to the white man. This made the black man easier to oppress politically, economically and socially. One could argue that mental oppression or psychological oppression is a precondition to political oppression, particularly the oppression that occurred in apartheid South Africa. If one accepts such an idea, one can begin to see the importance of Steve Biko's Black Consciousness Movement. It is through consciousness that freedom can be achieved by the black man. Mental emancipation is the necessity for political emancipation. Black Consciousness is what is needed ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
