Long- term memory STSS – receives info and holds for short time prior to processing. Unimportant information is filtered out STM – keeps info for 20 – 30 secs, carries 5 – 9 pieces of info to help with decision making. Then possibly passed to LTS LTM is limitless & not forgotten
