2. The First Task
Before the music magazine project, we were set a task to create a school magazine front cover
and content page. This was a good way to practice my skills and learn new ones. It was helpful
to prepare myself to make a music magazine. We didn’t have as much time like this project so
we had to quickly take photos for the magazine and put it all together. The target audience was
set between 11 to 18 year olds and out purpose was to inform students updates about the
school.
3. Development
Overall I was very happy with the front cover, content page and article. From my target
audience’s feedback, I did learn that there was a few corrections that they would
wanted to see. From the school magazine task, I did learn from this to make a
professional looking magazine and following the conventions of presenting one. I did
have style models to influence me into making my magazine.
4. The Final Project
My final product hopefully shows the things I have learnt from my school magazine
project. The layout of each page, the use of different text, the colour scheme and most
of all the use of images; models. When it came to taking photos of the school
magazine, my intention was to take photos of the school to show off what it has but I
should have had the use of models, exception of a group picture of people on a table
although the point stands. My skills on Photoshop have improved through time and
noticed that my editing skills with photos of my models have improved well and
appear more professional. InDesign, I used this to create my article and allowed me to
learn and make a more presentable page to my target audience.
5. From School Magazine to my Music Magazine
From September, I can see that my skills have developed. My school magazine to me is a good
start to make my music magazine; I did find it looking professional in some ways like my content
page and the use of images. From comparison, it’s noticeable that I’ve reached the conventions
also the development of my use on Photoshop and improving my overall content.
