1. Evaluation Question 6
What have you learnt about
technologies from the process of
constructing this project?
2. Technology used:
• Youtube
• Adobe Premiere 2.0
• Sony DV Video Camera
• Kizoa
• Prezi
• iMovie
3. How it benefited our product
• Overall, I feel that throughout the period of
my Media AS Level coursework, technology
has been one of the main essentials into
creating an efficient and engaging thriller
opening sequence and other elements such as
my blog.
4. Adobe Premiere Pro
Adobe Premiere has been the key to
creating our final film. By allowing us to
cut the footage we filmed, we managed
to edit, manipulate and add certain
elements to our thriller that would have
been impossible to achieve without the
software.
Editing tools such as the razor tool were
the most useful in cutting the raw footage
We were given access to obtained from filming. From this we were
the software via the able to create basic shots such as match
media suites at our on action and shot-reverse-shot and also
school. As a result of convey a clear sense of continuity. This
this, all editing was done also created a great effect of fluency.
at school.
Adding transitions such as ‘Cut to black’
or ‘Cross dissolve’ helped the sequence
flow.
5. iMovie 11
• I used this software to make two evaluation
questions. (1 & 4)
This could have been used to
make the actual end product
itself, but due to quotas from
teachers- Adobe Premiere was
required.
When taking features into
account, there is little
difference, but iMovie is more
up to date than Adobe (for
example- HD can be used, and
editing is more simplistic)
6. Youtube
• Youtube was a very useful resource, helping
me with title analysis of other sequences and
uploading videos such as the sequence itself
onto the internet.
• We used Youtube, for our audience showing
of Adoption.
• It is an extremely resourceful site and I will
definitely continue using it in the future.
