Teaching approach: The lesson is based on the Communicative approach,
and organized through The PPP Procedure.

Pedagogical use of ICT in class or at home: In the lesson the activities are
organized through the listening of the audio to enhance the learning and
language acquisition
Seating arrangement: Students will be sitting in their desk.
Assessment: I will verify that students can understand and recognize the
vocabulary of the party objects.
I will verify that learners can understand and produce oral and written
sentences using questions and personal pronouns
Although I will use the PPP method, I will try to make the necessary mimics
so that they understand using the target language, encouraging the students
to produce the pieces of language I am teaching.
Stages in the lesson
4. Routine: 5´
Purpose: to start the lesson, motivating the students to be in a good
mood and predisposed work, to establish a good relationship.
Description:
I will get into the classroom and greet students: “Hello! How are you?”
EA: “Hello!”
I will invite students to sing a Hello song.
“Hello, Hello (I will move my hand waving)
How are you? (Pointing the students)
I am fine. And you?
I am fine.
Thank you.”
Then, I will ask students if they remember the classroom objects.
I will ask; “What is this?” (I show my pencil case)
EA. It is a pencil case.
I will ask; “What is this?” (I show a pencil)
EA. It is a pencil.
I will ask; “What is this?” (I show book)
EA. It is a book.
Then, I will ask; “What other objects do they know?”
EA; “pen, ruler, rubber, sharpener, crayon and school bag”.
Transition: I will ask students “Do you like parties?”
Warm-up 5´:
Purpose: to introduce the topic and teaching points
Description:
I will stick on the blackboard a picture about a party.
Also, I will ask the students if they know “what is this?”

I will write on the blackboard.

Purpose: expose to the vocabulary and teaching the objects party
Then I will show the following flashcards. And I will ask if they know “what is

Activity 1 – 5´
Purpose: Identify party objects and practise the vocabulary.
Description:
I will invite students to open their pupils’ books on page 22 and listen to the
story. I will play the cd on the CD player
Then, I will ask students “what is the story about?”
EA: a birthday party.
I will ask the students “how many party objects can you see in the story”
E.A.: a party hat. A cake. Presents. Balloons. Candles.
I will ask students, what colour is the party hat?
7. E.A.: it is red.
I will ask students, what colours is the cake?
E.A.: it is orange, pink and white
I will ask students, what colours are the presents?
E.A.: blue and yellow. Red and white.

Then, I will give a sheet of paper in which they have to complete with the
numbers.

I will invite students to open their pupils’ books on page 23 and listen to the
activity 1. I will play the cd on the CD player.
Then, I will ask, “What number are the balloons?”

9. I will ask, “What number are the candles?”

I will divide the children in two groups. I give each group 3 flashcards. I give a
minute to think the way to mime their flashcard. Each group takes turns to
mime their flashcard and the rest tries to guess.

Activity 5 – 10´
I will invite the students to open their workbooks on page 22. We are going to
complete the activity 1. Look, complete and colour.
“You have to write under the image the correct name of the image. Then you
can colour the image.
