1. DIALOGUE UNIT 2: Pasado
- Hello, Cristina, what are you doing?
- Hi! I´m thinking about my holidays…
- Really? In January? You have just had a rest in Christmas!
- Yes, it´s true, but I miss warm weather, beach… summer!
- Where did you go last summer?
- I went to Rome. What a wonderful city!
- I know. I was there five years ago
- I have family in Italy, so, I feel there like at home: happy
and confident
- Were you born in Italy?
- No, actually I was born in Spain. And you?
- In fact I´m French. Have you ever been in France? It´s a
beautiful country. I often go there and I always get some
time to have dinner in Maxim´s
- Really? I have never been in France! I don´t like French
food; I prefer Italian .
- French and Italian food are good, but Spanish is the best
one
- I do agree. Let´s eat some “pescaito”

DIALOGUE UNIT 4: HEALTH

2. - May I come in, doctor?
- Sure you can !Let´s see, Ms….
- Cristina, my name is Cristina
- Ok, Cristina, how can I help you?
- I don´t know exactly. I don´t feel good
- Oh, dear! What´s the matter with you, then?
- I´m coughing and I’ve got a sore throat… I also feel very
tired.
- I see. Are you taking any medicine?
- Yes, I have had some painkillers, but I don´t feel any
improvement. Do you think I may have the flu?
- No, I don´t think so. But you’ll have to stay in bed for a few
days and drink a lot of water. I will prescribe you some pills
and a syrup.
- Thank you, doctor.
- But wait. I can see in my laptop than you are a heavy
smoker
- Yes, I am. I can´t give it up
- You must try. Your lungs are paying for this. Do you feel
difficult to breath?
- I’m afraid so. I know I need some help. I have tried to quit
many times. Can you help me?
- Have you tried alternative medicines?
- No, I haven´t

3. - I´ll make you an appointment to see a specialist in
hypnosis, I know some good professionals. I think this could
help you a bit, may be.

DIALOGUE UNIT 6: FASHION
- Do you like this dress, Cristina?
- Yes, I love it! Do you think it will fit me?
- I think so. Why don´t you try it?
- OK. I will… so, what do you think? Do I look good?
- Yes, the color suits you!
- But does it fit me?
- May be you need a smaller size, don’t you think so?.
- I think this dress is perfect for my party
- Which party?
- I will have a party in a few days. Will you come, won´t you?
- Of course, but what is the party for?
- In two weeks is my birthday.
- Congratulations! I think I’ll also need some new clothes! I
prefer jeans and boots, I feel more comfortable and
confident dressing this way.
- But these jeans are too tight. Try a bigger size.
- OK I would also like a black leather jacket.

4. - Have you ever had one of those ones?
- No, I haven´t, and you?
- Yes I have one of those, but I don´t like how it suits me.
- Will you lend me it for your birthday party?
- Yes, of course.

DIALOGUE UNIT 8: PLANS AND RESOLUTION
- What did you do last Christmas?
- I was at home with my family, eating, drinking... eating and
drinking all day long… I’ve got fatter!
- Oh dear! The same thing every year…
- Yes… every year I try to change this routine, but I always
end up eating more than I should.
- I understand what you mean… it’s also one of my
resolutions every Christmas.
- Talking about resolutions, which have been your New
Year’s resolutions?
- I’ve proposed myself to go to the gym twice a week. Last
year I wanted to go but I was too busy. What about you?
- I want to read more and to learn English.
- Oh I would like to learn English too! But I don’t know if I
would have enough free time.
- That is also a problem for me but I will try to find some
spare time for it.

5. - Well I’m also planning to travel somewhere; I’d like to
sightsee an European city… London maybe!
- What a good idea! London is a beautiful city where you can
do different and interesting activities. I recommend you to
go on Christmas, the city is beautifully decorated.

- Good morning! Are you waiting for the interview?
- Yes, I am
- Ok. So I´ll be before you…
- Is it your first interview as a nurse?
- Yes… and I feel very nervious
- Be quiet. It will be a short time
- I know… but I have not any experience and this makes me
feel uncomfortable. I only have worked like a waitress
while I was in the University. But I know I can do it very
good
- Don´t worry. There is always a first time…
- Have you experience like a nurse?
- Yes, I have worked in a Hospital for 20 years. I have seen all
the illness. I have worked 10 hours and I haven´t rested for
a days

beautiful work in the world…
- Why do you think this?
- Because I think that we can make easier the life to a person
who is ill. We can help and share ours skills. I love nursery
- Ok. The work is yours!

- I´m the head of the nurses in this hospital. We are looking
