2. Style sheet
Research by Boyarski, Neuwirth, Forlizzi, and
Regli (1998) examining Times, Georgia, and
Verdana fonts on computer screens has found
that Georgia was significantly perceived to be
easier to read, sharper, and more legible than
Times.
I am planning to use Georgia
for because it is an aesthetically
pleasing font while being easily legible.
I have put the link to the article about
legibility below as it was crucial in my
decision making.
Font Research:

Georgia will also combine
with the natural colour
scheme as it looks like a
natural font in itself.
When researching colour schemes, I
came across this, which among a few
other things says beige is becoming a
colour that connotes power. Which made
it an obvious choice alongside green and
red.
3. Style sheet
These natural colours will be the
main colour scheme throughout
my project with red rumored
throughout to add energy to it.
This is Georgia combined
with the colour scheme.

Not certain about the colours yet
but it might be something
around this spectrum.
Are in person sporting events a

come back bigger than ever after
the pandemic?

The current plan for the layout of the video is to have three of the
video clips go continuously after each other with very little black
spaces between. While the plan for the beginning and end is to
have a short voice over with a picture of the website.
Possible sound effects
for beginning and end.

8. Software & Resources
Software needed Resources needed
Photoshop/Pixlr X: to edit and put together
any necessary images.
Hardware. I.E computer, mouse, keyboard
and monitor.
USB to transfer the work while working in
different rooms.
Webself: This is what I am going to create
the website with.
Headphones as I am going to be possibly
doing a short video intro.
Internet browsers I.E google or Edge. Fonts: Dafont will give me the fonts I need
to get the right font for each of my
products.
Gmail/outlook: As I will be creating a
virtual newsletter to send across email.
Unsplash: this will help me to get copyright
free images that I may need.
Youtube: this is more as a contingency as if
I need to understand something in one of
the software Youtube can help me to
understand the problem.
Onedrive: will let me store larger files that
a USB will not. (This is also way easier to
get to from different computers)
9. Contingency Planning
Potential Issue Solution
Webself not working/login problems: I have other applications in mind like: Wix and
squarespace as back-ups. And I will make sure
to keep a note for all my passwords.
Work not saving: I will save all of my work to Onedrive and USB
so I have a physical and virtual copy.
Going off-track with the project: By consistently sending my work to my teacher
I can make sure all my work is double checked
so I can't go off subject.
Images distorting when loading them into
editing software:
As I have multiple different editing software
as back-ups I can make sure that no matter
what I will be able to get the image without
it distorting.
Camera running out of charge while in York: This can be prevented by taking extra care
to charge the camera before going out to
shoot.
Too many people around York so I can't get
close enough/take a clear picture:
This can be prevented by planning two possible
dates, so I have a backup if it is too busy or if
there is no useable footage from the first one.
10. Health and Safety: inside
Potential Issue How will the issue be
avoided?
Eye strain from using a screen for an
extended period:
By taking frequent breaks and looking outside
this issue can be avoided.
Wrist/arm pain from using a mouse and
keyboard for extended amounts of time:
This issue can be avoided by taking frequent
brakes and doing wrist exercises.
Spine/back pain from sitting motionless for
too long:
This can be fixed by standing up and taking
short brakes throughout working.
Covid-19 inside: This can be avoided by the current procedures
that are in place around the college. And while
in class staying 2 metres apart.
Dehydration from focusing on the work so
much that you forget to drink enough liquids
throughout the day.
This can be avoided by making sure you always
have some kind of drink near you, so you don't
forget to drink.
Ventilated work environment: As windows and vents need to be open to
prevent covid infections I will make sure to
bring a coat so I can adapt to whatever
temperature necessary .
11. Health and Safety: Outside
Potential Issue How will the issue be
avoided?
Covid-19 as unlikely as it is to contract it
outside there is always a possibility:
Making sure not to go to close to people while
taking pictures around the city.
Bumping into people while trying to take
pictures of the minster:
This issue could be avoided by having someone
with me to make sure people don't get in the
way.
Unideal work environment as the minster is
in a wind tunnel:
To prevent being too cold or too warm I will
make sure to take a coat and be ready for the
possible strong winds.
Tripping while taking pictures around York: This issue can be avoided by being extra careful
while taking the pictures.
Dehydration from focusing on the work so
much that you forget to drink enough liquids
throughout the day.
This can be avoided by making sure you always
have some kind of drink near you, so you don't
forget to drink.
12. Week Plan of Action Resources Required
1 To begin production, I will start by spending the first
week designing the website. And then I will start
taking pictures of York.
• Day 1 & 2) Create a basic blueprint for the
website. Start working out where things will go and
then find appropriate images for the website.
Day 3 & 4) Take pictures, edit and insert them into
website and continue evaluation.
