2. Once upon a rare rainy day in malta
I was called to bring sunshine back to
the students. I was meant to catch
the 8 o’clock rainbow, but I missed it...
So I boarded the first plane to Malta which
was full of international teachers attending
the eTwinning International Conference.
Luckily, Ms Cini and her eTwinning
colleagues found me….
3. Animal Awareness day
Ms Cini drove me to school where I
signed in as a special guest.
Immediaely afterwards, I met the Head of
School and her lovely bird Gigi.
Conversations with a parrot are so inspiring.
4. Animal awareness day
Apparently, it was animal awareness day, where students got their pets to
be blessed. I met some lovely students who introduced me to some furry
friends.
5. Getting to know malta
A sweet student showed me the map
& told me all about Malta. I was offered some delicious Maltese
food too, fresh Maltese bread and
sweets ...almond cakes, date cakes
and black treacle ring
6. Getting to know the school
Ooh Lanterns...just like our project <3
The official languages in Malta are both
Maltese and English. In this school
however, there is vocabulary in Spanish,
German and Italian too!
7. Getting to know malta
To learn more about what happens
in Malta I was given a magazine to
read. Guess what? Students from
this school produced this magazine,
through the Entrepreneurship
project with Ms. Borg Orland hand
her team!
These students don’t just learn in
class...they have plenty of activities
too :)
9. And Singing and PLaying ...
We spent some time in
the music room too!
These two girls were
practicing for a concert
too!

14. Climbing is cool or is it?
I missed climbing up trees I
climbed up anything I
found..., even the Christmas
tree...Someone help Father
Christmas to the top!
I tried to climb up this one, but it’s
made from recycled plastic bottles
from Ekoskola & School Council
teams...good idea...less plastic
bottles in beloved nature.
15. More Friends...
I made new friends: a snomwan and
baby Jesus, but I scared the villagers
in the crib...I am too big.
16. Love Love Love...
The best friends of all
though are the sweet
students...they are the
reason i spent so much
time here...they
wouldn’t let me go! I
had to promise the boy
in the middle that I shall
be back...
17. Bye Bye Malta...off to the UK
It’s sunny again, mission
accomplished!...Off I go to cheer up
students in another school...
I prefer a seat please, not this
again...Wirral here I come...I’m
going to need to be massaged!

I have arrived safely in
the UK! I have been to
the reception at The
Observatory School to
sign in. All of my
paperwork and my
passport has been
checked and I am
ready to meet
everyone.
The journey from Malta was really
long, so first I am going to take
some time out in The Sensory
Room. It is so relaxing here!
20. It's cold outside
The change in
temperature has been
a shock! It is so cold
here in England. Miss
Gower has ordered me
a lovely winter coat to
wear. That should
keep me warm.
Luckily the heating is on in school, so it was nice and
warm. It was so lovely to meet the pupils, they gave
me a tour of the school.
21. Look who I bumped in to!
It was so good to meet
Snap. Ms Cini and her
pupils had told me all
about him. Snap has
visited so many schools
and met so many different
pupils, I am really looking
forward to visiting them
too. First I am going to
enjoy my time at The
Observatory School.

here. I have taken base
in Carson. They are
going to look after me
whilst I am here.

some great badges. I

a cuddly bear is that I get
to have hugs off everyone.
It makes me so happy to
make other people happy
:-)
24. Time to Learn
I have really enjoyed going to lots of
different lessons throughout my
time here.
I learnt lots of new things in Mr Marshall’s
Computing lesson. I even took a look at our

lessons the pupils have shown me lots of
new things and I have been impressed
with how hard they work!

around and being with
the pupils. Thank you

:-)
31. I have met lots of parents and carers
The pupils had told their
parents and carers all
about me. They were so
intrigued, they asked to
come in and see me in
person. I loved the Coffee
Morning and meeting
everyone. I got gifts of
flowers and cakes!
32. Snow Day
Today it snowed in England. It was such
a magical thing to see. The pupils
wrapped me up in a scarf so I did not get
too cold. I wonder what other countries I
visit will have snow?
33. Goodbye
I have had such a wonderful
time at The Observatory
School, but now I must say

Greece is like!
34. Hello greece
I just arrived in Giannitsa and ran
straight to the 2nd Primary School.

It’s really big ! (almost 340 pupils,they say)
I had to go upstairs and find the 3rd graders.
35. At the headteacher’s office

office.He was so busy
working with the
school’s secretary , but
still he was very kind
and curious to know
everything about me.

The 3rd graders were waiting
for me and gave me my first
presents.
37. First visit at the 3rd grade classroom
They even gave me a
“Martis”bracelet.It is made of red
and white string and is tied onto
the wrist.Folk superstition has
that people wear these bracelets
so that the sun of early spring
does not burn their cheeks ,so
the teacher said.

truth,Greek language
is not as difficult as you
think!

Thank you card to show their
gratitude to their friends in
class,their teachers(for their
patience)and guess what,to
me,for paying them a visit.I felt
so awkward ...
40. During recess
The kids couldn’t wait for recess and the chance to
get out of the class.Especially in spring ,when the
weather in Greece is sunny and warm, recess is fun
time.
We shared our snack, that is traditional Greek round
sesame bread,called koulouri.
41. IN THE TEACHERS’OFFICE
I checked the project’s page feeling nostalgic about home and eager to start
writing on my diary.
42. NEW FRIENDS
I couldn’t believe in my eyes when
the kids introduced me to the toys
they had brought from home just to
meet me.
43. SPECIAL HELP TO SPECIAL KIDS
I couldn’t miss the chance to enter this special classroom, where a special
teacher gives extra help to kids with special needs or learning disabilities.
44. Presents...just for me

many drawings and a small
badge that I felt so good!!!
