The Dagupan Extension Office of the Cooperative Development Authority recently held their 2nd Quarter Kooperatibalitaan forum at the Capitol Resort Hotel in Pangasinan. The forum aimed to discuss cooperative profiles and services. Several cooperatives presented, including ACDI Multi-Purpose Cooperative, Nueva Segovia Consortium of Cooperatives, and Sacred Heart Savings Cooperative. There was fruitful discussion as the media learned about the cooperatives' social impacts, operations, and the services they provide members, such as lending, production, healthcare, and resort and aviation ventures. The Deputy Executive Director also discussed the agency's policy direction under the current administration's poverty reduction goals.

The Dagupan Extension Office just recently conducted the 2nd Quarter KOOPERATIBALITAAN SA CDA forum last July 21, 2016 in the Capitol Resort Hotel
located in the Provincial Capitol Compound of Lingayen, Pangasinan.
As intended, the forum which aims to discuss and share relevant information had guest-cooperatives who presented their profiles and services. Among the
presenters were: ACDI Multi-Purpose Cooperative, Nueva Segovia Consortium of Cooperatives and Sacred Heart Savings Cooperative.
The activity was well-attended by our local media partners thru the coordination of the Pangasinan Provincial Information Center, lead by its Center
Manager, Ms. Venus May H. Sarmiento and her supportive staff, Ms. April M. Montes.
Among the highlights was the fruitful discussion as the media inquired from the presenters regarding their cooperative, its social impact in the community and how
it works for their members’ benefits. There was a convergent exchange of ideas and a discovery of sort for the media as they learned that our sector has indeed
advanced in terms of membership base and services being offered – from lending, production, healthcare benefits to resort management and even local
commercial aviation services as business ventures and plans.
Our very own Deputy Executive Director, Mr. Giovanni T. Platero was also present and discussed the policy-direction and updates of our agency in line with the
present administration’s thrust in poverty reduction and alleviation.
