1. Who would be the audience for your media product?
I believe Empire Magazine would be the appropriate magazine to feature my film in their
publication. This is because Empire Magazine is a well-established publisher founded in
1987 with their first released issue and is now the biggest selling film magazine in Britain.
Empire Magazine is populist in both approach and coverage and reviews mainstream films
and art films covering most genres including thriller.
My film would be aimed at an audience who enjoy physiological thriller aged 18 and above. I
believe the age rating for my film would be an 18 certificate if rated by the BBFC. This is
because it would feature very strong violence strong horror and strong blood and gore. This
magazine has a high base of customers aged 18 and over therefore this magazine would be
perfect giving my certificate. I would say the audience would be dominantly male as most
thriller films naturally appeal more to males oppose to females. It also features and an
attractive female main character which appeals to males as Goodwin's 6 point theory
'notion of looking'. This helps to sell the product to the target audience.
2. The main age range the film is targeting is 18-25 primarily students. This is because students
would like the horror element I have incorporated in my thriller. Students enjoy horror as it
is an interesting subject to talk about with their peers. This then has a chain reaction of
word of mouth, getting more and more people from that age range to watch the film.
The main female character is also of that age group making it more appealing as the target
audience can identify with the character more easily. As both Zoe Dean & David Williams
have just graduated and finding their path into adulthood.
Given my target audience of 18-25 dominantly male but also female primarily students
target audience. I believe it being would be appropriate to advertise it in Empire Magazine
as the target audience is a huge market. The age rage targeted is keen cinema enthusiasts
and Empire Magazine is already advertising films targeting at this market. Therefore it
would be a natural fit for them to advertise my production.

character and help from the only person who will believe her claims David Williams, an
upcoming reporter looking for his first big scoop.
Review
The debut film from Director Connor Edmonds brings a chilling psychological thriller to
cinema. The film is an emotional rollercoaster with mixed scenes of fast and high pace
tension. The film has many twists which adds to the depth of the film and develops the
storyline well. It’s villain a psychotic clown is compelling, The Clown has a mysterious dark
story which the protagonists Zoe Dean played by Kylie Lovelock and David Williams must
uncover. The protagonist characters are an interesting team with Zoe Dean being a newly
appointed city lawyer fresh from university life, who is originally presented as a weak
character struggling at work due to this but then progresses through the case becoming
stronger. David Williams is an upcoming reporter trying to find out about the recent
murders in the surrounding towns and cities. Hearing of Zoe Dean’s close escape from the
clown they team up and attempt to uncover the story, discovering there’s an even more
dark twisted horrifying man under the mask than they could have ever envisioned.

you can sink your teeth into and feel compelled to solve the mystery with the protagonists.
It also feature some scary thrilling scenes mixing from fast pace to slow pace keeping it
