What I learned?
Designing Documents, Slides and
Screens
 I believe the Designing Documents for Tech Writers
video was the best way to describe how things
should be laid out on documents, slides and screens.
How?
 The video stood out to me because of the way things
were nicely laid out
 The slides were to the point

 They were easy to read
 The slides were appealing to look at
 All the information was right there without long
paragraphs
Why?
This is significant because:
 It helps in business presentations
 It keeps the reader interested
 It gets directly to the point
 It doesn't miss any important information
Uses
 Business Presentations
 School Presentations
 Create proper presentations
 This will really help when I am interviewing for
jobs after graduation that require me to properly lay
out and present a PowerPoint with the tools I
learned.
What I learned
Social Media
 How crucial social media is in businesses.
 How important it is to manage them in a proper
way
 How beneficial or detrimental it can be to a
company

 There are certain ways to get the most buzz from
your social media
How?
The thing that helped me to understand the social
media the best was:
 The Fail Trail Article

 The writing assignment where we had to write
about the social media crisis really helped me to
understand the importance of controlling social
media from a business standpoint.
Why?
 When it came to the social media crisis assignment
it really made me think first hand about what
happens and how everything is handled.

 It also gave me the idea about how these arise and
what the solutions are to these issues and how
detrimental or beneficial social media can be.
Uses
 The uses of social media are endless.
 A few are:
 Twitter
 Facebook
 These two can be used to promote the company and
to create buzz for upcoming events or to relay out
important info.
 These are a good way to make connections with other
businesses and see what clientele you are missing.

Designing Documents and Social Media Importance

  • 2. What I learned? Designing Documents, Slides and Screens  I believe the Designing Documents for Tech Writers video was the best way to describe how things should be laid out on documents, slides and screens.
  • 3. How?  The video stood out to me because of the way things were nicely laid out  The slides were to the point  They were easy to read  The slides were appealing to look at  All the information was right there without long paragraphs
  • 4. Why? This is significant because:  It helps in business presentations  It keeps the reader interested  It gets directly to the point  It doesn't miss any important information
  • 5. Uses  Business Presentations  School Presentations  Create proper presentations  This will really help when I am interviewing for jobs after graduation that require me to properly lay out and present a PowerPoint with the tools I learned.
  • 6. What I learned Social Media  How crucial social media is in businesses.  How important it is to manage them in a proper way  How beneficial or detrimental it can be to a company  There are certain ways to get the most buzz from your social media
  • 7. How? The thing that helped me to understand the social media the best was:  The Fail Trail Article  The writing assignment where we had to write about the social media crisis really helped me to understand the importance of controlling social media from a business standpoint.
  • 8. Why?  When it came to the social media crisis assignment it really made me think first hand about what happens and how everything is handled.  It also gave me the idea about how these arise and what the solutions are to these issues and how detrimental or beneficial social media can be.
  • 9. Uses  The uses of social media are endless.  A few are:  Twitter  Facebook  These two can be used to promote the company and to create buzz for upcoming events or to relay out important info.  These are a good way to make connections with other businesses and see what clientele you are missing.
