it is:
• Printed in black and white?
• Printed to the size of a
postage stamp?
• Print as large as a
billboard?
• Printed in reverse (ie. light
logo on dark background)

of logos in different categories that you like.
• On the 2nd Artboard, find one good
logo and one bad logo, and explain how you
know it is good or bad based on these 5 tests
(simple, memorable, timeless, versatile, and
appropriate)

22. Simple- A simple logo allows for easy recognition. Good logos feature
something unique without being overdrawn.
Memorable- Logos should stick out in the minds of customers and be
recognized every time they see it.
Timeless- That is, it will endure the ages. Will the logo still be
effective in 10, 20, 50 years?
Versatile- A logo should be able to work across a variety of mediums
and applications.
Appropriate- Is it appropriate for it s intended use?
