2. Tagline – links to both the main image and the storylines which
will be covered within the soap opera trailer. The language used
is enticing as it doesn’t give too much away but it still enables the
audience to understand that it contains dramatic storylines,
which could involve violence, death and other common themes.
Point of Call Information – allows the audience to know what
days and time the program is on and also where to find it in
order to watch it.
Synergy with Social Media – This allows audience members to
follow up on the soap opera instead of just being limited to
watching it, so they may be able to find out extra gossip and voice
their own opinions or theories.
Main Image – it features all of the main characters present
within the soap opera trailer, which allows the audience to
understand who the soap opera is based on. The fact that the
characters stand within a ripped frame implies how their lives
are fragmented, and they are the center of the soap’s issues.
Tagline – This tagline perhaps links to the stalking storyline
presented in the main image, and it does connote a sense of
mystery and unease for the audience. However, it doesn’t really
link to my other storylines within the trailer, so it wouldn’t be
suitable to use for this reason.
Main Image – it involves the two main characters within the soap
opera trailer, where the boy is looking very suspicious whilst the girl
is unaware of his presence. This creates a sense of tension and unease
for the audience due to her naivety of the situation, and it immediately
connotes that his character has bad intentions.
