The Unequal Opportunity For Receive Treatment
The unequal opportunity to receive treatment
Jonathan K. Burns (2009) emphasized the findings of a community survey that indicated that
Americans do not have equal opportunity to receive proper mental health care treatment. (Burns,
2009) "A community survey in the US (a high–income country), for example, reported that low–
income individuals cited financial barriers to accessing care. However, this was not the case in the
Netherlands or in Canada, both HICs, where economic disparities and income inequality are lower.
Also " in the US, a house hold survey of adolescents found that those of low income status reported
far more structural barriers to accessing mental health services than did their middle and high–
income counterparts." (Burns, 2009: 23) Victoria Ojeda and Sara Bergstress (2008) conducted a
research study by administering surveys to measure the perceptions and attitudes of participants who
indicated that they needed mental health care treatment and were not receiving it. 44.5% of
participants indicated that finances were a barrier as to why they were not receiving mental health
care treatment. (Ojeda, Bergstress, 2008) Charles Zastrow (2014) expressed that studies have shown
that when one has a mental illness, they tend to face financial difficulties due to their illness as it
"results in a lowered social status and decrease in earning power" (Zastrow: 2014: 159) Social class
also dictates the quality of treatment the individual will receive as studies have

Old Girl Monologue
I'm walking to my locker after my 6th period, Choir which is across the school, and am pleased to
see that Jack has already left. At least I only have to deal with him once today, I'll just bring my stuff
to spare. I slant my stuff to my left arm, and start plugging in my combination. I pull open the tab,
and pops open my locker door. I shove my stuff into its designated, organized area, except for
homework, and zip up my bookbag. "Hey." The deep ish voice startles me, and I look around. To my
left, stands a beautiful creature who delivered the nest pizza in the entire world to my house. Any
guesses to who it might be? I smile, and his face brightens in reaction. Gosh, his teeth are so white,
how does he do that? But his lips pull up, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This, small, 3 year old girl, could easily be a model. Her rusty blonde and red hair was pulled up
into a pigtail on the very top of her perfect chubby head, so her hair spirts out like curly ringlets of
water. The lightning the food court bounces off her eyes, which are a light milk chocolate with dark
brown flecks. Hair pale ish skin toned face is dotted with freckles, and she has the perfect round
little nose. Her rich pink lips go up in a smile when she spots me and Lauren standing in front of her,
showing her pearly white baby teeth, with a bottom tooth missing. And her chubby hands fly to her
peach colored shirt, and she slides her hands down to the pockets of her little denim jumper. Oh my
god the shoes. Is it just me, or is everyone completely in love with tiny little black converse? They
look absolutely adorable on this little girl, and I just want to scoop her up and take her with me. Not

The Map Of India, By Aparna Sen 's Indian / English Movie,...
The map of India seems simple at first, but, upon learning more about it, the map becomes very
complex as you learn that there are many different religion practices and cultural beliefs. India is a
country where the citizens' live strictly by religion and tradition, by following their castes. It is that,
that keeps them strong and has helped them survived for hundreds of years. Correspondingly, in
Aparna Sen's Indian/English movie, "Mr. and Mrs. Iyer", the main actor, Raja, survives the
dangerous journey solely because he is associated to a "Tamilian Brahmin" caste. The film
highlights the two main religions – Hinduism and Islam and is portrayed by two characters,
Meenakshi Iyer (Konkona Sen) and Raja Chowdhury/Mr. Iyer (Rahul Bose). The movie revolves
around violence due to religion conflicts and companionship between Meenakshi and Raja who
have nothing in common. Through these two renowned actors, the viewer gains insight on the Indian
religion and cultural beliefs. Precisely, the caste and religion differences are exposed in the film by
the characters.
First, religion is intensely shown throughout the film. There is communal religion conflict between
Islam and Hinduism. The police officer announces to passengers that a communal riot has taken
place; Hindu's are looking to kill Muslims. Raja is in the bus sitting beside Meenakshi and the
rioters enter the bus to find any Muslims among the passengers. The first information they ask is
what is their identity. They ask a

A Paper On The Genus Hominins Essay
This is going to be a paper on the genus Hominins. Hominins are early human ancestors the first
being Sahelanthropus Tchadensis and ends with Homo Sapiens. A specie is a group of similar
animals, or plants and in our case homo, paranthropus and australopithecus that can interbreed
between each other and have a direct connection in lineage.A genus is a grouping of alike and
related species that all share in many traits. It is an overview of species that are different enough to
be put in one group but similar to be put under an umbrella term. In this paper it will take about the
later half of the hominin genus, from Homo rudolfensis to Homo sapiens. We will be taking a look
into how they are connected if they are, why I did not connect others and the culture behind it all.
Homo rudolfensis was found in 1986 by V.P. Alexeev . 2.4–1.8 Million years ago. Rudolfensis
maybe one of the first Homo Species and can maybe be traced back to kenyanthropus platyops.
Many believed at first glance Homo erectus was close to Homo habilis because they shared many of
the same features, were found near each other and dated to around the same time to 2.4 to 1.8
million years ago for habilis 2.3 to 1.5 million years ago for rudolfensis. Both are put under scrutiny
because many believe that due to the case of them having longer faces and bigger molars that they
are from Australopithecus and should be placed with them.Making them an australopithecus would
mean that it had the largest brain

South Afric An Evaluation Of The Status Of Our...
130,000 years of palaeoenvironmental and palaeoclimatic change in East Africa: An evaluation of
the status of our understanding
Over the last two decades, there has been intensive work undertaken to understand African
palaeoclimates, in order to put together a more coherent picture of how the environment and climate
have varied in the past. East Africa is of particular interest with the debates surrounding the "out–of–
Africa" migrations of anatomically modern humans (e.g. Appenzellar, 2012; Armitage et al, 2011;
Balter, 2011; Cruciani et al, 2011). It is still premature for any grand synthesis of the region's
climatic past when the patchiness of the palaeoclimatic and palaeoenvironmental records are
acknowledged, and in light of the complexity of the climate forcing mechanisms across this region
(Berke et al, 2014). The warning "causation, correlation or coincidence" still very much applies to
all exercises in explanation and more regional–scale work is certainly necessary (McIntosh et al.
2015). This essay initially takes the lens of human evolution to evaluate the status of our
understanding of the palaeoenvironmental and palaeoclimatic change during the critical "Out–of–
Africa" migration periods. This is followed by an in–depth review of the palynological record in
East Africa and associated records. This evaluation focuses on the last 130 kya, the upper boundary
of which, marks the start of the Eemian interglacial. This coincides with the date determined by
recent

daughter of Cole and Meredith Osiris, born in Dublin but raised in Liverpool and London. Aloy

she wakes up very late and has no time for that.
When not in uniform, her style is depended on her mood. Sometimes she would wear a beautiful
peach colored dress, but the other day she will wear oversized hoodie and jeans.
Aloy is considered to be a little shy, but when she has to defend her friends or even stand up to

especially with Quidditch, but sometimes she feels so lazy that she doesn't want to get up from her

The Doodling: A Short Story
Humans used Art since the beginning of time to communicate and express ourselves. In my early
teen years, art was a way to come through to me, doodling was one of my biggest hobbies. My
mother decided to sign me up for Big Brother and Big sister program, to help with my personality
and receive the encouragement I need. My story starts on a very stormy, rainy day in Tampa, FL.
My big sister, Alissa B, and my plans were cancelled due to the weather, soon after we then watched
several videos on DIY (Do it yourself) projects and one project stood out amongst the others, much
similar to a Christmas tree. We discovered melted crayon art, we later gathered the supplies and
went for it! Alissa and I attached beautifully colored crayons to a canvas

Short Story A Story
It was a queer, sultry summer, the summer three teenage girls went missing in the quiet town of
Maysville. This was the uttermost significant news the town ever received since a small–scale fire in
1978. This news had the whole town wondering who would make a decision like this. There were no
unusual suspects that would do such an occurrence like this. The parents had every police officer
and sheriff looking for their children. The girls who went missing were not "out of the ordinary"
children. They were all sophisticated and mature young ladies (in public). They never provoked
anyone or caused any drama with anyone. They were friends with everyone and were very well
known for their friendly deeds. This is why the whole town was so shaken when they went missing,
but little did they know about their private lives. The first girl, Brooke Saldivar, was a girl you
would think who would never do anything terrible. Brooke was from one of the wealthier families in
town, so she had a reputation to keep up. She kept her private life so private, none of her family
suspected she was doing anything villainous. She was a very devious and manipulative person. She
had no serious family problems, but she did have "telling the truth" problems. The second girl, Kya
Bryce, was an only child of a wealthy family, but she had several family problems behind closed
doors. Her family was a picture perfect family, but her parents were never genuinely involved in
their daughter's life. Kya was basically allowed to do anything she wanted, as long as she wasn't
getting pregnant. Her parents would buy her whatever she wanted just to make her be quiet.
Although she had all these problems, she was still one of the more respectable people in town. The
third girl, Tanya Rhoney, was another girl from one of the wealthiest families in town, except hers
was the wealthiest, so she has even more of an obligation to keep their family reputation, an
excellent reputation. She had a plethora of social pressure on her, so she turned to drinking and
drugs. She would never do anything deleterious around her town and she would never party with
anyone outside of their group. Her parents were "concerned" about her, but they would never do
anything

Neanderthal Child Essay
1. According to the video, what anatomical or social characteristics do we share with the earliest
humans like Turkana Boy from Africa?
Homo erectus was the first one of our ancestors who had bodies like ours. They were from a hunter
gatherer society that made and used tools. Like us, they also lived in social groups that took care of
each other. Viktor Deak also believes that they had feelings and behaviors similar to ours.

Site name: Caves located in Atapuerca, Spain (North) referred to as the "Pit of Bones."
Species: Homo heidelbergensis
3. What do the teeth of the Neanderthal child from Scladina tell us about their maturation rate and
why is that important? rate: important because:
Teeth of children are important because they can tell us how fast they took to mature.
The teeth of the Neanderthal child from Scladina tells us that according to our current maturation
rate, it would have been around 11 or 12 years old. They assume this based off the eruption pattern
of the teeth. When they look further into the internal structures it shows that the child is actually a
lot younger. They estimate the age to be around 8 years old. This tells us that Homo ... Show more

Rescuing children from the hands of Child Labour
This was the first time; the trainee was allowed to go on the field and that too on a raid to rescue

Personal Narrative: My Trip To The United States Of America
"I'm really in Africa," I'd kept reminding myself, as if to confirm what was really happening (pinch

just at a summer camp of sorts. Driving to the campus, I didn't see wild Africans with animal skins
on their backs or herds of elephants. Instead I saw trees– much like downtown New York city,
buildings, cars, (and traffic!). But what I was about to experience was far from the NYC Manhattan
feel. I was going to be in the midst of a mass of underprivileged people, living in crowded, rundown
shacks. Looking through the glass these Africans appeared vastly different than the typical
American. Most of them barefoot, dirty, and hungry, and

Analysis Of Umrao Jaan
In the film Umrao Jaan, the story is narrated by a woman who was kidnapped at a young age.
Umrao Jaan is a "courtesan" genre film in Bollywood. This genre often portrays the life of a
courtesan. In this film, A young girl (whose name is Amiran) is abducted by her father's enemy and
sold to a brothel where she learns to read, write, sing, and dance. She becomes an accomplished
courtesan; in a song sequence which compromises time, we see her grow up while learning how to
sing and dance. This song marks the beginning and training of her courtesan lifestyle. Towards the
end of the film, we get another song sequence where Umrao Jaan performs her poetry, "Yeh Kya
Jagah Hai Doston." I will analyze this song as the song speaks of her sense of confusion, loss, and
ache for home. In this song, Umrao has returned to her hometown of Faizabad (from where she was
abducted). She sings the song outside her biological home. Umrao as a courtesan, was a sex worker
who was often ostracized and condemned from the society. Due to Umrao being known in society as
a prostitute she is unable to find fulfillment in love. Through her songs and dance we see how she
expresses how much she desires to live a life beyond her condemned situation. Umrao in her life has
gone through various periods of rejection and oppression in her life. Through her verses of poetry
she express her predicament and feelings of loneliness. In the finale of the film, Umrao returns to
Faizabad. She is asked to perform a song where in the town she is known as a stranger. As the song
starts we see a flashback of Umrao when she was younger with her brother which, tells us this song
will express how much it means for her to back in her old town and the sadness that she will convey.
Umrao as she sings the first line saying, "What is this place, my friends" you see her eyes start to
glisten with tears as she sings. She goes on to say "What location is this. Where, as far one can see,
there's dust and only dust. She is saying that she is alone like she is living in a desert, and the
sadness and grief is overwhelming, that she cannot feel anything else other than sadness. Umrao
when she examines her life only feels sadness, grief, and bewilderment, that she is not aware

College Admissions Essay: My Love For Politics
One additional thing I would like the admissions committee to know about me is my love for

Obama rallies back in 2008, and I would diligently follow the news channels for news of the

representatives. I've written many a letter and started many a petition due to the disagreements I've

Being 8 years old and coercing my little sister to play pretend zoo with me, I knew that my

We are all leaving the nest and flying in different directions. Some of us will move on to a school

I ask you to look around you. Who do see before you? I see parents that have worked hard to give us

Analysis Of Umurao Jan
The movie Umrao Jan was directed by Muzaffar Ali in 1981 and is a social drama (Muslim social)
and classic film. The film featured Rekha (played as Umrao Jan), Farooq Shaikh (played as Nawab
Sultan), Naseeruddin Shah (played as Gohar Mirza) and Raj Babbar (played as Faiz Ali) in the lead
roles while Gajanan Jagirdar (as Maulvi) who plays a supporting role. The story of the movie is
about a Lucknow courtesan (tawaif) and her growth in popularity. During 1840, a girl called Amiran
who is kidnapped from her home in Faizabad and sold her in Lucknow. Later, Amiran turned into
Umrao Jan and prepared to attract men of wealth and flavor of some quality. Then, Umrao Jan falls
in love with Nawab Sultan, who is a high status person in society, but their love breaks up due to the
family concern. Finally, she saw her mother in her birthplace, but her brother didn't accept his sister
as a courtesan so he told her to leave this place and never come back. Then, she went back where
she grew up as a courtesan (tawaif) at Mehfil. The Umrao Jan's role is comparably higher in the film
and she glows up the screen, complying maturely with her character. Her acting skills touch the
audiences with the natural sense of emotions such as her sadness in her eyes and suffering on her
face took next level to the movie. Muzaffar Ali used a variety of songs in his movie which included
Ghazals, sad (songs of Pathos), marriage, religious and playful songs with the help of music director
Khayyam. By the traditional instruments, Khayyam scored the background music to represent a
situation well and smoothly carry the sequences. Also, Khayyam wants to get the attention of the
viewers/audiences by his music compositions. Khayyam portrayed his music passion throughout
each scenes BGM. For example, when there is a sad or happy scene, he increased and decreased the
tempo of the music and the quality of the sound (timbre) to enhance the visuals based on the
situation. Through the clever use of 'raag' and 'ras', Khayyam got the heart of the listening audience.
All of the songs in the film have been pictured well and are a feast for the eyes and the ears. Umrao
Jan has a wonderful songs and I will be analyzing the last Pathos song of

Analysis Of Poem ' The Conqueror Of Hearts '
3. 3: Content Analysis
Poetry is a compact language that expresses complex feelings. To understand the multiple meanings
of a poem, the researcher must analyze his words and phrases from the perspectives of the rhythm of
sound, the images, the obvious meaning and implied meanings.
Convinced of the power of poetry and its revolutionizing effect on human thought, Iqbal chose to
make his poetry a vehicle of a life giving philosophy which he considered to be the only panacea for
human ills. As a true idealist philosopher, he sincerely believed that thought comes first and the war
of liberation of mankind must begin in the minds and hearts of men. Minds may be conquered
easily, for the impact on mind soon loses its effect, but hearts conserve ... Show more content on

The swish of the basket marks another point for my team. We cheer, and I go to high five Lauren
who's closest to me. "What is that 52 to 39?" I say panting to a shirtless Camden. He looks fuming

toned, sweaty abs. "Ok, well, I'm starving. And you have no food." Elijah directs his comment to
Camden. "You say this like any of us care." Shea cocks an eyebrow, and Alice laughs. Elijah glares
at Shea, "Well if you let me finish, I was gonna suggest we get some pizza. Unless your highness is
too good for pizza?" Elijah fake bows to Shea. "No one is too good for pizza. Pizza might be too
good for you though!" Shea says and curtsies with a wink. Elijah at this point looks like he is gonna
kick Shea, which I think makes her and Alice laugh harder. I smile at how we get along. Maybe we
could be friends, as long as Camden doesnt mess it up. Nick comes up behind Elijah and slaps him
on the back, in the way only guys do. Because apparently it's cool or something. Boy logic,

A Study Of Human Migration And Settlements- Encompassing...
he Austronesian peoples have been a source of much anthropological study, attracting the intrigue of
Captain James Cook in his expeditions. The Austronesian language family is spoken by around 385
million people speaking 1200 languages, stretching from Madagascar to Rapanui– making it the
fifth most spoken language family in the world (Brown, 2009). Many believe that Polynesians are
descendants of Austronesians, however the origins and spread of the Austronesians are hotly
debated. Several lines of study have been utilised to elucidate the mysteries behind this perfect case
study of human migration and settlements– encompassing climate change, conflict, inter–marriage,
trade, and crucially, technological advancements. Some assume the ultimate origin of pre–
Austronesians to be in China, with a study by Min–Shan Ko et al. (2014) proposing that the pre–
Austronesians migrated south from northern China after foxtail millet domestication; continuing
south after domestication of rice in the Yangtze valley; embarking the Yellow Sea near Fuzhou and
arriving in northern Taiwan around 6 KYA based on archaeological evidence (Bellwood, 1978).
Some argue that the Austronesian language family developed here– of the 10 groups of the family, 9
are found only in Taiwan. The sizeable extra–Taiwanese Austronesian populations belong to the
remaining group (Blust, 1999). This may indicate Taiwan as the 'Urheimat', or linguistic home of the
language family and arguably its people– following the

Personal Statement : Karate Training
Friends and family who ask me about my karate training often ask, "Alec, what is the appeal in
karate that keeps you going?" I usually tell about the great journey it takes from white to black belt,
about the years of dedication it took me to get as far as I have today, and how I want to keep that
going. In doing this however, I will usually avoid talking about the black belt itself, knowing that
they probably expected me to talk about it. Outsiders who don't have any extensive knowledge of
karate often think about the goal of getting black belt, then finally getting it as being the most
important part and end goal of karate, and I really don't blame them. Very early on in my training I
was extremely focused on the black belt like ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Possibly the most important idea I would like to communicate to anyone interested in karate, is that
no matter the level you must be ready to be put outside of your comfort zone. To elaborate, you will
be constantly expected to learn new and complex concepts, such as forms and weapons, and
eventually being expected to teach a class of junior belts. You will not do as good as you planned,
and of course we as people don't like doing it wrong, so the feeling of "why did you not succeed?"
changes to motivation to do better the next time, and so you adapt. This cycle can be seen
throughout the belt path, from learning to make that front stance just a little deeper, to learning how
to better teach a form.
When people continue to be pushed like this, they tend to stay in karate for long amounts of time
compared to other activities because they always want to do better than the last time, and this
translates to not only learning how to become the best that you can be, but teaching lower belts the
best way, so that they might become better. I'm getting ahead of myself though, as all journeys have
a beginning, and the beginning of any student's journey is progressing from white belt. Chinese
Philosopher Lao Tzu once said that "a journey of a thousand miles starts with one step". My first
step in karate was my parents looking to sign my sister and I into an after school activity, to increase
our confidence and

the super hero showing how it can be done in real life. This can be hard to explain to better
understanding about an extra personal tool life. In the year of 2012, a young girl named Kya and her

that they were born with an animal spirits or the powers to the orphaned children. The mentor told
them that they have an extra personal tool life for hold their fates as a Ranger. All of them fight
together due to having an extra personal tool life in order to protect their home from the enemies of

their loves for other people and their parents that they never met before. Even the years went by, the
family of the orphaned children has extra personal tool life like their parents in the past as a Power
Ranger. This is one of the reason, I want to show what is an extra personal tool life about. Why
should we know something about extra personal tool life? Some of us have extra personal tool life
for helping other people as a hero. We can fight our lives to save other people when they are in
danger like the Power Rangers. Sometimes, we may not know about the extra personal tool life in
the real life to used it to help others. We can learn something new from Kya and her friends for

The Origin Of Modern Human Behavior
The origin of modern human behavior is a subject in anthropology that accumulates much debate.
Cognition is the dominant factor in such behavior, therefore raises the question, "when did this
separation of intelligent or modern thought from the primitive come to daily behavior for our
genus?" There are two such answers that hold experts in the field captive in debate: the rapid
"imagination revolution" in the European–centrailized Upper Paleolithic, and the steadiness of
cognitive growth provided first in Africa during the Middle Paleolithic. Although each argument
provides supportive evidence for their perspective claims, the more naturally convincing shows this
creative revolution taking place much earlier than the Upper Paleolithic. This explanations human
cognition developing with no brisk advantageous revolutionary response, and instead by gradual
means. This metamorphosis follows the pattern of biological human evolution. My argument
combats the "imagination revolution" claim to the origins of creativity using specific artifacts dated
earlier than those of European restrictions. Furthermore, it is the lack of excavation in Africa and the
conditions of the terrain itself that pose problematic preservation of artifacts, unlike in Europe, to
exonerate this innovative exclusivity. These pieces of evidence in Africa exemplify a higher process
of thinking, commonly those showing deliberate means of bead and rock art used for both personal
functions of expression. If art

Analysis Of The Film ' The Same Device '
The same device is used by Fellini to flesh out his protagonist, Guido for the audience and much of
the film's attractiveness lies in the identification of the audience with him through the interior
journey that they take with him through his experiences, memories and fantasies which have made
him what he is and the state he finds himself at that time. Washizu's fearful reaction to Miki's ghost
that he sees during a banquet in the latter's honor which is the same time that he has him killed
drives home the point that there the struggle with the consequences of unethical actions is not so
much external as it is internal. Washizu's path to the lordship of Spider's Web castle is littered with
blood and dead bodies. Asaji's succumbing to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Desire or ambition should, therefore, be tempered, keeping this truth in mind. This is also conveyed
through the opening and closing shots of the mist and the castle ruins, symbols of impermanence
with a choir singing in the Noh style: "Look upon the ruins of the castle of delusion; Haunted only
now by the spirits of those who perished; A scene of carnage, born of consuming desire; Never
changing, now and throughout eternity." Pertinently, this means that men and their creations will
come and go, but their desire remains constant, consuming all in its wake. As such, whether it is
Macbeth in Shakespeare's play or Washizu in Throne of Blood, the consequences of unbridled,
avaricious and unethical desire will always have the same effect through all human history and the
ruins of Spider's Web Castle stand as one testament to this everlasting truth. In the banquet
sequence, the lesson about the karmic consequences

Jericho: The Oldest Cities In The World
Located approximately 6 miles from the Jordan River in the West Bank of the Palestinian territories
lies the ancient city of Jericho (1). Jericho is thought to be one of the oldest cities in the world (2).
During its prime it was known as a fertile oasis in the middle of the dessert supplied by the Ein es–
Sultan spring (2). The city itself dates back to nearly 10 KYA and over 20 distinctive cultures have
lived in Jericho during that span and utilized its rich environmental resources (1).
Dating back to 10,000 BCE the earliest occupants of Jericho were hunter–gatherers of the
Mesolithic culture (3). It wasn't until 9600 BCE also known as the Pre–Pottery Neolithic A era did
evidence appear showing sedentary dwelling (1). Signs of early agriculture were found such as
cultivation of specific types of wheat and barley as well as circular structures made of clay and
straw held together with mud that were living quarters (3). Two artifacts excavated were the Jericho
Wall and Tower, both dating back to approximately 8,000 BCE (2). Many theorize that the wall was
built as protection against floods as well as defense against outside forces due to the thickness and
height of the wall (4). The wall surrounds the tower and there is implication that the tower was used
for ritualistic purposes (4). The vast construction of both the wall and tower gives indication to some
social order within the society (4). ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Advantage And Disadvantage Of Housemaids
Introduction For this project, I investigate the current debate surrounding the idea of keeping
housemaids with children for purposes; such as, taking care of the children and serving them is a
good or bad idea. Besides, because our values and norms are changed; as well as, our behaviors and
thoughts are changed by technology and globalization. In the past, there were no housemaids and
the parents have to serve themselves; in contrast, now, both parents are working, so they need
somebody to help them at home and to look after their children. However, with all advantages of
housemaids, everything has a negative side and housemaids also have disadvantages. This research
will examine this on a global or international scope. The aim of the research ... Show more content

The sub–reasons are parents don't know to deal with children as this research stated that housemaids
know things about the children more than their parents. Besides, this research reported that
housemaid was treating the child harshly, that is because housemaids see this work as a job to have
money which means they are not parents.
Conclusion/Recommendations
To conclude, leaving the children with housemaids can create problems; for example, they will
make unethical behaviors, they will be close to the children more than their parents and they will
impact the children's language.
However, you can solve those problems by putting your children in daycare or nursery school where
can play and interact with other children instead of picking up a new language or bad behaviors. The
second solution is living with a big family that children can communicate more with people from
same beliefs and behaviors. The last solution, if the parents decide to have children, one of them has
to scarify and leave the

Evolution Of The Modern Day Human Essay
The modern day human has not existed for very long, in fact its one of the recent species to populate
the Earth. Before modern day humans or Homo sapiens sapiens as we are scientifically known as,
existed a similar yet less developed Homo genus named Homo erectus/ Homo ergaster. Evidence of
these species dates back to over 1.9 million years ago and up to as recently as 70,000 years ago in
which the evidence can be found in Africa, Europe and Asia. In this essay I will firstly provide a
general timeline, providing key dates and phases of evolution. I will then discuss my findings from
the research I have collected as well as information provided by expert insights and discoveries. I
will explain the cause for the expansion from Africa to Europe and Asia and lastly I will elaborate
on the established branches of Homo erectus and how the different Homo genus came to exist.
Timeline
The Homo genus dates back almost three million years. The Homo habilis species was the first in
the Homo genus and is believed to have initially developed 2.8 mya (million years ago) in East
Africa before becoming extinct 1.5 mya. This occurred during the Lower Paleolithic period (2.7 mya
– 200 kya) in which the very first stone tools were created and mastered named the Oldowan stone
industry. H. habilis were the first fully bipedial species which allowed them to travel further than
their quadrupedial ancestors. Having covered most of Africa, the H. habilis was then able to

Northern America before migrating to Eurasia across the Bering land bridge (Prothero and Schoch,
2002) where they were first domesticated (Warmuth et al., 2011). Archaeological and genetic
evidence both indicate that the horse was first domesticated in the western Eurasian steppe (Outram
et al., 2009; Zeder, 2006; Warmuth et al., 2011). Another theory states that the Iberian peninsula of
northern Africa was an independent location of horse domestication because of a distinct haplotype
(Lusitani C) found only in this region (Lira et al., 2010). This theory however has not yet been
conclusively proved or disproved and requires further study. Genetic studies indicate that a
minimum of 77 mares needed to be domesticated to ensure genetic diversity for a domesticated ...

Some of the oldest evidence for horse domestication, between 5–5.5kya, can be found amongst the
Botai culture of northern Kazakhstan where it is hypothesised that the Botai adopted horse riding as
a technique to better hunt the wild horses that lived in that region. (Levine et al., 2003; Anthony and
Brown, 2000). Archaeological study of Botai settlements reveal pits filled with tens or hundreds of
thousands of bones, the majority (65–99%) of which were horse, and pottery soaked in horse milk

Indi The Biggest Film Industry
Bollywood is almost a religion for the people who live in India; it is the biggest film industry in
terms of sale. As Dagnaud and Fiegelson describe the situation, Ranking number one in the world
for the film production, being part of the top group of the cinema enthusiast nations, endowed with
T.V. channels and with a music industry full of dynamism, India has thus developed an
entertainment industry of large size movies playing the role of a launching pad. According to the
Telecom Regulatory Authority of India , 2013 figures show that India is the 14th largest
entertainment and media industry in the world. This national revenue contributes to about 1% of the
global entertainment and media's GDP. Bollywood is one of the largest and most successful
industries in the world which has been running for 100 years, 2008 figures show that the Indian Film
industry has grown by 17% over the course of three years (2004–2007). The toe–curling
embarrassment we face when one of these sensual performances are broadcasted during family TV
time makes me wonder why it's uncomfortable to watch women perform item numbers like Baby
Doll and not have a problem when watching scenes similar to Dostana when John Abraham is
swimming in trunks. Is this because of the stereotypes that Indian society has about how "decent"
women should behave? Or is it due to the vulgarity of the performance? The story and themes of
Bollywood movies traditionally portray the culture of religion; this has now

Short Story About Being Spanish
So far, I've survived more than half my day. Well, I guess if you called being stared at, whispered
about and dead tired all day, survived. But honestly, I'm used to it by now. I don't really care,
because I've just been trying not to think about the date with Sam I have tomorrow night, he texted
me as I walked in school this morning. That's all. A text.
I'm sitting in 4th period Spanish with Kya, soundlessly writing down my notes. Today is one of
those days where you can't say anything in English at all. So, naturally, no one talks. Because why
would we want to participate in this?
Someone taps my shoulder gently, and I scribble my notes furiously so I can be done when I turn
around. I cautiously look up at the front of the room, and the ... Show more content on

¿Puedo solicitar un lápiz?"
I'm gonna be frank here: we've been taking spanish since the 8th grade, and I didn't think Kya knew
any other language than English. And even then... So it surprises me for a minute that she can
actually speak spanish, instead of making fun of the characters expressions in the book.
I blink, but nod my head as I get an extra pencil from my bag. I sit back up, and hand the pencil to
Kya. I don't know why she'd need a pencil in the last 5 minutes of class. Kya takes the pencil, and I
look back down at my desk. I look up at the clock, and see we have a minute left. I pack up my stuff
in my binder, and stack it on my desk. I take the note, and unfold it, noticing Kya looking over my
shoulder at it.
Slut. We all know you'd sleep with anyone, but the fact that you slept with MY boyfriend... proves
how whore–ible you are. Don't bother denying it, I heard him tell Eli this morning. – Kasey
I look up from the note. My face is beet red, and I don't even know if I'm thinking. This definitely
isn't the first time rumors have been spread about me, but everytime they do it still hurts a little.
What makes me even more mad though, is that he spread this. He wants to have the whole school
talk about me, fine. It'll happen to him

The Unequal Opportunity For Receive Treatment

  • 1. The Unequal Opportunity For Receive Treatment The unequal opportunity to receive treatment Jonathan K. Burns (2009) emphasized the findings of a community survey that indicated that Americans do not have equal opportunity to receive proper mental health care treatment. (Burns, 2009) "A community survey in the US (a high–income country), for example, reported that low– income individuals cited financial barriers to accessing care. However, this was not the case in the Netherlands or in Canada, both HICs, where economic disparities and income inequality are lower. Also " in the US, a house hold survey of adolescents found that those of low income status reported far more structural barriers to accessing mental health services than did their middle and high– income counterparts." (Burns, 2009: 23) Victoria Ojeda and Sara Bergstress (2008) conducted a research study by administering surveys to measure the perceptions and attitudes of participants who indicated that they needed mental health care treatment and were not receiving it. 44.5% of participants indicated that finances were a barrier as to why they were not receiving mental health care treatment. (Ojeda, Bergstress, 2008) Charles Zastrow (2014) expressed that studies have shown that when one has a mental illness, they tend to face financial difficulties due to their illness as it "results in a lowered social status and decrease in earning power" (Zastrow: 2014: 159) Social class also dictates the quality of treatment the individual will receive as studies have ... At least I only have to deal with him once today, I'll just bring my stuff to spare. I slant my stuff to my left arm, and start plugging in my combination. I pull open the tab, and pops open my locker door. I shove my stuff into its designated, organized area, except for homework, and zip up my bookbag. "Hey." The deep ish voice startles me, and I look around. To my left, stands a beautiful creature who delivered the nest pizza in the entire world to my house. Any guesses to who it might be? I smile, and his face brightens in reaction. Gosh, his teeth are so white, how does he do that? But his lips pull up, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Hair pale ish skin toned face is dotted with freckles, and she has the perfect round little nose. Her rich pink lips go up in a smile when she spots me and Lauren standing in front of her, showing her pearly white baby teeth, with a bottom tooth missing. And her chubby hands fly to her peach colored shirt, and she slides her hands down to the pockets of her little denim jumper. Oh my god the shoes. • 5. The Map Of India, By Aparna Sen 's Indian / English Movie,... The map of India seems simple at first, but, upon learning more about it, the map becomes very complex as you learn that there are many different religion practices and cultural beliefs. India is a country where the citizens' live strictly by religion and tradition, by following their castes. It is that, that keeps them strong and has helped them survived for hundreds of years. Correspondingly, in Aparna Sen's Indian/English movie, "Mr. and Mrs. Iyer", the main actor, Raja, survives the dangerous journey solely because he is associated to a "Tamilian Brahmin" caste. The film highlights the two main religions – Hinduism and Islam and is portrayed by two characters, Meenakshi Iyer (Konkona Sen) and Raja Chowdhury/Mr. Iyer (Rahul Bose). The movie revolves around violence due to religion conflicts and companionship between Meenakshi and Raja who have nothing in common. Through these two renowned actors, the viewer gains insight on the Indian religion and cultural beliefs. Precisely, the caste and religion differences are exposed in the film by the characters. First, religion is intensely shown throughout the film. There is communal religion conflict between Islam and Hinduism. The police officer announces to passengers that a communal riot has taken place; Hindu's are looking to kill Muslims. Raja is in the bus sitting beside Meenakshi and the rioters enter the bus to find any Muslims among the passengers. The first information they ask is what is their identity. They ask a ... • 7. A Paper On The Genus Hominins Essay This is going to be a paper on the genus Hominins. Hominins are early human ancestors the first being Sahelanthropus Tchadensis and ends with Homo Sapiens. A specie is a group of similar animals, or plants and in our case homo, paranthropus and australopithecus that can interbreed between each other and have a direct connection in lineage.A genus is a grouping of alike and related species that all share in many traits. It is an overview of species that are different enough to be put in one group but similar to be put under an umbrella term. In this paper it will take about the later half of the hominin genus, from Homo rudolfensis to Homo sapiens. We will be taking a look into how they are connected if they are, why I did not connect others and the culture behind it all. Homo rudolfensis was found in 1986 by V.P. Alexeev . 2.4–1.8 Million years ago. Rudolfensis maybe one of the first Homo Species and can maybe be traced back to kenyanthropus platyops. Many believed at first glance Homo erectus was close to Homo habilis because they shared many of the same features, were found near each other and dated to around the same time to 2.4 to 1.8 million years ago for habilis 2.3 to 1.5 million years ago for rudolfensis. Both are put under scrutiny because many believe that due to the case of them having longer faces and bigger molars that they are from Australopithecus and should be placed with them.Making them an australopithecus would mean that it had the largest brain ... • 11. South Afric An Evaluation Of The Status Of Our... 130,000 years of palaeoenvironmental and palaeoclimatic change in East Africa: An evaluation of the status of our understanding Over the last two decades, there has been intensive work undertaken to understand African palaeoclimates, in order to put together a more coherent picture of how the environment and climate have varied in the past. East Africa is of particular interest with the debates surrounding the "out–of– Africa" migrations of anatomically modern humans (e.g. Appenzellar, 2012; Armitage et al, 2011; Balter, 2011; Cruciani et al, 2011). It is still premature for any grand synthesis of the region's climatic past when the patchiness of the palaeoclimatic and palaeoenvironmental records are acknowledged, and in light of the complexity of the climate forcing mechanisms across this region (Berke et al, 2014). The warning "causation, correlation or coincidence" still very much applies to all exercises in explanation and more regional–scale work is certainly necessary (McIntosh et al. 2015). This essay initially takes the lens of human evolution to evaluate the status of our understanding of the palaeoenvironmental and palaeoclimatic change during the critical "Out–of– Africa" migration periods. This is followed by an in–depth review of the palynological record in East Africa and associated records. This evaluation focuses on the last 130 kya, the upper boundary of which, marks the start of the Eemian interglacial. This coincides with the date determined by recent ... In my early teen years, art was a way to come through to me, doodling was one of my biggest hobbies. My mother decided to sign me up for Big Brother and Big sister program, to help with my personality and receive the encouragement I need. My story starts on a very stormy, rainy day in Tampa, FL. My big sister, Alissa B, and my plans were cancelled due to the weather, soon after we then watched several videos on DIY (Do it yourself) projects and one project stood out amongst the others, much similar to a Christmas tree. • 24. Short Story A Story It was a queer, sultry summer, the summer three teenage girls went missing in the quiet town of Maysville. This was the uttermost significant news the town ever received since a small–scale fire in 1978. This news had the whole town wondering who would make a decision like this. There were no unusual suspects that would do such an occurrence like this. The parents had every police officer and sheriff looking for their children. The girls who went missing were not "out of the ordinary" children. They were all sophisticated and mature young ladies (in public). They never provoked anyone or caused any drama with anyone. They were friends with everyone and were very well known for their friendly deeds. This is why the whole town was so shaken when they went missing, but little did they know about their private lives. The first girl, Brooke Saldivar, was a girl you would think who would never do anything terrible. Brooke was from one of the wealthier families in town, so she had a reputation to keep up. She kept her private life so private, none of her family suspected she was doing anything villainous. She was a very devious and manipulative person. She had no serious family problems, but she did have "telling the truth" problems. The second girl, Kya Bryce, was an only child of a wealthy family, but she had several family problems behind closed doors. Her family was a picture perfect family, but her parents were never genuinely involved in their daughter's life. Kya was basically allowed to do anything she wanted, as long as she wasn't getting pregnant. Her parents would buy her whatever she wanted just to make her be quiet. Although she had all these problems, she was still one of the more respectable people in town. The third girl, Tanya Rhoney, was another girl from one of the wealthiest families in town, except hers was the wealthiest, so she has even more of an obligation to keep their family reputation, an excellent reputation. She had a plethora of social pressure on her, so she turned to drinking and drugs. She would never do anything deleterious around her town and she would never party with anyone outside of their group. Her parents were "concerned" about her, but they would never do anything ... What do the teeth of the Neanderthal child from Scladina tell us about their maturation rate and why is that important? rate: important because: Teeth of children are important because they can tell us how fast they took to mature. The teeth of the Neanderthal child from Scladina tells us that according to our current maturation rate, it would have been around 11 or 12 years old. They assume this based off the eruption pattern of the teeth. When they look further into the internal structures it shows that the child is actually a lot younger. Stepping off the plane, I didn't feel altered. To be honest, I felt like I wasn't miles from home, just at a summer camp of sorts. Driving to the campus, I didn't see wild Africans with animal skins on their backs or herds of elephants. Instead I saw trees– much like downtown New York city, buildings, cars, (and traffic!). But what I was about to experience was far from the NYC Manhattan feel. I was going to be in the midst of a mass of underprivileged people, living in crowded, rundown shacks. • 32. Analysis Of Umrao Jaan In the film Umrao Jaan, the story is narrated by a woman who was kidnapped at a young age. Umrao Jaan is a "courtesan" genre film in Bollywood. This genre often portrays the life of a courtesan. In this film, A young girl (whose name is Amiran) is abducted by her father's enemy and sold to a brothel where she learns to read, write, sing, and dance. She becomes an accomplished courtesan; in a song sequence which compromises time, we see her grow up while learning how to sing and dance. This song marks the beginning and training of her courtesan lifestyle. Towards the end of the film, we get another song sequence where Umrao Jaan performs her poetry, "Yeh Kya Jagah Hai Doston." I will analyze this song as the song speaks of her sense of confusion, loss, and ache for home. In this song, Umrao has returned to her hometown of Faizabad (from where she was abducted). She sings the song outside her biological home. Umrao as a courtesan, was a sex worker who was often ostracized and condemned from the society. Due to Umrao being known in society as a prostitute she is unable to find fulfillment in love. Through her songs and dance we see how she expresses how much she desires to live a life beyond her condemned situation. Umrao in her life has gone through various periods of rejection and oppression in her life. Through her verses of poetry she express her predicament and feelings of loneliness. In the finale of the film, Umrao returns to Faizabad. She is asked to perform a song where in the town she is known as a stranger. As the song starts we see a flashback of Umrao when she was younger with her brother which, tells us this song will express how much it means for her to back in her old town and the sadness that she will convey. Umrao as she sings the first line saying, "What is this place, my friends" you see her eyes start to glisten with tears as she sings. She goes on to say "What location is this. Where, as far one can see, there's dust and only dust. She is saying that she is alone like she is living in a desert, and the sadness and grief is overwhelming, that she cannot feel anything else other than sadness. I've written many a letter and started many a petition due to the disagreements I've had with the decisions our lawmakers are making. Politics is a very fundamental part of society, and I find it incredibly interesting and important. Turning this infatuation into more, I've focused my college studies on animal science and plan to include it in my future career. With my aspiration to care for animals, I was more than excited to hear about the SoBran internship opportunity that would allow me to interact with animals while making a difference in the animal and human world. After our conversation, and researching more about SoBran, I understood just how much I want to be involved in the vivarium research that you all conduct. One of the main research points that hit home for me, was cardiology. The reason this hit close to my heart is because this past summer, I had rescued my 2–year–old golden retriever, Kya, from a hoarding situation. After adoption, I had received the unfortunate news that Kya had been diagnosed with an aortic stenosis. This meant that her aortic valve was narrower than normal and would potentially lead to heart failure. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The film featured Rekha (played as Umrao Jan), Farooq Shaikh (played as Nawab Sultan), Naseeruddin Shah (played as Gohar Mirza) and Raj Babbar (played as Faiz Ali) in the lead roles while Gajanan Jagirdar (as Maulvi) who plays a supporting role. The story of the movie is about a Lucknow courtesan (tawaif) and her growth in popularity. During 1840, a girl called Amiran who is kidnapped from her home in Faizabad and sold her in Lucknow. Later, Amiran turned into Umrao Jan and prepared to attract men of wealth and flavor of some quality. Then, Umrao Jan falls in love with Nawab Sultan, who is a high status person in society, but their love breaks up due to the family concern. Finally, she saw her mother in her birthplace, but her brother didn't accept his sister as a courtesan so he told her to leave this place and never come back. Then, she went back where she grew up as a courtesan (tawaif) at Mehfil. The Umrao Jan's role is comparably higher in the film and she glows up the screen, complying maturely with her character. Her acting skills touch the audiences with the natural sense of emotions such as her sadness in her eyes and suffering on her face took next level to the movie. Muzaffar Ali used a variety of songs in his movie which included Ghazals, sad (songs of Pathos), marriage, religious and playful songs with the help of music director Khayyam. By the traditional instruments, Khayyam scored the background music to represent a situation well and smoothly carry the sequences. Also, Khayyam wants to get the attention of the viewers/audiences by his music compositions. Khayyam portrayed his music passion throughout each scenes BGM. For example, when there is a sad or happy scene, he increased and decreased the tempo of the music and the quality of the sound (timbre) to enhance the visuals based on the situation. Through the clever use of 'raag' and 'ras', Khayyam got the heart of the listening audience. All of the songs in the film have been pictured well and are a feast for the eyes and the ears. I say panting to a shirtless Camden. He looks fuming to say the least. "Yeah yeah Sholt." I smile at his poor sports manship, and try not to stare at his toned, sweaty abs. "Ok, well, I'm starving. And you have no food." Elijah directs his comment to Camden. "You say this like any of us care." Shea cocks an eyebrow, and Alice laughs. Elijah glares at Shea, "Well if you let me finish, I was gonna suggest we get some pizza. Unless your highness is too good for pizza?" Elijah fake bows to Shea. "No one is too good for pizza. Pizza might be too good for you though!" Shea says and curtsies with a wink. Elijah at this point looks like he is gonna kick Shea, which I think makes her and Alice laugh harder. I smile at how we get along. Maybe we could be friends, as long as Camden doesnt mess it up. Nick comes up behind Elijah and slaps him on the back, in the way only guys do. • 55. A Study Of Human Migration And Settlements- Encompassing... he Austronesian peoples have been a source of much anthropological study, attracting the intrigue of Captain James Cook in his expeditions. The Austronesian language family is spoken by around 385 million people speaking 1200 languages, stretching from Madagascar to Rapanui– making it the fifth most spoken language family in the world (Brown, 2009). Many believe that Polynesians are descendants of Austronesians, however the origins and spread of the Austronesians are hotly debated. Several lines of study have been utilised to elucidate the mysteries behind this perfect case study of human migration and settlements– encompassing climate change, conflict, inter–marriage, trade, and crucially, technological advancements. Some assume the ultimate origin of pre– Austronesians to be in China, with a study by Min–Shan Ko et al. (2014) proposing that the pre– Austronesians migrated south from northern China after foxtail millet domestication; continuing south after domestication of rice in the Yangtze valley; embarking the Yellow Sea near Fuzhou and arriving in northern Taiwan around 6 KYA based on archaeological evidence (Bellwood, 1978). Some argue that the Austronesian language family developed here– of the 10 groups of the family, 9 are found only in Taiwan. The sizeable extra–Taiwanese Austronesian populations belong to the remaining group (Blust, 1999). This may indicate Taiwan as the 'Urheimat', or linguistic home of the language family and arguably its people– following the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 57. Personal Statement : Karate Training Friends and family who ask me about my karate training often ask, "Alec, what is the appeal in karate that keeps you going?" I usually tell about the great journey it takes from white to black belt, about the years of dedication it took me to get as far as I have today, and how I want to keep that going. In doing this however, I will usually avoid talking about the black belt itself, knowing that they probably expected me to talk about it. Outsiders who don't have any extensive knowledge of karate often think about the goal of getting black belt, then finally getting it as being the most important part and end goal of karate, and I really don't blame them. Very early on in my training I was extremely focused on the black belt like ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Possibly the most important idea I would like to communicate to anyone interested in karate, is that no matter the level you must be ready to be put outside of your comfort zone. To elaborate, you will be constantly expected to learn new and complex concepts, such as forms and weapons, and eventually being expected to teach a class of junior belts. You will not do as good as you planned, and of course we as people don't like doing it wrong, so the feeling of "why did you not succeed?" changes to motivation to do better the next time, and so you adapt. This cycle can be seen throughout the belt path, from learning to make that front stance just a little deeper, to learning how to better teach a form. When people continue to be pushed like this, they tend to stay in karate for long amounts of time compared to other activities because they always want to do better than the last time, and this translates to not only learning how to become the best that you can be, but teaching lower belts the best way, so that they might become better. I'm getting ahead of myself though, as all journeys have a beginning, and the beginning of any student's journey is progressing from white belt. Chinese Philosopher Lao Tzu once said that "a journey of a thousand miles starts with one step". My first step in karate was my parents looking to sign my sister and I into an after school activity, to increase our confidence and ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Some of my next few paragraphs will be explaining about an extra personal tool life and last paragraph will be my final answer of explaining all of the paragraphs. It will help the super hero showing how it can be done in real life. This can be hard to explain to better understanding about an extra personal tool life. In the year of 2012, a young girl named Kya and her friends are orphaned growing up together. They don't know who is their families and their past history as a Ranger. The mentor told them that they have an extra personal tool life for hold their fates as a Ranger. As the orphaned children turned in the loving family, they learn that nothing can stop their loves for other people and their parents that they never met before. Even the years went by, the family of the orphaned children has extra personal tool life like their parents in the past as a Power Ranger. This is one of the reason, I want to show what is an extra personal tool life about. Why should we know something about extra personal tool life? Some of us have extra personal tool life for helping other people as a hero. We can fight our lives to save other people when they are in danger like the Power Rangers. Sometimes, we may not know about the extra personal tool life in the real life to used it to help others. We can learn something new from Kya and her friends for having an extra personal tool ... • 61. The Origin Of Modern Human Behavior The origin of modern human behavior is a subject in anthropology that accumulates much debate. Cognition is the dominant factor in such behavior, therefore raises the question, "when did this separation of intelligent or modern thought from the primitive come to daily behavior for our genus?" There are two such answers that hold experts in the field captive in debate: the rapid "imagination revolution" in the European–centrailized Upper Paleolithic, and the steadiness of cognitive growth provided first in Africa during the Middle Paleolithic. Although each argument provides supportive evidence for their perspective claims, the more naturally convincing shows this creative revolution taking place much earlier than the Upper Paleolithic. This explanations human cognition developing with no brisk advantageous revolutionary response, and instead by gradual means. This metamorphosis follows the pattern of biological human evolution. My argument combats the "imagination revolution" claim to the origins of creativity using specific artifacts dated earlier than those of European restrictions. Furthermore, it is the lack of excavation in Africa and the conditions of the terrain itself that pose problematic preservation of artifacts, unlike in Europe, to exonerate this innovative exclusivity. These pieces of evidence in Africa exemplify a higher process of thinking, commonly those showing deliberate means of bead and rock art used for both personal functions of expression. If art ... Analysis Of The Film ' The Same Device ' The same device is used by Fellini to flesh out his protagonist, Guido for the audience and much of the film's attractiveness lies in the identification of the audience with him through the interior journey that they take with him through his experiences, memories and fantasies which have made him what he is and the state he finds himself at that time. Washizu's fearful reaction to Miki's ghost that he sees during a banquet in the latter's honor which is the same time that he has him killed drives home the point that there the struggle with the consequences of unethical actions is not so much external as it is internal. Pertinently, this means that men and their creations will come and go, but their desire remains constant, consuming all in its wake. As such, whether it is Macbeth in Shakespeare's play or Washizu in Throne of Blood, the consequences of unbridled, avaricious and unethical desire will always have the same effect through all human history and the ruins of Spider's Web Castle stand as one testament to this everlasting truth. • 65. Jericho: The Oldest Cities In The World Located approximately 6 miles from the Jordan River in the West Bank of the Palestinian territories lies the ancient city of Jericho (1). Jericho is thought to be one of the oldest cities in the world (2). During its prime it was known as a fertile oasis in the middle of the dessert supplied by the Ein es– Sultan spring (2). The city itself dates back to nearly 10 KYA and over 20 distinctive cultures have lived in Jericho during that span and utilized its rich environmental resources (1). Dating back to 10,000 BCE the earliest occupants of Jericho were hunter–gatherers of the Mesolithic culture (3). It wasn't until 9600 BCE also known as the Pre–Pottery Neolithic A era did evidence appear showing sedentary dwelling (1). Signs of early agriculture were found such as cultivation of specific types of wheat and barley as well as circular structures made of clay and straw held together with mud that were living quarters (3). Two artifacts excavated were the Jericho Wall and Tower, both dating back to approximately 8,000 BCE (2). Many theorize that the wall was built as protection against floods as well as defense against outside forces due to the thickness and height of the wall (4). The wall surrounds the tower and there is implication that the tower was used for ritualistic purposes (4). The vast construction of both the wall and tower gives indication to some social order within the society (4). ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... • 67. Advantage And Disadvantage Of Housemaids Introduction For this project, I investigate the current debate surrounding the idea of keeping housemaids with children for purposes; such as, taking care of the children and serving them is a good or bad idea. Besides, because our values and norms are changed; as well as, our behaviors and thoughts are changed by technology and globalization. In the past, there were no housemaids and the parents have to serve themselves; in contrast, now, both parents are working, so they need somebody to help them at home and to look after their children. However, with all advantages of housemaids, everything has a negative side and housemaids also have disadvantages. This research will examine this on a global or international scope. The aim of the research ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The sub–reasons are parents don't know to deal with children as this research stated that housemaids know things about the children more than their parents. Besides, this research reported that housemaid was treating the child harshly, that is because housemaids see this work as a job to have money which means they are not parents. Conclusion/Recommendations To conclude, leaving the children with housemaids can create problems; for example, they will make unethical behaviors, they will be close to the children more than their parents and they will impact the children's language. However, you can solve those problems by putting your children in daycare or nursery school where can play and interact with other children instead of picking up a new language or bad behaviors. The second solution is living with a big family that children can communicate more with people from same beliefs and behaviors. The last solution, if the parents decide to have children, one of them has to scarify and leave the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 71. Evolution Of The Modern Day Human Essay The modern day human has not existed for very long, in fact its one of the recent species to populate the Earth. Before modern day humans or Homo sapiens sapiens as we are scientifically known as, existed a similar yet less developed Homo genus named Homo erectus/ Homo ergaster. Evidence of these species dates back to over 1.9 million years ago and up to as recently as 70,000 years ago in which the evidence can be found in Africa, Europe and Asia. In this essay I will firstly provide a general timeline, providing key dates and phases of evolution. I will then discuss my findings from the research I have collected as well as information provided by expert insights and discoveries. I will explain the cause for the expansion from Africa to Europe and Asia and lastly I will elaborate on the established branches of Homo erectus and how the different Homo genus came to exist. Timeline The Homo genus dates back almost three million years. The Homo habilis species was the first in the Homo genus and is believed to have initially developed 2.8 mya (million years ago) in East Africa before becoming extinct 1.5 mya. This occurred during the Lower Paleolithic period (2.7 mya – 200 kya) in which the very first stone tools were created and mastered named the Oldowan stone industry. H. habilis were the first fully bipedial species which allowed them to travel further than their quadrupedial ancestors. Having covered most of Africa, the H. habilis was then able to manufacture stone tool ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

HOW PRZEWALSKI IS CONSIDERED WILD. The extinct wild ancestor of the domestic horse, Equus ferus, is believed to have originated in Northern America before migrating to Eurasia across the Bering land bridge (Prothero and Schoch, 2002) where they were first domesticated (Warmuth et al., 2011). Archaeological and genetic evidence both indicate that the horse was first domesticated in the western Eurasian steppe (Outram et al., 2009; Zeder, 2006; Warmuth et al., 2011). Another theory states that the Iberian peninsula of northern Africa was an independent location of horse domestication because of a distinct haplotype (Lusitani C) found only in this region (Lira et al., 2010). As Dagnaud and Fiegelson describe the situation, Ranking number one in the world for the film production, being part of the top group of the cinema enthusiast nations, endowed with T.V. channels and with a music industry full of dynamism, India has thus developed an entertainment industry of large size movies playing the role of a launching pad. According to the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India , 2013 figures show that India is the 14th largest entertainment and media industry in the world. This national revenue contributes to about 1% of the global entertainment and media's GDP. Bollywood is one of the largest and most successful industries in the world which has been running for 100 years, 2008 figures show that the Indian Film industry has grown by 17% over the course of three years (2004–2007). The toe–curling embarrassment we face when one of these sensual performances are broadcasted during family TV time makes me wonder why it's uncomfortable to watch women perform item numbers like Baby Doll and not have a problem when watching scenes similar to Dostana when John Abraham is swimming in trunks. Is this because of the stereotypes that Indian society has about how "decent" women should behave? Or is it due to the vulgarity of the performance?
