How To Create A Dystopian
I finished packing my bags and walked outside my house. I pulled out my good luck dragan, Benji.
This will be the perfect gift to Harry, I thought. I brought my bags to the car. "Finished load up?"
Harry asked. I nodded as I put my suitcase in the trunk. We walked to the front of house to exchange
gifts. "Happy 5th Anniversary, Janet." "Same to you. Here's your gift, Harry," I said as I pulled out
Benji out of my pocket and handed it to Harry. "Cool! I love dragons, but I read that this tiny
dragon–" "His name is Benji," I interrupted. "Ok. I think Benji is cursed," Harry said. "They say

The curse is real," Harry said, struggling to stand. He dropped the bottle as we feel on our backs
when another tentacle arrived. This tentacle picked up Harry and pulled him down into the water.
"Janet!" Harry cried. "Harry!" I yelled as he was sucked into the blue waves. I picked up the bottle
and tried to regain my balance. The tentacles threw the boat with me in it. I flew across the sky and
crashed into the water, never to see the light again. ****** I woke up on the shore facing the
midnight sky. Is this all a dream? I thought. I stood up and looked around me. I saw broken pieces of
wood and a note in a bottle. I looked for bright lights from buildings, but the only light I saw came
from the silver moon. I walked to the bottle and picked it up. That horrible nightmare of tentacles
can't be real, can it? What if it's Benji? Nah, probably not. I unscrewed the top and unrolled the note.
It can't be real! It can't be real! I read the letter. To my love, This is the lucky number five. I just
want to tell you, no matter what, I will always be there for you. I will always love you. I will always
be right next to you, even if I'm gone. Happy 5th Anniversary, darling. May our love be endless.
Love, Harry Jefferson

Compare And Contrast Squid And Octopus

Squids vs. Octopus The ocean animals I am going to compare are octopus and squid. I am
comparing these two things because they are unique ocean creatures. I think that it is interesting
how they both catch their prey, and how they live. It is also really interesting to learn what they eat
and how they do things.
The first thing I am comparing is an octopus to a squid. An octopus has 8 tentacles, and uses all of
them to catch their prey. They live in dens on the seafloor. Octopus lose their outer shell and get a
new one back. They also have a round head. Octopus lifespan is 3–5 years. It has two eyes and four
pairs of arms, and like other cephalopods, it is bilaterally symmetric. It has a beak, with its mouth at
the center point of the arms. They feed mainly on worms, crabs, whelks and clams. The giant Pacific
octopus feeds on shrimp, clams, lobsters, and fish, and even larger prey, such as sharks and birds. It
has a beak, with its mouth at the center points of the arms. Octopuses are ocean creatures that are
most famous for having eight arms and bulbous heads. They squirt ink to deter predators; and being
boneless, they can squeeze into (or out of) tight spaces. The water depth in which they live ranges
from the shallow, coastal waters to about about 330 feet deep. The ... Show more content on

their eight sucker–lined arms to capture their prey and move about on the ocean floor. Squids have

INTRODUCTION
The Sea Cucumber is an Echinoderm (Phylum Echinodermata) and is also an Invertebrate. Sea
Cucumbers belong to the family "Holothuroidea". There are approximately 1,150 described species
of Sea Cucumber of which most are marine and distributed worldwide. Genus Pseudocolochirus are
among the most poisonous Sea Cucumbers in the World.
The most important feature distinguishing ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Some of them position themselves in the direction of the currents in order to catch food that flows
by, with their open tentacles. At other times, sea cucumbers may use their tentacles to sift through
the sediments on the bottom floor.
The sea cucumber has a very primitive digestive system. It has a pharynx that lies behind the mouth,
surrounded by a ring of ten calcareous plates. For some sea cucumbers, this makes up only a
substantial part of their skeleton, and forms the point of attachment for muscles that can retract the
tentacles into the body for safety and for the main muscles that are part of the body wall. Many
species of the sea cucumbers have an oesophagus and a stomach, but for others, the pharynx opens
directly into the intestine, and therefore, lacks these structures. The intestine is usually long and
coiled, and is looped through the body at least three times before in end in a cloacal chamber, or in
some species, directly as the anus.
When it feeds, the sea cucumber will extend its tentacles, covered with sticky mucus, into the water
until food particles cover the tentacles. The sea cucumber is a suspension feeder; therefore, it takes
in small bits of detritus and microscopic organisms that float near the sea bottom. They are

Astraea Research Paper
Astraea: Star Coral
Astraea, also known as star coral, are typically in the shape of what can be described as boulders,
domes, or cones. However, less often they can be found in the form of flat plates or thick crusts
(Great Star Coral, n.d.).. These colonies of coral grow to be up to 2.5 m in diameter. The color of
Astraea can vary between green, brown, gray, orange, and red; the coral is more often bright red and
orange during the day due to a cyanobacterial protein, which is an essential source of nitrogen
(EDGE: Coral Reef Species, 2008). They only move very slightly in an almost, floating–like
manner. Astraea can be found in almost all reef environments, and it is usually the most dominant
coral at depths between 12 and 30 m (Kluijver, n.d.). These are often the most sedimented areas of
the reef, which is where the Astraea thrive, due to their build. The colonies have very steep sides,
which allows the sediment to simply, roll off the coral. If there is still sediment that settles into the
colony, the polyps will produce waves of movement to remove them. Once again, if this technique is
unsuccessful, the polyps will ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
These tentacles are used not only for to itself, but also to protect the space around it, due to
competition (EDGE: Coral Reef Species, 2008). These tentacles are usually spread out during the
night from the outside edges of the colony. As well as the sweeper tentacles, they also have
mesenterial filaments that extend from their digestive system, which allows them to eat other coral
species that may be invading their space. These filaments help direct food into a central mouth, and
then the food is digested into a sac–like body cavity (Boulder Star Coral, 2010). Astraea are
classified as both heterotrophic and autotrophic feeders because, as well as using their tentacles to
prey on other coral species, they also utilize organic matter and bacteria (Vaughan,

Tube anemones (Cerianthus anemone) are said to look like "living lava lamps". These organisms
range in color from brown/beige to fluorescent pink, purple, and green on the outer tentacles, while
the inner tentacles vary from white to a creamy hue. These creatures are native to the seabeds of the
coastal waters of the Indo–Pacific, however these organisms are becoming increasingly common in
the sandy seafloor along the Californian coast. The sandy seafloor that these creatures call home
looks barren to the naked eye, but is actually home to millions of organisms. Variety of species is
low on the seafloor but species concentration is high. While the seafloor is a habitat for many
organisms, there is little protecting them from grit and sand

Compass Jellyfish Research Paper
The Compass Jellyfish is also called Chrysaora hysoscella which actually isn't a fish, it is a type of
plankton. It is just under 100% water, this jellyfish does not have a heart, brain, bones, or blood. Its
kingdom is animalia, phylum is cnidaria, class is scyphozoa, order is semaeostomeae, family is
pelagiidae, and its genius is chrysaora. The compass jellyfish lives in cold or temperate waters. This
Jellyfish lives in the coastal waters of the Mediterranean ocean, the northeast Atlantic ocean, and
coastal regions of South Africa. Also can be found near the United Kingdom and Turkey waters, but
mostly found in the Irish, Celtic, and North seas. They range between being 2m to 30m underwater
but it would be uncommon for them to go deeper than that. Adults can be seen just under the surface
of the water but when the current picks up, they dive deeper and can be find near the seabed. On the
UK coast you can mostly see them between the months of July through October.
This jellyfish has a yellowish/white, circular/saucer shaped bell. On the top part of the bell, there is a
dark circle with surrounding brown, u–shaped marks. Although most of the time they do, they don't

In order for compass jelly fish to catch their prey they must catch it with their tentacles. They sting
the prey and then use their tentacles/arms to pull it into its mouth. Its tentacles can be extended and
also pulled back in. The compass jellyfish can give a painful sting and if you were to be stung, you
should wash the wound in salt water and try to find vinegar. If you do not have vinegar, peeing on it
will help the least. Vinegar takes the toxins of the sting out which will help release the pain the
wound is causing. The jellyfish also disposes of its wastes throughout the same place the food goes
in. When the jellyfish eats it must wait till it disposes of its wastes before it can catch its prey and

Compass Jellyfish Research Paper
The compass jellyfish, also called the Chrysaora hysoscella, has a round, saucer like smooth bell–
shaped body which is about 8 inches in diameter and can grow up to 15. They are very common and
distinguishable from other jellyfish due to the yellowish white bell with brown v–shaped marks
running from the center to the outer edges of the jellyfish. It also has 24 long stinging tentacles, in
eight groups of three, coming out from the rim that alternate eight sensory organs. The mouth, is
located underneath the center of the bell, and is encircled by four arms.
These jellyfish can live in cold and moderate waters of the ocean between 4–28 degrees Celsius.
They can usually live/be found by the coast in continental shelf regions like the Atlantic and
Mediterranean (United Kingdom and Turkey). Adult compass fish can usually be found near the
surface of the water, however, when the currents toward the surface are too strong for them; they
tend to move to deeper waters, although it is scarce for them to be located below 30m but drift
deeper if they feel threatened by a predator. They swim by using the movements of their bell which
pushes water out and thrusts them forward.
When the compass jellyfish is female, planulae get released from the mother and freely swim for
approximately three days until ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
They use their tentacles to catch prey, and olfactory stimuli help them detect light in order to do so.
They feed on other marine invertebrates like copepods and also plankton. In order to move food
toward their mouth, they need to use their four long tentacles. These tentacles have nematocysts
cells or stinging cells that soften their prey which help them capture their prey easier and it doesn't
cause damage to their tantalizing tentacles. They are also prey to other fish and sea turtles, which
makes somewhat of a competition between the

it has a blue float made of a flat, circular disc with many gas–filled tubes which keep it afloat. The
disc is surrounded by tiny blue tentacles.
The Blue Button is, in fact, a colony made up of different types of polyps, including some that are
specialised for catching food, defense, or reproduction.
Size: its disc is up to 2.5 cm across.
Behaviour
Diet: small marine animals such as copepods, crab larvae and tiny fish fry. Its tentacles kill prey
with their sting and then move the food to its mouth, which is on the underside of its disc.
Movement: it floats freely in the water, and is moved along by ocean currents and wind.
Breeding: Blue buttons are hermaphrodites (i.e. both male and female). The specialised reproductive
polyps release both eggs and sperm into the water. When the eggs have been fertilised by the sperm,
they develop into larvae that subsequently metamorphose into individual polyps. A Blue Button
colony forms when one polyp divides to form new types of polyps which become specialised for
different functions. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Box Jellyfish: Nothing Square About It For many people, water is a source of relaxation and
comfort, while others believe that it can be dangerous and deceiving, but often times people do not
look at what lives among it. Whether it is a body of fresh water, or a body of salt water, many
creatures lurk among the depths of seas, oceans, lakes, and rivers without gaining the attention of
human beings. With this, a plethora of sea creatures that tend to remain hidden can harm human
beings. People believe that sharks are the deadliest sea creature on the planet, however, this is a false
statement. Sharks are most known for their terrifying attacks on humans, but they lack the qualities
of a deadly creature. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
As for the blue–ringed octopus, this animal can somewhat compare to a sea wasp when it comes to
staying hidden. The blue–ringed octopus can control its dermal cells, allowing it to camouflage itself
in the rocks and reefs throughout their respective oceans. Also, the size of the octopus helps its case
against box jellies, being that the blue–ringed octopus is no bigger than a golf ball (Barnett). But this
could hurt the octopus if it is looked at from another viewpoint; the size of the box jellyfish and its
tentacles are the reason that it is above the blue–ringed octopus in lethality. The length of the box
jellyfish allows it to inflict more damage, and release more venom than a blue–ringed octopus. By
looking at box jellies from this perspective, they are clearly more deadly than their fellow dangerous
sea creatures. With the possibilities of dying by way of cardiac arrest, heart failure, drowning, and
Irukandji Syndrome, box jellies have many ways to kill a human being. These aquatic devils have
been on record for killing people around the Australian area since 1884. In 2003, a seven year–old
boy swimming on an unprotected beach near Cairns, Australia, was stung by a sea wasp. The boy
immediately screamed in pain while his grandfather pulled him out of the water. But before the boy
could be administered the anti–venom, he went into cardiac arrest and died. This boy became the

Drosera Glanduligera Movie Analysis
If an insect's life was a horror movie, this is how it would start: Scary string music. Glistening, shiny
glue drops. A close–up of a sundew plant and–KERPOW! The sudden flick of a green tentacle
flinging the insect into the air. The screen goes dark. The monster in this film? Drosera glanduligera,
a carnivorous sundew from southern Australia. Plants. We all eat them. You probably ate one for
lunch. Insects also eat them. Sometimes plants are the ones being eaten, but every now and then, a
plant gets revenge. The Australian sundew is one such plant. Thirsty insects see raindrops on the
leaves of these plants. But this "water" is actually a glue–like substance used by the plant to trap the
bugs! Talk about a sticky situation! You may be familiar with the carnivorous sundew plant, which
sports tentacles with sticky glue drops to snag bugs for a delicious meal. But scientists dug a little
deeper into the Australian version, which comes with an added punch–a non–sticky, "snap" tentacle
that moves faster than the blink of an eye. When animals, mainly arthropods, land on its tentacles,

Ad Analysis: Outdoor Life By Andrew Mckean
Ads are just about anywhere you look. Some are funny, some are clever, and others can just be
annoying. A main source of ads can be found in magazines. Magazines are always crammed full of
the latest fads, the newest products, and the best tools. Outdoor Life , edited by Andrew Mckean, is
a magazine that targets men, around the ages of 20–40, with tips, stories, and products involved with
the outdoor ways. This includes anything and everything involved with fishing, hunting, boating and
enjoyment of nature. Some ads try to sell guns, reels, knives, and gloves. In the mix of these ads,
there is a Progressive ad selling insurance. The picture presents Progressive's employee, Flo. She is
humorously fighting a monstrous octopus underwater. Above the water are boats sitting peacefully,
watching the sunset. At the bottom of the page is a saying "EVERY BOAT NEEDS A
PROTECTOR." They are selling insurance for boats in the Outdoor Life magazine, where many
fishermen or boat owners will come across it, making it easy to weave the outdoors and insurance
into something that is related, then presented. Color stretches across the entire page. The ad presents

Coming across an ad in the Outdoor Life where the famous Flo is wrestling an octopus was no
surprise. The picture seems fairy–tale like, with Flo being dressed like Poseidon, the mermaid, and a
viking ship, and it almost along the lines of a cliche fishing tale, something that was exaggerated
and stretched a little more than what really had happened. All of these details fit into the fishing
theme of the Outdoor Life, making the ad quite clever. Many men will stop and look at the ad
because there is so much action going on, and they will find it funny. They may even consider
getting insurance for their boat in case there would be damage inflicted somehow, but hopefully not

Research Paper On Pandora
Pandora was born into a long line of necromancers, which gives her family a higher chance to
become born with dark powers in their DNA. In Pandora's case, she was one of the many souls in
her family name whom didn't turn out to have the dark power in their blood. While her family and
herself didn't have a problem with this fate, her other relatives would often shame her family for
their daughter and father not being a 'pure blood'. This caused Pandora's parents to become
disowned from their family tree and forced by law to live by the surname, strange due to a lawsuit
that her relatives had won. This caused Apollonia and Jayson to keep Pandora away from others who

From what she had read, she figured the most efficient way to get dark magic was to evocative a
spirit whom could grant her the power. It had taken Pandora to wait three years until she could
conduct the ritual due to her parents act of taking all of her books on the dark arts, considering that
they had grown worried about her and wanted to make her understand that she shouldn't commit to
such a thing. Once she had begun the ritual, a vengeful spirit had been evocative and she had
ignorantly begged for the spirit's power. The spirit had complied with her request, with the exception
that she would have to avenge him by violently killing his murderer. Despite the young girl's
hesitation, the spirit ended up giving her no choice whatsoever and gave her the dark power she
desired for so long. Pandora grew excited to try out her power, but turned out to become horrified
that many small, black tentacles had wrapped around her chest and the entirety of her arms. She held

Cuttlefish Research Paper
One of the most mystifying creatures of the deep blue sea, the cuttlefish is not a fish it is some
squid–like mollusks. The cuttlefish has a large out stretched body with its mouth being surrounded
by tentacles, giving it the nickname head–footed. Cuttlefish around the world varies from sizes of
15cm to 60cm and weigh from the range of 6lb to 23lb. This creature is found throughout the warm
tropical shallows of the ocean to the cold depths of the deep ocean.in order for the cuttlefish to

Those tentacles have sucker–pads that help bring in the prey into the sharp beak the cuttlefish has.
As the cuttlefish, being a carnivorous creature, it usually feeds on small crustaceans such as shrimp
and crab. They also hunt on various types of fish along with others of its kind. During mating season
male cuttlefish will change their body color to attracts a female cuttlefish. When the male cuttlefish
is wooing a lady, he will often "cheat" by making female patterns on one side of the body while the
other side the one facing the females shows off male patterns, this fools other males into thinking
there just seeing a couple of females but that means more opportunity of the cheater cuttlefish to
mate before they are discovered by other males. Female cuttlefish lay around 200 eggs and shortly
die afterwards. In the cuttlefish they have this thing called the cuttlebone, but it is not actually a
bone, but rather the internal shell of the cuttlefish, the cuttlebone is filled with gasses that help
control buoyancy in the water. For years people have harvest and used the bones for many purposes.
The usage of the cuttlebone is widely recognized as supplements and exercise toys for

Giant Squids Research Paper
Giant squids, zombie worms, and yeti crabs may all live in in the ocean, but this does not mean that
they are similar. Actually, that is one of the few things they might have in common. These under the
sea critters have many characteristics that make them different from one another. For instance, the
zombie worm can produce an acid to defend itself, while the giant squid can squirt ink when it needs
to protect itself. These creatures are all very unique.
Giant squids are different because of the way they look and their way of life. For example, giant
squids have the "largest eyes of any animal on earth–great light absorbing capacity" (Database).
Their two eyes have a diameter of about 30 centimeters, which is about the size of a basketball.

Sea Anemone Research Paper
The Dangerous But Not Dangerous Critter
Well you might be thinking how a sea anemone can be dangerous but not dangerous at the same
time. Sea anemone are dangerous but to fish but not to humans. Sea anemone are very interesting
critters with many unique features and other exquisite things.
The colors of the sea anemone can be a variety of colors like a rainbow. They also have a pretty
wide range in size and weight too. The length of the sea anemone ranges from ½ inch to 10 ft. Their
weight range is as light as 0.022lb to 440lbs. 440lbs is about the weight of a small piano.
Sea anemone live in a plentiful amount of oceans. They live in 3 of the 7 oceans of the world. Some
sea anemone love tropical, warm waters the Indian and Pacific ocean, while other sea anemone love
the icy cold waters of the Arctic. However, whatever ocean the sea anemone live in the sea anemone

Jellyfish Theme Song
Poisonous 'Jellyfish' Man of War comes to U.S Soil

In recent news, several Portuguese Man of Wars were spotted off the shore of New Jersey, the
organism usually found in warmer waters equator region, usually as far north as Florida waters.
Although, it looks like a blue jellyfish, it is not.
Instead it is made of several organisms called a siphonophore
(http://animals.nationalgeographic.com/animals/invertebrates/portuguese–man–of–war/) that work
together as a group to survive and happen to have tentacles just like a jelly fish. Only this also
happens to be very toxic and painful to get stung by. Unlike Jellyfish, these Man of Wars have no

Although the venom for humans is very seldom a fatal wound, it will still deliver a painful than hell
wound even though it's dead, which sucks. The venom is there to help immobilize prey and kill it so
that the organism can feast upon the meal after all is said and done. Then the tentacles bring the
meal to the little bubble like head for the organism that make up the Man of War to feast upon.
Using caution around the Man of Wars.
Of course after the sightings of the invertebrates, New Jersey officials of the Poison Information and
Education System released a press release (http://www.njpies.org/PDFs/News–and–Events/Press–

Summary: Box Jellyfish Stings
Introduction
Jellyfish stings are a major and increasing problem in Australia and require prompt medical
treatment to prevent extensive injury or death (1). There are many methods to the treatment of Box
Jellyfish envenomation in Australia; from sea water and ice, to vinegar and urine (1). Therefore, it is
vital to remain relevant with current research and literature on the best treatment of this
controversial topic, to ensure patients are receiving the best possible care. This paper will include a
reflective paper on current literature pertaining to the topic and the practicality of interventions and
methods of management in the out–of–hospital setting. Furthermore, utilising this information, a
critique of current local clinical practice guidelines (CPG) and Justifications and recommendations
for amendments will be made.
Literature Review
In Australia, Box Jellyfish are found in Northern tropical waters (2). Stings from the Box Jellyfish
are most common in summer months, however, can occur all year round, typically close to the shore
line (2). The contact marks from a Box Jellyfish typically present in a ladder pattern and cause

However, other resources, such as mobile doctors may be available to prevent the patient from
requiring hospital admission (17). Furthermore, certain approaches to pain relief, such as warm
running water and cold packs, are not always readily available to paramedics. Thus implementing
these procedures as a necessary part of paramedic practice would not prove practical. However,
paramedics should be aware of the different approaches to relieving pain for these patients and be
further aware that if the resources are available, they should be utilised in order to provide as much
relief as possible to the suffering

Spongebob Vs. Squidward Tentacles
Nickelodeon's "Spongebob Squarepants" has two main characters, Spongebob (of course) and
Squidward Tentacles. The two have some similarities but many difference between each other. Even
though they both live under the sea and next neighbors, it's clear that they are two different
characters.
One obvious difference between Mr. Tentacles and Squarepants is their appearance. For one,
Spongebob is a yellow sponge where Squidward is, well a gray squid. Spongebob has only four
limbs and Squidward has eight. One is a long, lanky character and the other is more of a short,
stubby individual. It's clear when you look at Spongebob, you see his white shirt, brown box pants,
red tie, white tube socks and black shoes. On the other hand, Squidward only ... Show more content

Spongebob is a joyful character that loves life itself. Squidward just seems to mope and complain
bout everything. You can see how much Spongebob loves Squidward but he always knows to shut
Spongebob out of life. Squidward is more of a matured character because he doesn't goof around
like Spongebob does with his best friend, Patrick. Kind of explains why Squidward is continuously
yelling at him and telling him to grow up.
Spongebob and Squidward (like their personalities) have interest in absolutely two different things.
For example, Spongebob loves his job work as a fry cook as compared to Squidward, who hates the
fact that he even works as a cashier for Mr. Krabs. Spongebob loves to go jellyfishing with Patrick
while Squidward enjoy staying in his house to play his clarinet, Claire. When it comes to food,
Spongebob's favorite food is the Krabby Patty and jelly from jellyfish. Squidward's taste buds are
completely different because he likes the taste of bread in a can.
There are a couple of similarities that Spongebob and Squidward share when you see the two on tv.
Both characters work for Mr. Eugene Krabs, himself. Even though, Squidward hates being around

Sting-Site Analysis
Watch out before you dip those feet in the water! Next time you're on vacation in Hawaii or Alaska,
be cautious of the jellyfish that reside in these waters. The Alatina Alata and Chinorex fleckeri, most
commonly known as the Hawaiian and Australian Box Jellyfish, respectively, excrete one of the
most poisonous venoms when they sting. Several articles and websites post absurd remedies which
claim itself as a quick fix for this problem. In fact, it's a huge problem to be considered. Many
misleading articles may spread the word on methods of sting–site relief which may cause potentially
lethal consequences resulting from the collection of false, unsupported data.
Scientists Angel Yanagihara and Christie Wilcox conducted an experiment to determine the most
effective way to prevent further aggravation of a sting site; the scientific article is published in the

Jellyfish are very simple creatures with being 98% water, so how would they get energy? Well
jellyfish actually have mouths, that they use to eat other plankton, or bigger fish depending on the
size. Jellyfish also probably wouldn't be able to eat if they couldn't paralzse their food, because it
would just swim away. Because a fish swims into the jellyfish's tentacles, they get zapped or
poisoned and eaten by the jellyfish. These creatures have a unique eating method, they paralyze their
prey with venom that comes from their tentacles. There are filaments on the tentacles that stick to
their prey and almost immediately apply poison. Once the jellyfish's prey is paralyzed, the jellyfish
will use its tentacles to put it into it's mouth. "tentacles

Krabs, because he said that Mr. Krabs would wish he would give him a raise. But this counter
argument is invalid because Spongebob did not kill Mr. Krabs since he was playing with Patrick at
the time Mr. Krabs was murdered. The third counter argument is that Spongebob still could have
killed Mr. Krabs if he just went back into the Krusty Krab after Squidward had saw him but the
thing is this didn't happened because Squidward would have seen Spongebob walk into the Krusty
Krab. So this did not happen as seen in evidence #19, #20, #6. The last counter argument that would
most likely be brought by the prosecution is that the only suspect could be Spongebob because he

year old boy living in Brooklyn with his family of four, and all he wants is to succeed in life, if he
doesn't kill himself first. He is depressed and pretty much hates his life, he wants to be normal. His
best friend, Aaron, stole his crush, Nia, which makes him hate life even more. His stress eventually
manifests itself in an eating disorder, use of pot, affected sleep habits, and suicidal thoughts. So, he
admits himself to a nearby psychiatric hospital. "I'm fine. Well, I'm not fine –– I'm here." (Vizzini,

Surrealism And Surrealism
Impressionism is an art movement originating in France which ran between the 1860s until the
1890s. Famous artists of the genre include Claude Monet and Gustave Caillebotte. The movement is
typically characterized by its sketch–like techniques and its use of bright vivid colors, giving the
painting a bright look. Impressionism's sketch–like appearance allowed artists to paint the world
imperfectly as to demonstrate an impression of what it looks like, which is where the name comes
from. The tendency of impressionist artists was also to paint shadows with a more colorful appeal by
replacing the blacks and greys by colors. As the form did not represent the reality of a landscape, it
allowed artists to also represent the optical effects of light and diverge from the mainstream norm of
the realism movement. Surrealism is an art movement which ran between the 1920s until World War
2. Major artists of the movement include André Breton, Salvador Dalí, René Magritte and Sigmund
Freud whose work on human psychology has served as major inspiration for the movement.
Surrealism can be recognized by its attempt to create an extremely fictional world and does not
portray ours. Subjects in surrealist paintings seem very out of place and would not appear in that
landscape in the real world. The practice of this movement draws heavily from Freud's research on
the nature of the human subconscious and attempts to draw a painting of the surrealistic nature of
dreams and human fantasy. The Pop

The Case of the Killer Cnidarians There are many Cnidarians that live and thrive in our tropical

Box Jellyfish Research Paper
Abstract This research paper explores one of the most venomous creatures in the world, the box
jellyfish. This includes what they are, how the venom works, its life cycle, its common diet and its
habits, and also to find out why the combination of its venom, physiology, and feeding habits made
them dangerous to humans.
Introduction
Jellyfish are marine animals that has a gelatinous bell and tentacles, which can be used to capture
prey. It belongs to the phylum cnidaria, which generally has polyp and medusa stage in their life,
and has stinging organs called cnidocytes that contains another organ called nematocyst, which
contains venom. While most jellyfish are venomous, most of them are non–lethal to humans.
However, some jellyfish can produce venoms potent enough that it can kill a human. One such class
of jellyfish are the box jellyfish. There are a number of species of box jellyfish that can potentially
kill a human with its sting, however, there's no other species deadlier than Chironex fleckeri, which

Tropical Reefs In Disney's Finding Nemo
The tropical reef is a highly competitive environment where every organism is literally engaged in a
daily battle for survival. Whether it's competing for space, food or the opportunity to reproduce, the
tropical reef is not quite the home sweet home Disney portrayed in Finding Nemo. While Disney
may have been sloppy in terms of ecological accuracy and animal behavior, the movie did highlight
some of the more interesting symbiotic reef relationships (e.g. Jacques or Nemo himself). These
symbiotic relationships, whether mutualistic or commensal, make it possible for many reef
organisms to survive, and they are the topic of this article.
Whether it's a clownfish and an anemone; a shrimp from the genus Thor and an Euphyllia spp. a
shrimp from the genera Periclimenes or a crab from the genus and an urchin, nudibranch or
anemone; an alpheid shrimp and a goby or a cleaner shrimp from the Lysmata or Stenopus genera
and a fish that employs their services, these symbiotic animals make for some of the most
interesting displays in the home aquarium.
Symbiosis – What is It? Symbiosis describes a relationship between two organisms, and there are a
variety of different symbiotic relationships that can be observed on the reef. They are:
* Mutualistic
* Commensal ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In mutualistic relationships both organisms benefit from the relationship, while in commensal
relationships, only one organism benefits while the other neither benefits nor suffers. For starters,
Nemo and marlin live in an anemone. Clown fish and anemones help each other survive. There's the
scene in the aquarium with the little 'shrimp' who cleans Nemo up when he's put into the tank. I can't
remember if they showed anything of that in Nemo but I imagine they probably at some point
showed Cleaner fish, which are little fish that pick parasites off of larger

Physalia Phsyalis: The Floating Terror
Few animals inspire such fear as Physalia Physalis, and because of this, it is aptly named "the
Floating Terror". This unique Cnidarian is easily mistakable for one of many jellyfish species.
However, it falls under the Siphonophorae order. There are only around one hundred species of
Siphonophore on the planet, most living deep within the ocean. Two of these strange creatures are a
part of the Physaliidae family: Physalia Utriculus and Physalia Physalis, the latter of which being
the focus of this paper. As a siphonophore, the Physalis, while appearing to be a single organism, is
actually made up of many highly specialized cell–like micro–organisms, called zooids, living
together in one group. These groups are known as "colonies". Colonial organisms may have
different specialized cells, like Homo Sapiens for example, but each of these cells can feasibly live
on its own as an independent zooid. This makes them incredibly unique but also hard to study and
understand. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Dactylozooids form these tentacles that hang into the waters below at an average depth of 10 meters
and are used to ward off any predators, and capture any prey. Since dactylozooids can survive alone,
they become a real danger as deadly, toxic cnidocytes can wash ashore and injury or even kill
beachgoers. Physalis toxin is extremely potent because they must paralyze their prey instantly if
they are to have a chance to digest it. The tentacles are also pigmented blue as a camouflage in the
blue sea water. Young fish, eel, larvae or really any animal that passes through the tentacles is stung
and, if small enough, brought closer to the body for digestion. Digestion is a fairly simple process in
which the tentacles contract bringing whatever was captured closer to the gastrozooids that lie just
below the upper pneumatophores. Enzymes released by gastrozooids break down the food and
distribute energy throughout the body to all other

How To Create A Dystopian

  • 1. How To Create A Dystopian I finished packing my bags and walked outside my house. I pulled out my good luck dragan, Benji. This will be the perfect gift to Harry, I thought. I brought my bags to the car. "Finished load up?" Harry asked. I nodded as I put my suitcase in the trunk. We walked to the front of house to exchange gifts. "Happy 5th Anniversary, Janet." "Same to you. Here's your gift, Harry," I said as I pulled out Benji out of my pocket and handed it to Harry. "Cool! I love dragons, but I read that this tiny dragon–" "His name is Benji," I interrupted. "Ok. I think Benji is cursed," Harry said. "They say Benji was once ruled the sea, but mermaids came and took over. Benji was banished by them, he promised he would seek revenge towards humans. He befriended ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The curse is real," Harry said, struggling to stand. He dropped the bottle as we feel on our backs when another tentacle arrived. This tentacle picked up Harry and pulled him down into the water. "Janet!" Harry cried. "Harry!" I yelled as he was sucked into the blue waves. I picked up the bottle and tried to regain my balance. The tentacles threw the boat with me in it. I flew across the sky and crashed into the water, never to see the light again. ****** I woke up on the shore facing the midnight sky. Is this all a dream? I thought. I stood up and looked around me. I saw broken pieces of wood and a note in a bottle. I looked for bright lights from buildings, but the only light I saw came from the silver moon. I walked to the bottle and picked it up. That horrible nightmare of tentacles can't be real, can it? What if it's Benji? Nah, probably not. I unscrewed the top and unrolled the note. It can't be real! It can't be real! I read the letter. To my love, This is the lucky number five. I just want to tell you, no matter what, I will always be there for you. I will always love you. I will always be right next to you, even if I'm gone. Happy 5th Anniversary, darling. May our love be endless. Love, Harry Jefferson ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 3. Compare And Contrast Squid And Octopus Kiera L. Bethel Mr. Taulbee English 2 20 December 2016 Squids vs. Octopus The ocean animals I am going to compare are octopus and squid. I am comparing these two things because they are unique ocean creatures. I think that it is interesting how they both catch their prey, and how they live. It is also really interesting to learn what they eat and how they do things. The first thing I am comparing is an octopus to a squid. An octopus has 8 tentacles, and uses all of them to catch their prey. They live in dens on the seafloor. Octopus lose their outer shell and get a new one back. They also have a round head. Octopus lifespan is 3–5 years. It has two eyes and four pairs of arms, and like other cephalopods, it is bilaterally symmetric. It has a beak, with its mouth at the center point of the arms. They feed mainly on worms, crabs, whelks and clams. The giant Pacific octopus feeds on shrimp, clams, lobsters, and fish, and even larger prey, such as sharks and birds. It has a beak, with its mouth at the center points of the arms. Octopuses are ocean creatures that are most famous for having eight arms and bulbous heads. They squirt ink to deter predators; and being boneless, they can squeeze into (or out of) tight spaces. The water depth in which they live ranges from the shallow, coastal waters to about about 330 feet deep. The ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Some of them position themselves in the direction of the currents in order to catch food that flows by, with their open tentacles. At other times, sea cucumbers may use their tentacles to sift through the sediments on the bottom floor. The sea cucumber has a very primitive digestive system. It has a pharynx that lies behind the mouth, surrounded by a ring of ten calcareous plates. For some sea cucumbers, this makes up only a substantial part of their skeleton, and forms the point of attachment for muscles that can retract the tentacles into the body for safety and for the main muscles that are part of the body wall. Many species of the sea cucumbers have an oesophagus and a stomach, but for others, the pharynx opens directly into the intestine, and therefore, lacks these structures. The intestine is usually long and coiled, and is looped through the body at least three times before in end in a cloacal chamber, or in some species, directly as the anus. When it feeds, the sea cucumber will extend its tentacles, covered with sticky mucus, into the water

However, less often they can be found in the form of flat plates or thick crusts (Great Star Coral, n.d.).. These colonies of coral grow to be up to 2.5 m in diameter. The color of Astraea can vary between green, brown, gray, orange, and red; the coral is more often bright red and orange during the day due to a cyanobacterial protein, which is an essential source of nitrogen (EDGE: Coral Reef Species, 2008). They only move very slightly in an almost, floating–like manner. Astraea can be found in almost all reef environments, and it is usually the most dominant coral at depths between 12 and 30 m (Kluijver, n.d.). These are often the most sedimented areas of the reef, which is where the Astraea thrive, due to their build. The colonies have very steep sides, which allows the sediment to simply, roll off the coral. If there is still sediment that settles into the colony, the polyps will produce waves of movement to remove them. Once again, if this technique is unsuccessful, the polyps will ... These filaments help direct food into a central mouth, and then the food is digested into a sac–like body cavity (Boulder Star Coral, 2010). These organisms range in color from brown/beige to fluorescent pink, purple, and green on the outer tentacles, while the inner tentacles vary from white to a creamy hue. These creatures are native to the seabeds of the coastal waters of the Indo–Pacific, however these organisms are becoming increasingly common in the sandy seafloor along the Californian coast. The sandy seafloor that these creatures call home looks barren to the naked eye, but is actually home to millions of organisms. It is just under 100% water, this jellyfish does not have a heart, brain, bones, or blood. Its kingdom is animalia, phylum is cnidaria, class is scyphozoa, order is semaeostomeae, family is pelagiidae, and its genius is chrysaora. The compass jellyfish lives in cold or temperate waters. This Jellyfish lives in the coastal waters of the Mediterranean ocean, the northeast Atlantic ocean, and coastal regions of South Africa. Also can be found near the United Kingdom and Turkey waters, but mostly found in the Irish, Celtic, and North seas. They range between being 2m to 30m underwater but it would be uncommon for them to go deeper than that. Adults can be seen just under the surface of the water but when the current picks up, they dive deeper and can be find near the seabed. On the UK coast you can mostly see them between the months of July through October. This jellyfish has a yellowish/white, circular/saucer shaped bell. If you do not have vinegar, peeing on it will help the least. Vinegar takes the toxins of the sting out which will help release the pain the wound is causing. Compass Jellyfish Research Paper The compass jellyfish, also called the Chrysaora hysoscella, has a round, saucer like smooth bell– shaped body which is about 8 inches in diameter and can grow up to 15. They are very common and distinguishable from other jellyfish due to the yellowish white bell with brown v–shaped marks running from the center to the outer edges of the jellyfish. It also has 24 long stinging tentacles, in eight groups of three, coming out from the rim that alternate eight sensory organs. The mouth, is located underneath the center of the bell, and is encircled by four arms. These jellyfish can live in cold and moderate waters of the ocean between 4–28 degrees Celsius. They can usually live/be found by the coast in continental shelf regions like the Atlantic and Mediterranean (United Kingdom and Turkey). Adult compass fish can usually be found near the surface of the water, however, when the currents toward the surface are too strong for them; they tend to move to deeper waters, although it is scarce for them to be located below 30m but drift deeper if they feel threatened by a predator. • 16. Blue Bottle Jellyfish it has a blue float made of a flat, circular disc with many gas–filled tubes which keep it afloat. The disc is surrounded by tiny blue tentacles. The Blue Button is, in fact, a colony made up of different types of polyps, including some that are specialised for catching food, defense, or reproduction. Size: its disc is up to 2.5 cm across. Behaviour Diet: small marine animals such as copepods, crab larvae and tiny fish fry. Its tentacles kill prey with their sting and then move the food to its mouth, which is on the underside of its disc. Movement: it floats freely in the water, and is moved along by ocean currents and wind. Breeding: Blue buttons are hermaphrodites (i.e. both male and female). The specialised reproductive polyps release both eggs and sperm into the water. When the eggs have been fertilised by the sperm, they develop into larvae that subsequently metamorphose into individual polyps. Box Jellyfish Research Paper Nolan Hall GW 140 20 February 2012 Box Jellyfish: Nothing Square About It For many people, water is a source of relaxation and comfort, while others believe that it can be dangerous and deceiving, but often times people do not look at what lives among it. Whether it is a body of fresh water, or a body of salt water, many creatures lurk among the depths of seas, oceans, lakes, and rivers without gaining the attention of human beings. With this, a plethora of sea creatures that tend to remain hidden can harm human beings. People believe that sharks are the deadliest sea creature on the planet, however, this is a false statement. Sharks are most known for their terrifying attacks on humans, but they lack the qualities of a deadly creature. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... As for the blue–ringed octopus, this animal can somewhat compare to a sea wasp when it comes to staying hidden. The blue–ringed octopus can control its dermal cells, allowing it to camouflage itself in the rocks and reefs throughout their respective oceans. Also, the size of the octopus helps its case against box jellies, being that the blue–ringed octopus is no bigger than a golf ball (Barnett). But this could hurt the octopus if it is looked at from another viewpoint; the size of the box jellyfish and its tentacles are the reason that it is above the blue–ringed octopus in lethality. The length of the box jellyfish allows it to inflict more damage, and release more venom than a blue–ringed octopus. By looking at box jellies from this perspective, they are clearly more deadly than their fellow dangerous sea creatures. With the possibilities of dying by way of cardiac arrest, heart failure, drowning, and Irukandji Syndrome, box jellies have many ways to kill a human being. These aquatic devils have been on record for killing people around the Australian area since 1884. In 2003, a seven year–old boy swimming on an unprotected beach near Cairns, Australia, was stung by a sea wasp. The boy immediately screamed in pain while his grandfather pulled him out of the water. A main source of ads can be found in magazines. Magazines are always crammed full of the latest fads, the newest products, and the best tools. Outdoor Life , edited by Andrew Mckean, is a magazine that targets men, around the ages of 20–40, with tips, stories, and products involved with the outdoor ways. This includes anything and everything involved with fishing, hunting, boating and enjoyment of nature. Some ads try to sell guns, reels, knives, and gloves. In the mix of these ads, there is a Progressive ad selling insurance. The picture presents Progressive's employee, Flo. She is humorously fighting a monstrous octopus underwater. Sharks are born with many gifts to help make it a suc–cessful predator in the deep sea. Sharks attack from under–neath their target and angle their snout above the target so the shark can then tear apart the prey. Unlike most hunters, Sharks teeth are structured in its gums. Sharks may have be–tween four to six rows of teeth for killer accuracy when going in for the kill. Sharks have the ability to regenerate new fully functional teeth like nothing. In a shark's lifetime, it can produce thousands and thousands of deadly razor–sharp teeth which makes it a very versatile species of underwater hunters. One bite from most of these teeth means a fatal wound for the unlucky prey being preyed upon. (Dozier 15). Another gift that sharks have is having a strong stomach that can eat just about anything. Sharks have a powerful stom–ach that can digest anything primarily for its ability to grow much larger than the original stomach it starts out with. Sharks have been reported eating portions of docks and even license plates. Another factor that may contribute to ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Spongebob Research Paper Hello, our names are Giselle Hinojosa, Jasmine Kamara, Jasmine Saldana, Andrea Romero, Daniel Perez, Ryan Booher, Peter Flory–Sanchez, Dominique Maxie, Ciara Sutton, and Xavier Macaraeg, and it is our pleasure to represent Spongebob Squarepants on this very important case. The defendant stands falsely accused of the second degree murder of Eugene H. Krabs. Ladies and gentlemen of the jury, our defendant stands here falsely accused of murder. The prosecution has indicated that our client's footprints were at the crime scene. There is a legitimate explanation to this. Prior to the death of Mr. Krabs, our client has worked at the establishment where the victim was murdered. Ladies and gentlemen, The defense will call upon two witnesses. The first, ... But this counter argument is invalid because Spongebob did not kill Mr. Krabs since he was playing with Patrick at the time Mr. Krabs was murdered. The third counter argument is that Spongebob still could have killed Mr. Krabs if he just went back into the Krusty Krab after Squidward had saw him but the thing is this didn't happened because Squidward would have seen Spongebob walk into the Krusty Krab. So this did not happen as seen in evidence #19, #20, #6. The last counter argument that would most likely be brought by the prosecution is that the only suspect could be Spongebob because he and Mr. Krabs were the only people in the Krusty Krab at the time of Mr. Krabs alarming scream, according to Squidward. However the rebuttal for this counter argument is that Squidward's relation with Spongebob reveals that Squidward Tentacles resents Mr. Squarepants, and would do anything to get rid of him. Squidward's timeline conflicts with Patrick Star's timeline, who is very naive than Mr. Tentacles, but wouldn't try and get rid of Spongebob by blaming him of murder. Mr. Star's testimony reveals that four hours before Mr. Krabs' death, Spongebob had been at his house. Although this is not mentioned, it can be assumed that this is true because of the fact that Mr. Krabs was depressed when talking to Mr. Star. He had stated,"I might never sell another Krabby ... • 58. It's Kind Of A Funny Story By Kidd Vizzini On April 2, 2006, Ned Vizzini's, It's Kind of a Funny Story, was published. This book is very well written, relatable for a lot of teens, and is all about Craig Gilner versus himself. Craig is a fifteen year old boy living in Brooklyn with his family of four, and all he wants is to succeed in life, if he doesn't kill himself first. He is depressed and pretty much hates his life, he wants to be normal. His best friend, Aaron, stole his crush, Nia, which makes him hate life even more. His stress eventually manifests itself in an eating disorder, use of pot, affected sleep habits, and suicidal thoughts. So, he admits himself to a nearby psychiatric hospital. "I'm fine. Well, I'm not fine –– I'm here." (Vizzini, 11) Many teens deal with stress themselves and cope in many different ways, and don't pay attention to what is going on within themselves because they are too busy just making sure they are doing what they are supposed to be doing. ... The "shift" is what Craig refers to as his brain moving back in place where it belongs so he won't be depressed anymore. • 60. Surrealism And Surrealism Impressionism is an art movement originating in France which ran between the 1860s until the 1890s. Famous artists of the genre include Claude Monet and Gustave Caillebotte. The movement is typically characterized by its sketch–like techniques and its use of bright vivid colors, giving the painting a bright look. Impressionism's sketch–like appearance allowed artists to paint the world imperfectly as to demonstrate an impression of what it looks like, which is where the name comes from. The tendency of impressionist artists was also to paint shadows with a more colorful appeal by replacing the blacks and greys by colors. As the form did not represent the reality of a landscape, it allowed artists to also represent the optical effects of light and diverge from the mainstream norm of the realism movement. Surrealism is an art movement which ran between the 1920s until World War 2. Major artists of the movement include André Breton, Salvador Dalí, René Magritte and Sigmund Freud whose work on human psychology has served as major inspiration for the movement. Surrealism can be recognized by its attempt to create an extremely fictional world and does not portray ours. Subjects in surrealist paintings seem very out of place and would not appear in that landscape in the real world. The practice of this movement draws heavily from Freud's research on the nature of the human subconscious and attempts to draw a painting of the surrealistic nature of dreams and human fantasy. A deadly sea creature hundreds of feet tall mounting its eight tentacles across an infatuating, yet intriguing ship, and then ultimately crushing its sailors into the mile–driven sea? Or, in many cases, one pictures a bulging brain and eight tentacles mounting itself onto an innocent prey and indifferently, engulfing until destruction. Yikes, how graphic! Suitably, thanks to modern technology, many of these perceptions have been distorted by a conclusive, yet ambiguous hypothesis– octopuses are deadly. Inconclusively, the nature of the octopus – Octopus vulgaris – is an extremely inquisitive and mitigated species. Although, the Nomeus Gronovii, a type of small fish, lives in the tentacles of the Man of War to feed off of it and for protection. In groups of 1,000 or more, they travel by the winds and currents for movement through the warm waters. For their life cycle, they reproduce in the fall and the eggs and sperm are fertilized by external fertilization. They are hermaphrodites that contain both eggs and sperm. After that stage, they transform into larva, the change into a polyp, and then they detach themselves from the budding polyp to become the creatures that there are today. Also during this process, Gonozooids make individual cells from asexual division which will contain all three parts, (the gastroderm, epidermis, and the mesoglea). Due to this reproduction, they are not endangered; but they are difficult to study since they do not do well in captivity. Also, they are difficult to find and study since the colors on their bodies absorb UV light that would normally kill most animals, but on their bodies, it acts as a sunscreen. Thus, allowing for them to survive. The Portuguese Man of War shows a prime example of how an animal can adapt to become an evolutionary success. Being in the hydrozoa group, they are a siphonophore that uses venom as a defense, eat small fish and marine animals, can reproduce by itself, live in most parts of the ocean. Currently, they are extremely difficult to tag and learn more information about them. Making these Blue Bottles, hardy and cunning ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

This includes what they are, how the venom works, its life cycle, its common diet and its habits, and also to find out why the combination of its venom, physiology, and feeding habits made them dangerous to humans. Introduction Jellyfish are marine animals that has a gelatinous bell and tentacles, which can be used to capture prey. It belongs to the phylum cnidaria, which generally has polyp and medusa stage in their life, and has stinging organs called cnidocytes that contains another organ called nematocyst, which contains venom. While most jellyfish are venomous, most of them are non–lethal to humans. However, some jellyfish can produce venoms potent enough that it can kill a human. One such class of jellyfish are the box jellyfish. Whether it's competing for space, food or the opportunity to reproduce, the tropical reef is not quite the home sweet home Disney portrayed in Finding Nemo. While Disney may have been sloppy in terms of ecological accuracy and animal behavior, the movie did highlight some of the more interesting symbiotic reef relationships (e.g. Jacques or Nemo himself). These symbiotic relationships, whether mutualistic or commensal, make it possible for many reef organisms to survive, and they are the topic of this article. Whether it's a clownfish and an anemone; a shrimp from the genus Thor and an Euphyllia spp. a shrimp from the genera Periclimenes or a crab from the genus and an urchin, nudibranch or anemone; an alpheid shrimp and a goby or a cleaner shrimp from the Lysmata or Stenopus genera and a fish that employs their services, these symbiotic animals make for some of the most interesting displays in the home aquarium. This unique Cnidarian is easily mistakable for one of many jellyfish species. However, it falls under the Siphonophorae order. There are only around one hundred species of Siphonophore on the planet, most living deep within the ocean. Two of these strange creatures are a part of the Physaliidae family: Physalia Utriculus and Physalia Physalis, the latter of which being the focus of this paper. As a siphonophore, the Physalis, while appearing to be a single organism, is actually made up of many highly specialized cell–like micro–organisms, called zooids, living together in one group. These groups are known as "colonies". Colonial organisms may have different specialized cells, like Homo Sapiens for example, but each of these cells can feasibly live on its own as an independent zooid. This makes them incredibly unique but also hard to study and understand. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
