Personal Profile Carmen Torrijos
That’s me.
 My name is Carmen.
 I teach English at IES “Castillo del Aguila” in
Villaluenga de la Sagra, Toledo
 I’ve been teaching English there for 20 years.
 I love English, I enjoy teaching; I am very fond of
my students.
 I feel like starting this course and learning new
useful things to improve myself and my lessons.
Three things I’d like to improve in Teaching
Practice
 COMMUNICATE: to connect with students, all of
them.
 SHARE: Dynamic lessons where students take part
and collaborate.
 INNOVATE: break ground, updating and adapting to
new ways in Teaching Practice.
Two difficulties in Teaching Practice
 FORMATIVE SHORTAGE: Lack of training in
many subjects: Core Curriculum, Multilingual
Stage, ITC use, Classroom Management, Care
in the student’s different skills evolution,…
 MOTIVATION: in both, STUDENTS: problems
for catching their interest and TEACHERS: how
to motivate themselves ( because of
administrative papework)
One positive issue in Teaching Practice
 Two come to my mind:
 DAILY EXCITEMENT, every day is different
 LEARNING: time after time

  • 2. That’s me.  My name is Carmen.  I teach English at IES “Castillo del Aguila” in Villaluenga de la Sagra, Toledo  I’ve been teaching English there for 20 years.  I love English, I enjoy teaching; I am very fond of my students.  I feel like starting this course and learning new useful things to improve myself and my lessons.
  • 3. Three things I’d like to improve in Teaching Practice  COMMUNICATE: to connect with students, all of them.  SHARE: Dynamic lessons where students take part and collaborate.  INNOVATE: break ground, updating and adapting to new ways in Teaching Practice.
  • 4. Two difficulties in Teaching Practice  FORMATIVE SHORTAGE: Lack of training in many subjects: Core Curriculum, Multilingual Stage, ITC use, Classroom Management, Care in the student’s different skills evolution,…  MOTIVATION: in both, STUDENTS: problems for catching their interest and TEACHERS: how to motivate themselves ( because of administrative papework)
  • 5. One positive issue in Teaching Practice  Two come to my mind:  DAILY EXCITEMENT, every day is different  LEARNING: time after time
