1. Technology over the years has become
increasingly important to people in their
everyday lives. This is because they rely on
technology and it helps them get on with
everyday life.
How does technology
impact our lives?

2.  Blogger has been a massive resource which we have used in our Media Studies.
It has been mainly used to store data from our planning and research resources
and can be used as data to make decisions for our Main Tasks both the Film and
the Album Advert.
 Whilst Using Blogger we did receive some problems as it was sometimes
unreliable and it lead to sometimes losing work which had been done
previously. Sometimes the website could crash so we made sure when we did
any type of work we always pressed save to back up the work and prevent
disappointment.

3. The ability to screenshot the work which had been done
previously was important. This is because it can help me with
giving examples of work i have seen which helps my research,
also it can help me demonstrate surveys and market research
which has been done to benefit my knowledge to make my
Media pieces the best that they can possibly be.

4. YouTube is used throughout my course on Blogger
especially on the research tasks. YouTube is helpful for
my research because of some of the videos i have
used to analyse and used some of the techniques in
my music video main task. Also YouTube has been
used for some of my tasks which i have uploaded
through YouTube. YouTube is good because it is free
internet technology which is a good way to share
media through and also learn from other music
videos.

5.  I sometimes experienced problems
through YouTube, sometimes the
links would not embed into
Blogger effectively however that
may have been a problem with the
computer or even with Blogger so
apart from that YouTube was
extremely effective.

6.  Google was extremely important
in all aspects of research,
planning and evaluation they
were used in our research to
back up certain points and make
viewing of our blogs look more
interesting.
 However we did receive a few
problems, this was mainly
because some of the images
were small and this meant that
when enlarged it would be
extremely pixelated and
therefore we could not use
certain images.
 Although this was extremely rare
and this meant that we could rely
on Google images to provide us
with sources of information
which proved reliable and rarely
was an issue.

7.  Planning was an extremely
important part of our blog. This is
where i would record all of my data
and information which we
gathered which allowed me to
determine and refer to examples of
our target audience in our research
to target the audience.

8.  Wikipedia was good because
it gives an in depth view of
someone who has good
knowledge, it offers a wide
range of information from
numerous different sources.
 It was also very good
because information was
extremely easily accessible
and always reliable if looking
in the right places.
 This source of information
was very good and this was
used throughout the course.
It was used mainly because
finding information from
people from other sites was
jumbled and sometimes
hard to understand.

9. AZ Lyrics helped us analyse the
song which we used for our
planning of the Music video.
We annotated lyrics and could
get ideas which lead to
decisions which were made by
the group. Some of the lyrics
lead to us making direct
connections to scenes and also
lead to us establishing
conventions which matched
the lyrics which was good
when we were planning.

10. Phones were extremely important for our media and
our planning. The most important part of the planning
was the team meetings which helped us establish
some conventions, mise en scene, settings and also
certain shots which were important to our final
product and made it what it was today.

11. The pie chart creator was a very good piece
of technology and it was used successfully
in all aspects of the planning and it was also
good to explain the ways in which the
audiences reacted to our questions and also
the market research aspect of the band.
However the software did pose one minor
problem and this was because the software
would not let the image of the pie chart to
be directly put into blogger and this would
lead to a long winded method of having to
print screen the image and this was the
minor problem with the software.

13. I have used different computers to do different things for my Media
project, Mac computers were good for the editing side of the
project. This is because they had programme's like final cut and
Photoshop which could be used better on a more creative Mac
computer. Where as windows computers are predominantly used for
the paperwork side of the project and for typing up ideas and plans
for our project.

14.  Final cut was one of the most
useful tools and this program was
important because without this
software it would be impossible
for us to put together the clips
and also put the special effects
over the top of the videos which
we have recorded. However Final
cut caused my group some
problems at times, this is due to
the slow speed at which the
effects render over the top of
video clips. In other words the
program was sometimes slow
and this reflected in the amount
of time it took us to complete our
video. To speed up the process of
the video it would be important
for us to clear memory off the
computer therefore data may
have loaded quicker.

15.  Photo shop is a piece of software
which was used for our digipaks
and album adverts which was
part of the main tasks. This was a
good piece of software because
it allows us to edit our digipak
and album advert successfully
and helps us to professionally use
an editing programme.
 The problem was with Photoshop
was that if you have never used
the programme before it means
that you have to make yourself
known to the software which is
extremely difficult to use and if
you do not know the software or
do not know someone who does
then it could be near impossible
to function all of the features
without assistance.

17.  Movie maker was the best
programme to use to do our
evaluation tasks which
incorporated images and also
voiceovers. This software was
easy to understand and a lot of
people know how to function
it, this means that doing work
is not problematic in terms of
technological knowledge.
 The problems with movie
maker however are that the
programme contains lots of
pictures and also voice overs
and these have to be
transferred between computers
when doing work at home and
then at school. This poses a
difficulty because sometimes
there is some files missing so
you cannot edit the Evaluation
questions.

18.  Prezi is a software which
helps to develop peoples
presentation skills when you
are using technology. Prezi is
good because it allows you
to do an entertaining
presentation which allows
you to insert video clips and
also pictures with a mixture
of text sometimes there is
problems with the software
due to it crashing because of
the large file size.
 Another positive of Prezi is
that it is extremely easy to
embed the final product
from the evaluation
question into the blog.
