The filmmaker has progressed significantly with the editing of their short film, completing 'fill in the gap' scenes and adding transitions for flow. However, there are concerns about the total length being at 6 minutes with three scenes left to film, aiming for a final duration of 10-15 minutes. Additionally, a screen recording of the editing process was accidentally deleted, causing frustration as it documented important changes.

Today I have edited my short film up to date, what I mean by this is the only clips I need
to film are the next scenes in the short film. I have filmed and edited the “fill in the gap”
scenes which means my short film is starting to make sense. I am incredibly happy with
the progress I am making with this short film and how it is becoming what I have
envisioned it to be.
While I was editing today, I was screen recording, in that screen recording you would of
saw that I was moving selected clips away from the other ones; this was because I was
adding in additional clips. These were the only clips I was adding in as I have not filmed
any updated content yet, but I am going to soon. I also added in default transitions in for
when I feel like I needed them. I have added these in a lot throughout my short film and
this is because I personally feel like they make the short film flow correctly and it makes
the next scene gradually go into it.
I have had two issues while editing today and one is I am already at 6 minutes, and I
have 3 scenes left to film. I wanted my short film to be in the bracket of 10-15 minutes. I
do feel like I can make this happen, but I do not want to be overconfident. I have noticed
there is a scene I could not include as it is relevant, but I do want the short film to be
focused on her, and this scene takes this away. As this is the case, I am thinking of
removing this scene and continuing the short film from the scene after.
Another issue was I accidentally deleted the screen recording and I am unsure if I can
get it back. As this was a screen recording it means I cannot re film it because I have
already made the changes. This is annoying as I was producing a lot of different editing
and sorting out in this screen recording and now, I cannot show that I can only tell you
that. Luckily, in the next screen recording or even draft you will see these changes
either on the timeline or when I am watching over the clips.
