Model, and Prop Organisation
and Photoshoot Planning
By Callum Hemmings
Choosing my Model
• For choosing my model, I wanted someone
who is reliable and comfortable in front of the
camera. I also wanted someone who knows
what they are doing with camera work so I
always have a second opinion when I need
one. I obviously want a friend to be my model
as I will be more comfortable with a friend .
My Model
• My Model will be my friend Adam. This is
because we have both helped each other in
photoshoots before so we can do the same
thing now. He also does photography, so he is
a very good second opinion on shots and
camera angles. We are also the same age so
we both have similar ideas on how to
approach themes and design.
Organisation
I obviously need my models consent to do
the shoot, so that I have his consent to take
photos of him and so that we can get the
shoot organised. I sent him a message
through Facebook to organise the shoot.
Confirmation
• Because now I have his consent, I will message
him closer to the time explaining what
location I have chosen for the shoot, meaning
I need to contact the university.
Prop Organisation
• For Props, I decided to get things Film related.
Naturally this would involve a camera, so I
plan to ask my model Adam to bring his
camera so we can use it as a prop. I have a old
film clapperboard as a prop from a holiday to
Disneyland. I can use these to make good film
related pictures.
Organisation (Prop)
Obviously I need his permission to use his
camera as a prop so when I contacted him
about the shoot, I asked him about his
camera as well, so now I have everything
organised.
