1. Concept
• This power point will outline what my project will be
on and how I am going to do it. I will be making a
magazine of a specific genre. It must have a unique
selling point and have some specific competitors in the
genre that it is on.
• The magazines that I will try and compete with, will be
the likes of Q, Vide, hip hop connection and XXL.
• My target market will be 17 to 25 year old males. This
is because of the language that may be used in the
magazine because it is usually mentioned in the songs
by the artists.

2. Genre
• My magazine will be a Hip Hop/Rap genre,
because it was the second most selected
option, the first being other, so there was no
specific genre to choose.
• I have also chosen it because Bauer Media®
has got a lack of magazines from this genre.
There are mo competitors for a high range rap
magazine in this specific publishing house.
