Bauer Publishing would be interested in the magazine because it would fill genres they currently do not publish - a rap-based magazine or one with a multi-genre focus. IPC Media already publishes a rival magazine to NME but it does not share the same genre or sub-genre focus. Conde Nast would be a rival in terms of price point but their magazines like Vogue target different audiences, making the male audience more available for this new magazine.

got no other magazines that are rap based.
They have also not got any magazines that
have a multi genre so my magazine will be one
of a kind in their eyes.

• This brand has got rival magazine such as NME
which competes on the price, being quite
expensive but it doesn’t have the same
genre, unless the sub-genre from my
magazine is rock.

4. Conde Nast
• Conde Nast is also a rival in the price range
because they are very expensive and they
have got magazines like vogue, which could
rival me for the female audience but will be
easier to beat, so the male audience will be
more likely to buy my magazine.
