Rift
• I like this name because it implies that there is
a gap between normal music and rap music.
This is also short and simple and it will fit
perfectly in with my genre which is rap.
3. Idea 2
The Edge
• This one is my personal second favourite
although it doesn’t sound very professional as
I think it sounds like someone that had to
design a magazine just chose it randomly
because it sounds good.
4. Idea 3
The Throne
• This one works because it has a reference to
one of the most well known rap albums called
‘watch the throne’ by Jay Z and Kanye West.
This is obviously making it a rap album
5. Idea 4
Curtain Call
• Again I have used the idea of an album name and
this time it is from a rapper that is very well
known, and that is Eminem. His work is
worldwide so I could sell the magazine under this
name where ever because people would get the
reference.

Snoop
• I took the idea of using an Album name for my
magazine and developed the idea of using an
artists name instead. This time I have used half of
the rapper ‘Snoop Lion’s name, because he is a
very well known rapper and many people will get
the reference.
7. Typography idea 1
Stencil
• I like this typography because it has got quite a
masculine shape to it, which should appeal to my
target audience. It has also got a look that could
be associated with the rap industry as it looks like
the writing on a prison uniform and this could be
associated with gangs which are stereotypically
rappers.
8. Typography idea 2
Casteller
• I like this font because it is quite simple but would
stand out from a smorgasbord of other
magazines. It is also giving the impression of fame
and fortune which is again associated with
Rappers because they stereotypically rap about
money.
9. Typography idea 3
Wide Latin
• I like this one because it has got a bold look to it
and rappers are not exactly seen as subtle. This
will also lead to a more vibrant effect on the
reader because when they are looking for a
magazine they will automatically be drawn to the
one with the brightest colours and the boldest
fonts.
10. Typography idea 4
Engravers MT
• I like this font because if I put a texture on it I
could make it look like it had been stamped into
the front cover, although there is a major
stumbling block in the way of using this
one, which is that it is very similar to
Vogue, which could work in my favour as it could
be picked up by mistake and the viewer may be
interested in it.
