- 5. What do the‘indie’ genre do with their time? According to social media websites like: Weheartit, Tumblr and Instagram when searching for ‘indie’ this is what my results were.
- 6. Indie The images Ihave found suggest that the ‘indie’ genre are heavily influenced by smoking and alcohol. They also suggest they also have a keen interest in: art, photography, literature, fashion, socialising, music, going to music gigs, festivals, piercings and body art. This shows that a majority of the ‘indie’ genre are working class or in education such as college or university, due to their interests. They appear to have a ‘laid back’, ‘care free’ approach to life and live for the moment. A genre of upper class or middle class, would have some similar interests such as, alcohol and socialising, art and literature and music, but wouldn’t necessarily share the same ‘carefree’ work ethic.
