Learning outcome 3 #HASHTAGS
 Use hashtags effectively to connect with other people and reach a larger
targeted audience
 Write the # then your word or number combination
 Do not use special characters (!*) or spaces in a hashtag; only_underscore will
keep the tag ‘live’
 Make sure you leave a space BEFORE the hashtag – otherwise it will not be
‘live’
 Is the tag a ‘guessable’ word?
 A side comment or note? A highlight? An event tag?
 Ask for the ‘official hashtag’ if you are attending an event and stick to it
 MAXIMUM OF 2 HASHTAGS on a tweet (more looks like spam)
