4. What is TenMarks
A web-based program to use during
Response to Intervention (RTI).
Provides students with higher level questioning
about concepts already taught along with
new concepts.
Students can complete assignments and
assessments.
If students do not meet the standard, they will
be directed to an assignment to help them.
Teachers can track student performance.
5. How to Log-in
Audio: This is the log-in screen that you will see on your computer screen after going to
Tenmarks.com. The district has already set each teacher up with log-in information, you
will use the same log-in information as your computer log-in.
1. Go to
www.tenmarks.c
om
2. Use your
computer log-in
information to
sign on.
6. How to create a class
You can create one big class, or you
can create a class for each class
period. Just make sure you name it
so you know what it represents.
Make sure you pick your grade
level to have access to the
correct standards.
Audio: You will click on “Create a Class” on the main screen. You will choose the grade
level which is important to be able to provide you with the standards that you will need to
assign to your students. After choosing your grade level, you can name your first class.
Once the class is named you may add student names to the class list to create an account
for them.
8. Class Log-in Information
Audio: After creating a class and adding student names to a list, a page will be generated
for you with all the student log-on information like the picture shown here. Keep this paper
somewhere incase a student forgets his or her log-on information.
9. Creating an Assignment
Audio: When creating an assignment you can click on the assignment tab at the top of the screen. You will
then chose which class you would like to assign the assignment to. Unfortunately you can only assign it to
one class at a time. This is why you may choose to put all of your students in one class when creating
classes. After selecting the class you will choose either a standard or a topic in which you would like
included in the assignment. The program will automatically generate for you an assignment. You may
preview it before assigning it.
An assignment
can be used as
a learning tool.
Students can
watch videos
and learn new
concepts.
10. Creating an Assessment
Audio: When creating an assessment you will click
on the assessment tab on the top of the page next
to assignment. Again, you will have to choose
which class you would like to assign it to. You will
name the assessment, select a due date for it and
choose the standards in which you want the
assessment to cover. You will be allowed to
preview the assessment before you assign it if you
choose to do so.
Assessments will test student
learning and automatically assign
assignments that will help them
with areas where they did not
meet the standard.
11. Create an assignment or
assessment and assign it
to the students in the
sample class you just
created.
12. After Assigning Work
Audio: After assigning student work students
may log on and begin completing
assignments and assessments. Their screen
will display everything that you have assigned
to them and they may choose which they
would like to work on. It is important to
remember that they can complete an
assessment before even attempting the
assignment.
These are the
assignments and
assessments that
have been
assigned to the
students. This is
where they
choose what
they will work on.
13. Example Question
Audio: Here is an example question that students may receive. If they
are unsure of how to do the question they may click the link to the right
and ask for hints or watch a video on how a question like this could be
answered.
Hints
Videos
14. Grading
Audio: After completing the assignment or assessment, students will be
given a score such as the one displayed on this screen. As the
teacher, you will also be sent these results where you can see how
many they got correct and incorrect, along with how many hints and
videos they used while completing it.
15. Student Data
Audio: Data can be viewed per student or as a class. It will be broken down by
assignment. You can see what the student score was, how many hints and
videos they watched and the teacher can see how long they took on the
assignment.
