I have chosen my actor due to the fact that he is from a working class
male which represents the genre of my music which is grime. The fact
my actor is also mixed race my music will not be directed at one certain
ethnicity meaning my audience is going to make it easier for them to
relate to him. Also the use of branded clothing it represents and fits in
with the genre of grime. I have chosen the branded clothing due to the
fact it shows wealth and power which will help my artist gain respect
from the audience.
As can be seen in the image above the respected and very popular
grime artist stormzy is wearing the branded clothing of Adidas, this will
be similar to my artist. I also want my artist to be in dark clothing to
represent the dark meaning behind the music which is usually
presented in grime music.
The props needed for my artist will only be clothing and
potentially a gold chain. This is due to the fact that I
believe I will be able to represent my artist through the use
of the photo and its surroundings to give a good reputation
of my artist and the theme. In the photo I want my artist
just too act normal with normal facial expressions to show
the fact that my artist is a working class citizen and is on the
2. same level as his audience and is able to be relatable with
them.
This is my artist, his name is Chris Reynolds, and originally is from
America and has a dual-citizenship and moved to Birmingham within 1
year. Also he is currently studying at Ringwood sixth form.
