Learn in this webinar how St. Petersburg College’s Innovation Lab managed to incorporate the STEAM education framework via their well-received and grant supported Maker Boot Camp. In the first Maker Boot Camp, children between 10 and 14 years old learned video game design, how to build a synthesizer and control sounds/voltage with littleBits, 3D design/printing, robotics, basic circuitry and electronics, virtual reality, creating holograms, and more. Technology has extremely changed in recent times; for example, desktop and laptop computers are being replaced by smartphones, tablets and smartwatches in everyday life. However, this change is not being reflected on the way UI prototypes are generated. Viewing this problem from an I&E perspective gives us a clearer idea of what this can mean: there are no adequate tools to effectively paper-prototype for mobile devices. In order to solve this problem, I am currently working at Telekom Innovation Laboratories on my Master Thesis Project, which is about ways to improve the user interaction with a tabletop computing system designed to paper-prototype for mobile devices. Thus, in this thesis, I am going to perform both a market and a competitor analysis for the environment which my Major Thesis is based on. Afterwards, I will illustrate the business idea and explain the value proposition that differentiates my solution from the other products listed in the Competitor Analysis, proving how my proposal should take advantage of the market differentiation. Finally, I will describe the initial steps of the business idea itself, explaining the reasons of the chosen target and introducing an initial pricing strategy for the product. I will conclude this Minor Thesis work by presenting my contributions to the Master Thesis Project.

Despite the concept of Digital Workplace being around for well over 10 years, the challenge it poses is far from solved for most organizations. If anything, companies have even more tools, more information chaos and more unclarity about channels, than they ever used to have before. And, maybe most importantly, employees are still not put at the center, where they belong. Internal Communications are so focused on key messages and channels that they tend to forget who they are actually doing this all for. IT is so busy with infrastructure projects and moving to the cloud that they can’t even be bothered with thinking about creating a Digital Employee Experience. In this situation many Internal Communications departments are even devolving in their approach to digital instruments, going back to first generation Intranets. Is this really what people need and want in the third decade of the 21st century? When I’m talking to employees at the companies I work with, a very different picture comes to the fore. While most people have never heard of concepts such as the Digital Workplace, Digital Experience Platforms or Digital Employee Experience, what they describe, when asked for the problems they are dealing with in their daily work, is exactly what these concepts stand for. Interestingly, the “Top 3” problems and potentials that people have been naming for a very long time have not changed at all. These key problems are still: • “I can’t find the information I need to do my job!” • “It’s hard to collaborate and exchange with other people outside my own area!” • “There are way too many systems I have to use to get my job done!” In this situation, Internal Communications needs to look at their own role and decide what part they want to play in the future of Digital Work. While there are many aspects to this decision, it basically boils down to this: Do you want to be in the driver’s seat for creating and managing tomorrow’s Digital Employee Experience or are you happy with just providing news to an instrument that will be run by someone else in the organization, who has assumed that role in your stead?

The idea for a minimum viable product might be quite simple, but often there are lots of dependencies and many stakeholder groups need to be involved. If you look at Business Model Innovation for example the key success factor is not only the value proposition itself, but more and more orchestrating the echo system. Which customer segments do we address via our channels. What key activities do we do ourselves and what does a partner or supplier? So, I'm working to extract them for Ruby 3.4 continuously and future versions. It's long journey for me. After that, some versions may suddenly happen LoadError at require when running bundle exec or bin/rails, for example matrix or net-smtp. We need to learn what's difference default/bundled gems with standard libraries. In this presentation, I will introduce what's the difficult to extract bundled gems from default gems and the details of the functionality that Ruby's require and bundle exec with default/bundled gems. The company Flutterwave is headquartered in San Francisco, California, United States. In 2016, Iyinoluwa Aboyeji, Olugbenga Agboola, and Adeleke Adekoya established Flutterwave. It offers a payment infrastructure to international merchants and payment service providers throughout Africa. The company operates in various African countries including Nigeria, Kenya, Uganda, Ghana, South Africa, and others. They focus on digital payments, helping businesses accept and process payments on various channels like the web, mobile, ATM, and POS. Recently, they’ve been in the news due to allegations of misconduct within the company, which has affected their reputation and value. Flutterwave is an essential player in the African fintech landscape, aiming to drive growth for banks and businesses through digital payment solutions. The Flutterwave scandal involves allegations of misconduct and inappropriate behaviour towards female employees by the company’s co-founder and CEO, Olugbenga Agboola. Reports have surfaced from both current and former employees about bullying, intimidation, and sexual harassment at work. The allegations of inappropriate behaviour towards female employees at Flutterwave, specifically involving the CEO Olugbenga Agboola, were brought to public attention in April 2022.This was when Clara Wanjiku Odero, an ex-employee and current CEO of Credrails, published a Medium post and a series of tweets on April 4, 2022, accusing Flutterwave and Agboola of bullying. These allegations were part of a broader range of misconduct claims that surfaced around the same time The reasons behind the scandal are rooted in accusations of unethical behavior within the company. The allegations suggest a workplace culture that allowed for misconduct and failed to protect employees from harassment and intimidation. Specifically, the Flutterwave scandal refers to the series of events where the CEO was accused of engaging in improper conduct with female colleagues. This led to a broader investigation into the company’s practices and raised serious concerns about the fintech’s corporate governance. The scandal had significant repercussions, including a drop in the company’s stock price and a loss of trust among customers and partners. The trust that customers and investors had in Flutterwave was greatly damaged. People started to doubt the company’s integrity and whether their money and personal information were safe. Market Impact The scandal shook the entire fintech market. Flutterwave’s competitors saw this as an opportunity and started to attract customers who were leaving Flutterwave.
