This document describes an IOT dune buggy robot that can be controlled over the internet from anywhere in the world. The robot uses an Arduino microcontroller along with a WiFi module to connect to cloud services and receive commands sent through a mobile app. The objective is to reduce human efforts by allowing remote control and surveillance through the robot. The robot's architecture connects the Arduino, WiFi module and sensors to the cloud where commands are sent from an Android app to control the robot's movement and stream data from its sensors.

IDC estimates that there will be 41.6 billion connected IoT devices by 2025, opening up opportunities for increased efficiencies and innovation across industries. Yet, lack of IoT security standards and typical processes such as shipping with default password credentials and manual onboarding leave devices, and the networks they operate on, open to large-scale attack. Last summer, the FIDO Alliance announced a new standards initiative to tackle these security issues in IoT. The Alliance’s IoT Technical Working Group aims to provide a comprehensive authentication framework for IoT devices in keeping with the fundamental mission of the Alliance – passwordless authentication. ROBOT ARM WITH SMARTPHONE CONTROL

This document describes the development of a robotic arm that can be controlled by a smartphone application via Bluetooth. The robotic arm was designed with 6 servo motors to allow movement in four directions (left, up, down, right) at specified angles. An Arduino UNO microcontroller was used to program and control the robotic arm. A smartphone application was developed and linked to the Arduino via Bluetooth to enable remote control of the robotic arm from a smartphone. Testing showed the robotic arm could successfully communicate with the smartphone but faced performance limitations due to the underpowered servo motors used. Upgrading to stronger servo motors was recommended to improve performance.
