Job responsibilities :
• Manage and oversee complete operation of power plant and responsible for Safe, economic and
uninterrupted power generation ensuring safety of personnel and equipment.
• Monitor the Critical Parameters of both Boilers & Turbines and report abnormalities to Head of
Department.
• Monitor the Critical Parameters of Coal Handling Plant and report abnormalities to Head of
Department.
• Monitor the Critical Parameters of Ash Handling Plant, Water Treatment plant, Air Cooled
Condenser Units and report abnormalities to Head of Department.
• Cold / Hot start up, Planned/Unplanned shutdown /start-up of Boilers & Turbines, Normal Operation
and Emergency Handling.
• Power Wheeling and selling to grid.
• Line up of the unit and its auxiliaries, periodic changeover of equipments, routine testing of
protection system and annunciation system.
• Monitor plant operations and handle emergencies including shut-down of units and load throw-off to
control generation as per requirement.
• Supporting and Guidance to the Shift Engineers, Desk & Field operators for safe operation of Power
Plant.
• Improvement planning from the existing process that leads to better productivity and Operating
efficiency.
• Monitoring the operational and maintenance records of Mechanical, E&I etc. maintained with the
focus on continual improvement.

3. • Conduct routine walk by inspections and act to compliance of the abnormalities found
• Involve in Preventive and regular maintenance of Mechanical, Electrical & Instrumentation during
respective shifts
• Coordinating with other sections of CPP and other departments of OCL (L1, L2 &Refractory) to
optimize efficiency and minimize downtime.
• Monitoring and controlling the utilization of third party service resources like JCB, Loader, Tippers
and tractors.
• Any other work assigned time to time by Head CPP.
• Making DGR Report, Monthly Report, Yearly Report, Technical Report, Daily Job Planning,
Monthly Planning, Yearly Planning.
• Creating Notification, Product Order, Product Release, Preventive Maintance Order open/close,
Shutdown planning jobs etc. Through SAP.
